  1. Sarah Palin's "map" that was posted on her website the other day, and that she recently removed. http://i55.tinypic.com/29f9hue.jpg
  2. Safari isn't working on my iPhone, for some reason, so I'm basically screwed trying to give you guys links (IPB app doesn't let me browse away). If anyone can help me with that, I'd appreciate it. Early reports were that she passed away, and now they are saying she's in critical condition, in surgery, at Univ. hospital. Parents confirmed it, and so did someone on staff at the hospital. Four or five others have died, one may be a federal judge, one may be a kid...but reports are coming out that say the child is also in critical condition.
  3. Don't have any links yet, I'm on my iPhone. It's all over the news. EDIT: She's said to be in critical condition, 12 others shot as well, in Tucson.
  4. Best player, and MVP, are two different things. James was the MVP last season because, yes, the Cavaliers were built just for him. Remove the facilitating slasher, and you have a bunch of shooters (Mo, Gibson, Moon, Parker, Jamison, West, even Big Z). You can't expect that team to do ANYTHING when none of them can create their own shot. That's Basketball 101. Stick Wade on today's Cavaliers (and include Big Z), and I'm pretty sure he could win at least 55 games, if not more. James was the second best player in the NBA last year, but a validated MVP award winner. There's nothing to discredit him for...but you can't deny that the Cavs were built around him and would struggle greatly without his facilitating.
  5. And because he jumps higher than most others that have ever participated in the contest. Other than jumping so high and being so creative...what else is required from a top five dunk contest champ?
  6. Kobe made two graceful buckets to end the game (not sure what other word I could use right now). That lefty hook was pretty. Still, the Lakers are just really weird right now. I don't get what they are trying to do.
  7. Because Dwight Howard was a top five greatest dunker in contest history, and Serge Ibaka already has a dunk contest victory under his belt (and so does Blake, even though he's a PF).
  8. Felton gets a triple double, and I'm surprised? For such an amazing offensive player, Nash is absolutely horrific on defense, even when he was in his prime.
  9. I don't know. I'm not sure if he's ever coached a 50-win team (he probably got close to it in Boston when he first started coaching), but that's mainly because he really hasn't had the talent. Not a knock on the Pacers, but I'm not sure if any coach could lead them to 50 wins, so you can't set the bar too high right now. Plus, with the topic I just posted (about Granger possibly being shopped), there's just too much going on, both in rotations (which has something to do with inconsistent players) and locker room talk, I doubt the Pacers could even reach .500 for the season. It would take a Phil Jackson to put it all together and get them 41-42 wins, but even then, that's a reach. I'd let him finish out the season, see what seed the Pacers can snag, evaluate how the players perform in the playoffs, and make your biggest decisions in June/July.
  10. Uh oh. http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-110107-09/trimester-awards
  11. Haha, yeah, but as far as the second part goes, he's not afraid to fight anyone. I think he's already proven that a couple of times now, both instances where the guys were lucky he didn't lay into them too much (one took a single punch, the other had his girl ripping at Ronnie and trying to break it up). I know I wouldn't want to fight the dude, unless I really had to.
  12. I think they should be more specific, and define instances where this can be put into play. Getting arrested for a DUI? No reason to search the phone. What are you looking for? Steal something? Most definitely, yes. Running from the cops? Yes. I mean, if the cop has reason to look for information that can be related to the arrest, then so be it...but otherwise, I don't get why this would be allowed without the warrant.
  13. Ron is my dude, but he's becoming a puppet. He's too involved with his relationship to be on the show. Now, with that said...I think that works out for this season, because the storyline with him becoming friends with Jenni is pretty interesting, and Sammi punching Ron in the face, I'm surprised he didn't blow a fuse and go nuts (maybe he does). I've wanted to see two of the guys fight, though. I'm sick of seeing the chicks slap at each other.
  14. Chrome, switched over from Firefox not too long ago (and it imported everything without any problems). Twice as fast for me, and becoming more user-friendly. And, I actually use all browsers, every single day (for coding purposes), but the preferred browser would be Chrome.
  15. Everyone on OTR knows that, in 2-3 years or however long it's going to take for Slaven to get married, dude is going to be playing some Shania Twain at his wedding, and I hope he's considerate enough to invite the entire site, even kingfish.
  16. Mike had me rolling on the floor. "She'd be Thanksgiving...she's gotta lot to give, and she's looking to be stuffed." And out of all the chicks, Sammi looks the best. Jenn is 90% plastic, that new chick's face and ass are just terrible, and there's no point in me saying anything about Snooks.
  17. If you're wanting to post them all in this topic, that would be great. No big deal at all. I think we've had a couple posted, actually...but I can't find the topic. It may have been on another site I frequent.
  18. Welcome to the best. Bring more fans over, if you can. We aren't as active as we could be, but there's sort of an advantage to that as well...having less trolling than most sites, more intelligent members, etc. Quality > quantity, even though we could use a little more activity and members.
  19. Chill out, fellas. I can tell where the debate is going, and I may have to search your cell phones if you don't stop.
  20. I live in a town of around 11,000 people...and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened here (again). A year or two ago, someone drove by our community college and let off a few rounds. Before that, probably 4-5 years ago (can't remember exactly when), someone was shot in the head right off the highway, in front of the college gymnasium. A few of you remember me telling you how our town was flooded (literally half of the town under water, over houses), and the oil spill that happened ruined at least 35-40% of the town...had to knock down all buildings and houses in that area. Well, a lot of the people were left homeless, and crime rates took off from there...and since then, many of those people have moved in with others on "my side" of town, and it's been a wreck ever since. More fighting, more drugs in a smaller area, just bad news all around. In the last two years, I can probably name at least six people that have killed themselves, five of which were due to drugs or some type of dispute...and that's just out of the people I know by name. Rumor was that Coffeyville is one of the highest-rated crime cities in the nation, when adjusted for population. Probably a false rumor, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.
  21. For one, you don't have to be a [expletive] about it, just because you realize you're wrong. But, you'll get it right back. Those international players come here to play in the states, and also to live here. And, how many do this? There are currently 420+ players in the NBA. If the league is expanded, ALL of them will be required to go on these trips overseas. If someone like Kyrie Irving gets drafted to some team from Spain, he doesn't have a choice...either he plays "NBA" basketball, or he doesn't. Don't compare the two situations. He wouldn't be the only one, but you wouldn't care to respect anyone's opinion (in regards to anything, let alone traveling) to begin with, so I'm not even sure if I'm doing the right thing by replying to any of this. Umm...you didn't read my post, or else you would've seen me talk about it. I won't quote it...just go back and re-read. Your idea is busted, unless you have the same amount of overseas teams as you do US teams. Otherwise, the overseas teams will be at a disadvantage because they'll have to have more of those "overseas road trips" throughout the season, playing 7-8 consecutive games away from home more often than the US teams. Simple to understand. Worthless unless you plan on eliminating 10-15 NBA teams (or adding 10-15 international, lol), and it's not worth losing that many city's fans over. People travel to see their teams play in the playoffs. Lakers fans travel everywhere, clear to Boston, to watch their team. I doubt the same amount would all pack up and go to Spain, though. If the Thunder and Bulls were to ever meet in the Finals, they would be close enough to rake in a lot of fans from both sides, all games of the series. But, hey, if half of those games are in London...not going to happen, because it's far less likely the Thunder fans will travel that far to watch 3-4 games of that series, and if it's a Game 7 in London...sad stuff. I feel sorry for the fans that would have to put up with that ridiculous [expletive]. Cool. That's why we play preseason games overseas. I'm all for that. But just because kids can't travel to the US to see one game, it doesn't mean we need to add international teams and expand, not if it risks us losing talent in the draft, losing interest in the US, and losing our sport altogether. LOL, right...so when the time comes, and Spain plays, say, Russia...in the NBA Finals...do we all pack up and go to the games? Who are we rooting for? Does anyone care? I love basketball as much (or more) than anyone on OTR, and watch every single NBA game that I can, no matter the team...but during the Olympics? I was only interested in the US, and there was no rivalry. Plus, those countries (ex. Spain) will have US players on them. What if two KU players (say, Selby and Rush) end up playing for Spain? One gets drafted, the other gets traded...do I root for them when a US team goes over there to play? The rivalry factor makes no sense if these international teams are filled with US players and coaches. It's not like we'll be adding any other players from their country (enough to make a difference, at least). If we already have their best, the rest will still be playing elsewhere. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Other countries are involved, they just don't have our teams traveling over there and playing a lot of games on their turf. Too bad. If I was an NBA player, I wouldn't want to travel multiple times a year, across the world, with my family (who may not want to). If ten international teams are added, that could be 20 games I'd have to travel for (three of your international road trips). Those international teams? They would be playing against 20 NBA teams, another 20 games MINIMUM that they are traveling for (more, actually, because five of those teams you'd have to play four times, two on the road). Stupid move by the NBA. Keep my league in the states, and we'll play those countries every two years.
  22. Kyrie makes the most sense, because he's missing so many games (is he ruled out for the season yet?), but Barnes can still turn it around. He has time, especially in the tourney. College players can boost their draft positions, big time, if they find a way to drag their team into the Final Four. Of course, I don't see that happening. In the scenario that it doesn't...Barnes will most likely stay put and play another year.
