Not many rules to follow...just know that the topics will be locked when each series begins. Also, entry edits will be tracked in the ACP, to prevent staff members from editing their own, and any staff member cheating will be demoted immediately. Fill out each series for the best chance of winning. For round-by-round winners, you must complete at least six in the first round, three in the second, and the three remaining series (conference finals and NBA Finals) to be eligible. Overall winner must complete 11/15 series. Scores will be totaled at the end of the season, and a tie-breaker will be determined by individual round totals and victories NOT including the NBA Finals (three rounds, someone will have to win). Top Prize: a couple of jersey cards of your favorite team or player (I have over 50 from a long time ago) Scoreboard will be posted below.

Fill in the following. Ten points for each correct answer, minus ten for each missed (which includes extending the series over the correct amount of games). If you feel the series will extend past four games, continue to add an answer to each game you think the series will play to. +10 bonus for the correct series winner, +15 for a perfect series. For example, if you believe the Celtics will win the series 4-2, you should fill in six winners. Boston has home court advantage.

Haha, that's because topics in the team forums and NBA discussion forum are sent to Twitter via a feed.

Nightmare on Elm Street Trailer #2
Real Deal replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Well, right...I knew that (read somewhere that they were going to do that before the trailer was even released). However, I think that one change may sway some of the old Krueger fans away from the movie. It won't me, for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. With Halloween and Friday The 13th, it was different in that the characters wore a mask. By just looking, you can tell this isn't Robert Englund...but people just need to remind themselves that Englund is 60+ years old and done with Freddy. Big task replacing him. http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/image/article/747/747599/top-25-movie-franchises-of-all-time-20061126075751665.jpg -
I guess I'm one of the few that remembers some guy named Amare Stoudemire is arguably one of the best players in the NBA in the second half of the season? And in the same light, Nash is still a top three point guard in the league. Zero percent chance Phoenix loses this series.

There wouldn't be a fix. The Knicks give up their pick to the Jazz, since it's unprotected.

I'm not sure what to say, though. Mine has been fine, loads those GIF avatars quickly. Same with Jessica's laptop. My brother's computer doesn't have the problem, either, and it looks like everyone else on the site doesn't have it. Did you disable avatars? Or maybe you just didn't want to?

New rules for round two: 1) 16 lines max. 2) At least one of those lines must be about your opponent's favorite sports team (basketball, football, etc). 3) One line has to end with your opponent's display name on OTR. You can exclude numbers. 4) Cussing will be censored if you decide to use it. Don't bypass the censor with asterisks or other symbols. 5) If you say Dick Vitale's first name, please censor it yourself by typing [expletive]. In the manner it would be used in this contest, it should be filtered out. NOBODY ELSE POST IN THIS TOPIC UNTIL THE SECOND RAP IS ADDED. After both competitors are finished, members can place their vote. Please explain your vote. The lower seeds (in terms of position) go first. Based on this match-up, Confidence will be asked to post his, followed by Legacy. You have two days to post. Good luck, fellas. Run yo mouth!

Is there a page for each schedule, or do I need to go to each team's site for that?

NBA Fines Jackson $35k For Comments On Referees
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
LMAO, he never quits. I'm glad Phil isn't a part of my family, or a friend. I would hate sitting in a room, in a full-blown discussion, over anything with him listening. He'd be picking at my brain so much, I'd probably develop aneurysms. -
I'm a Raiders fan, so let's find the absolute fastest player in the draft, hands down, and select him...doesn't matter if he's a back, receiver or a kicker. Just take the speed demons!

Grading on a Curve: 2009-2010 Final Grades
Real Deal replied to Erick Blasco's topic in General NBA Discussion
Kobe has looked like a mortal through the first 46 minutes of games because he's been playing with an avulsion fracture in his index finger, a dislocation on the same shooting hand, a swollen knee, twisted ankle and back spasms. 2008-09: 26.8 PPG on .467 FG, 5.2 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1.5 SPG 2009-10: 27.0 PPG on .456 FG, 5.4 RPG, 5.0 APG, 1.5 SPG All things considered, not much of a difference in the general statistics. If those are numbers by a "mortal" in the basketball world, I guess the bar is set pretty high. -
Five games max. Roy won't be playing much after that first game. That knee is going to bleed and swell. Stupid, stupid idea to play through that tear.

Just passing information from Chad Ford. And yes, I'm 99.9% sure it's a coin flip. You're right. Basically, Toronto and Memphis have seven and six combinations, respectively, but the same record. Therefore, as you said, it splits and averages, and since the average isn't an integer (because you can't have a half of a combination), you do the coin flip.

That would suck, because the Kings are in our division. Imagine if the Knicks get the #1 pick. Imagine a trio of Wall, LeBron and Bosh. KEEP DREAMING, KNICKS FANS.
