  1. No, we're comparing quite possibly the greatest duo of all-time, and two top ten players of all-time, to three guys that have never played a single game together. I've never in my life seen a team this overrated before, without playing a single game. Ever. Not even the 2004 Lakers, with Malone and GP.
  2. Haha. You would need Bosh AND one of the other two just to defend Shaq in the post. Shaq won his first ring without a prime Kobe. You're telling me that Wade, Bosh and LeBron are better than a prime duo of Shaq and Bryant, the same duo that ran the 15-1 record in the playoffs? Had that duo not suffered so many injuries throughout the years they were together, they would've challenged the Bulls' record for most wins in a season, and that's WITHOUT a third scoring option. Give both groups of players teammates to work with (or just take the dynasty Lakers vs. the current Heat team), and Miami wins one or two games in a series, at the most.
  3. Haha man, I swear, I know I'll never do it again. I have a nasty mid-range game, but I rarely pull up for threes. I hit two of them during our first game, and I got the ball kicked back out to me on a drive, and I drilled a third. Hit a fourth the next possession, walking up the court and pulling up without passing. It got wicked from there, scored ALL of the points in the second game to 21, almost all of them in the third game.
  4. I hit 16 consecutive threes at the park tonight. Never done anything like that, ever. It was in-game, too...and I swear on my life, I was giving myself goosebumps, and I felt like there wasn't a single player on my team at one point. And I will never do that again, either. I don't think I could go back out there and even hit four or five threes in a row, unguarded.
  5. That was actually really funny, and mean. He's good at giving himself shots, though, just not good at giving his team shots.
  6. Legalize drugs? Maybe weed, but go ahead and legalize things like meth and coke and see how many people are killed, by accident and intentionally, at work or on the streets, and see drug cartels run the show in the US, like they are doing in Mexico. It sounds like you've come here to cause destruction on Earth, the way you're putting all of this. Allow murderers to roam free because they pay their way out of their crimes? That will work well with hitmen, I suppose. Drug lords will love that idea. As mentioned, Manson (who had tons of followers) would've already been out. Work their way out of their crimes? They work in jail. They do laundry, make tags, work the yard, and are even driven to highways to pick up trash during the day. There's no way any of that will go down because the lives of innocent people are actually valuable.
  7. Portland can't beat us as long as we have HCA in the playoffs. Houston can be trouble, but Yao's health is still a concern, and I'm not worried too much about Kevin Martin. If they get Melo, though? Big, big problem. The Spurs aren't the same. No Bowen, no idea how much Manu will even produce at any given time...just not the force they used to be. Phoenix is out of the question, and so are the Hornets, Clippers, Grizzlies, and with the number of players Utah lost, they are in the same boat. The Wolves, Kings and Warriors may not even make the playoffs. Denver won't even have Melo by the time April rolls in. Dallas is a big threat, but to be honest, I have really never had a reason to be worried about them while the Lakers are winning rings. Oklahoma City took us to six games, but Bryant had a swollen, fluid-filled knee for 4-5 of them. Durant will only get better, though, and so will Westbrook, so I have to say the Thunder are the biggest threat out West. With that established, I'm not going to break a sweat if we're 100% healthy.
  8. My diabetic buddy! Hope the dude makes it. He's liable to go on a shooting spree if he doesn't grab a roster spot somewhere.
  9. I really don't. When I watch football, I watch JUST the games. I had enough of guys like Bradshaw and Howie years ago. Irvin is in the same boat.
  10. One of my cousins had a similar problem, and the doctor said that medication can help with it when you're studying, but it will hurt you later on while you're testing. Not really sure how, or what that means, but we were talking about it last summer.
  11. You reach the "6" with your left index finger, not the right.
  12. I don't see how Vick is overrated. The only person I've seen swinging from his jock in the media is Steven A. Smith. He's still got his legs, and he's not overthrowing his receivers 10+ yards, like many said he was going to do this season.
  13. I actually didn't hear Reid's explanation (or read, or Reid) what he said just yet, so...hmm. Vick's mobility is a big stepping stone on their road to the playoffs, and I think that's what separates the two QB's the most. So it sounds like it comes down to the sure thing, or the question mark.
  14. Going in, the Lakers. The Heat haven't played a game yet, and LA is the defending champs. Could change by June, though. Just need to wait and see.
  15. Well, Al Davis and his "win now" attitude worked up until he went away from it, and he eventually saw something in JaMarcus Russell. Stayed with him, gave him the big bucks, and figured he could ride him back into the sunset. For me, Kolb never proved anything for the club to toss McNabb aside (as much as I hate Donovan) and to give Kolb the guns. From a business standpoint, sure, it's smart to stick with Kolb...but you play to win in professional sports. I wonder how many thought Larry Johnson was going to rip the league apart, or what LT was going to do to the NFL after he cashed in. Kolb is a decent QB, but I have yet to see anything from him that tells me he's a franchise QB. Two different things. When a decent QB falls to injury, and a former star comes in to take his place AND that star plays the way Vick has, compliments the players well, etc...you have to do what's best for the current team. Maybe Kolb is having trouble getting back on the practice field...who knows. But Vick definitely deserves the start.
  16. It's definitely not smart for their future, but why do I get the feeling people think Kolb is going to turn into Drew Brees?
  17. Changing my stance on this... He earned it. I could really care less what happens with the Eagles, but there's no doubt he proved he's a starter in the league. Just two games, but it doesn't take much to see how valuable he is.

  19. That was clear as day, just like me saying "necessary precautions" doesn't work on everyone. You wouldn't mind releasing murderers as long as they go through some therapy sessions and take their meds. Unfortunately, you're one of the few that doesn't mind. Right, because killing terrorists should be viewed the same way as killing an innocent 10-year old boy. We're all human!
  20. What a sad season for him so far. Handing over the Heisman after the media wouldn't leave him alone, and now this.
  21. Chalmers ate up 45% of the team's minutes at point last year. That's 22 minutes of the 24-25 he averaged. Derek Fisher doesn't run the offense, either, but that doesn't mean he's not a point guard. When Spo is drawing up plays on offense, Chalmers is the one, Wade is the two. A "2 Double" would be a play drawn for Wade to score (just making a play up, of course). You can't change where Chalmers is on the court. If you slot him at the two, you're going to run more scoring plays for him, and I'm sure the Heat won't want that, nor do they want to re-write the playbook. And the help defense...doesn't matter who it is, you're still leaving your man. Houston's method of beating the Lakers was forcing Bryant into help (Battier is the best in the NBA at doing this), and it would require his teammates knocking down shots to beat them. You expect the Heat to help Mike Miller defend Fisher? Just because Fisher doesn't score 20 a game doesn't mean he can't paralyze your team. Ask Boston what he did in the NBA Finals, Game 3. But I'm not going to dig too deep into that, because I doubt Spo wants Miller defending the point (especially Blake).
