It was a joke. Not to discredit his value to the team, of course.
-
Well, most definitely everyone else...but because Nash couldn't contain him, it turned EVERYTHING into a mismatch for Miller. He was too fast for Frye, too strong for Nash and Barbosa, and too smart and fast for Richardson. Tough cover for most point guards, sort of like Billups and Williams.
-
I wouldn't disagree with that. Portland will more than likely win a game at the Rose Garden and I think Phoenix can steal one there (almost did it back in December). So I'll expect a 2-2 tie heading into Game 5, and if that's the case, it's a six-game series at the least.
-
No idea. We figured we had it locked up (the Lakers) when we went up 3-1 against the Suns. Portland is still a very good team without Roy, but once you play the same playoff team 4-5 times in a row, your guys start looking for answers in their superstars. We saw it with the Lakers, and Kobe wasn't enough to topple Amare, Nash and Marion back then. Larger roles for older players...they'll start hurting, no matter how good they are playing tonight. Sucks, but I have to admit that I still wouldn't put money on Portland winning this series.

While the TEAM won, most credit goes to... 1) Nate McMillan, because he recognized the mismatch between Nash and Miller in the post, and he took advantage of it more than I've seen any other coach do. 2) Andre Miller, for dominating Nash. 3) Marcus Camby, minus the missed dunk, because his defense was nothing short of great this game. Phoenix won't lose the series, though. While I hope Portland wins, guys will need to lean on Brandon Roy in two or three of these playoff games, if the series goes seven...and Roy won't be there. Miller can hold his own, but it won't be smooth-sailing every game, and Amare is bound to go off soon.

Suspension appears likely for Garnett
Real Deal replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
The first elbow was actually at Richardson's side, and it was pretty soft, just to clear him out of the way. The second elbow was to crack him in the face, which deserves a suspension. -
What's wrong with the current one? I'll listen to suggestions. The old skin had too many bugs. It's up.

Richardson takes a jab at Pierce
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
Quoted! If Boston would lock Wade up more often like they did in that second half, they'd win every game by 15+ points. -
Who wants to bet Bulletproof won't be able to read Yama's answers?

Forgive me for thinking he was faking it. I'm used to him acting hurt, and apparently, so is Q-Rich. http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/news/story?id=5107909

You guys do realize that no player has said he's leaving his current team. So, if you're going to take Wade's word for it, you might as well do that with the rest. Therefore, you would have to believe that all of these free agents are staying put...which is highly unlikely. Let's put it this way: Kobe Bryant could've been a free agent this summer. Instead, he signed his extension. He's staying a Laker, and that's a fact. If these guys were so sure of themselves, they'd all do the same thing...but they are waiting for the playoff results, and to see what their team draws in free agency.

Dude, I swear, I almost died laughing when I first saw the commercial, and it was because of the ending. "Pah-pah-paaah-pah-pah-pah power!"

Too many fans hating on Kobe (big time, during games) and the Fisher incident topped it off (where a couple of fans were holding their eye, poking fun at Fisher's daughter's eye cancer). Nah, I really don't like any other West teams, with the exception of the Thunder (and only because they are in OKC). Denver has too many players I can't stand. JR Smith is way too cocky for his skillset, Melo laughs off a lot of his losses, I never liked K-Mart even in his days with the Nets, and even though I feel sorry for him and his situation, George Karl has always been annoying. All in my opinion, of course.

Don't care which we play, really. Utah would get ran, Denver would lose in six. I'd rather play Utah so we could get some rest, but I can't root for the Jazz, ever. Can't really root for either. Pretty tough.

RD2: (6)Confidence vs. (3)Legacy
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
We'll let it go overnight and into the afternoon. -
Wow, nobody cares about this game, haha. Okur destroyed his ankle...not returning, getting an MRI to see what his status is for the rest of the series. Boozer is playing like he's 100% healthy out there, and Miles was tearing it up. Denver and Utah can't figure out who wants to lead, so it's back and forth. Ah, and Kenyon Martin is arguably Denver's MVP.
-
Tony Allen was the biggest reason Wade struggled in the second half. Daniels is no Allen on defense, and to be honest, Allen had a pretty good offensive performance for Boston, also.
-
Did Jennings do something wrong to piss Skiles off? Why did he sit him through some of the most important sections of the game? It is what it is...felt like it was bad coaching, really. The Bucks probably didn't have a shot to begin with, after the Hawks went nuts, but Jennings would've at least given his teammates hope out there, and could've started the rally that they desperately needed. I think Atlanta let their foot off the gas a bit, though, thinking the game was over. Can't really do that. It's too bad Bogut isn't on the court.
-
Wade didn't score in 17-18 minutes (until the last 2 minutes of the game, I believe). Boston seemed to be a better defensive team with Garnett off the court, too...which is when they made the strongest part of their run, if I recall correctly. Garnett's first elbow wasn't bad. The second one was. Plus, at the end of the game, they said he pushed a referee...right? If so, he's gone for Game 2. That second elbow is enough to draw the suspension...they consider it the same as a punch...but if he pushed a referee, that's the icing on the cake. I still can't believe the Celtics locked Wade up like that, though. He was crushing them, and then the tides changed, quickly. And I'm sorry, but Pierce is a terrible actor.

RD2: (6)Confidence vs. (3)Legacy
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Legacy 6, Confidence 4 (if I'm counting correctly). Keep voting, and lose the personal attacks, or else you'll be suspended until the playoffs are over. -
Rose was getting hit as much as LeBron, and while LeBron did get most of the calls, it wasn't that bad for Derrick. The one thing to look at was how many times Shaq cleared space with his elbows. That was ridiculous...but he's been doing that every play ever since he slowed down after the championship in Miami. The refs need to call that, though. Noah couldn't hold him, but Miller doesn't have that much trouble. However, when you're throwing those elbows and pushing your defender off of you with your hands, it's a different story. Chicago wasn't going to win this game, anyway. They couldn't hit any of their open shots most of the game.

Yeah, my aunt has it, and she's taking the same thing, just no vitamins. What vitamins did he tell you to take? Just curious, because I will have it soon, haha. Sucks to hear you're done with them, though...but for some reason, I think you may fire up Photoshop every now and then.
