honestly I think they should have given him more opportunities as a starter before the trade deadline. Then if he proved he could be a starter, they could have traded Calderon. Although Jose was hurt at the time so he might have had less value. Who knows, we'll see what they do in the offseason with him.

This is a very good move for the Bucks to give them a legitimate top scoring option to play along with Brandon Jennings. Plus with the Bucks trying to make a playoff push, Monta Ellis should be able to help them to not only make the playoffs, but possibly put up a solid fight in the first round. Warriors: D+ With this trade, the Warriors have all but given up on this season. At 18-22, the Warriors still had a shot at the playoffs, had they made a move that would help them this season. Unfortunately, with Bogut being out for the season, and Stephen Jackson having a very down year, this might be an attempt by Golden State to tank the rest of the year. Not to mention they lost their former 2010 6th overall draft pick Ekpe Udoh. He was just recently given starter minutes, and was playing very well. The best thing that came out of this trade is being able to unload Kwame Brown from their roster. Pacers Receive: Leandro Barbosa Raptors Receive: Second Round Draft Pick Pacers: A Indiana, currently sitting at 5th place in the East, came into the NBA trade deadline wanting to make a trade to help them out in a possible playoff run. Barbosa, the former 6th man of the year, is a very good player for any team to have coming off the bench. He can hit three-pointers and can also drive the ball to the basket. He also adds a ton of leadership to some of the younger guards like Darren Collison, Paul George and George Hill. Raptors: B The Raptors are a rebuilding team, and everyone knew that if someone was going to be moved, the veteran Barbosa would probably be at the top of the list. It was probably a good move to trade Barbosa now, instead of risking losing him for nothing in FA this summer. This move will also probably help out the Raptors own draft pick, so it wasn’t just the pick from Indiana that they’re getting out of this. The only reason I rate it no higher than a B is because I think the Raptors could have possibly gotten a better pick from another team. Nets Receive: Gerald Wallace Trail Blazers Receive: Mehmet Okur Shawne Williams First Round Pick Nets: D This is the definition of desperation. The Nets appeared to go into panic mode once Howard suddenly went off the market. The Nets know that for Deron Williams to stick around past this season, he’s going to want another star playing alongside with him. Unfortunately for them, Gerald Wallace Probably won’t cut it. Not only that, but now they won’t have their first round draft pick, which will most likely be anywhere from 5-10 overall. This team could be in big trouble. Trail Blazers: B+ The Trail Blazers did a very good job of taking advantage of the Nets desperation to make a big move. They unloaded veteran Gerald Wallace for a very good package. Mehmet Okur is a solid C/PF, and if he ends up playing for Portland, he could end up being a good piece. Shawne Williams is not anything more than a bench player, but the Blazers probably just wanted somebody who could pick up a few of Wallace’s minutes. The first round pick is really where The Blazers made out well in the draft, If they are lucky they will be getting a very high draft pick in a solid draft year. Lakers Receive: Ramon Sessions Cavaliers Receive: Luke Walton Christian Eyenga Jason Kapono 1st Round Pick Lakers: A The Lakers did a great job of picking up a legitimate PG at the deadline. With Derek Fisher’s career on a downward spiral, they needed a fresh look at PG if they wanted a chance at a deep playoff run this season. Bringing in Sessions is a great move for Los Angeles. Not to mention they unloaded two of their worst players in Walton and Kapono. Cavaliers: C+ The Cavaliers made a move for the future on this one. Although before this trade I thought the Cav’s were going to make a push for the final playoff spot in the East, I think they didn’t want that. This might give them a slightly better draft pick, not having Sessions coming off the bench for them at PG. Spurs Receive: Stephen Jackson Warriors Receives: Richard Jefferson T.J. Ford First Round Pick Spurs: C The Spurs did a good job in improving their team’s chances at a championship for this season. Even though Jackson’s production has been pretty bad this year, he’s still a step up from Jefferson. Who knows, maybe his production will improve playing for the team he played for early in his career. The problem is the fact that the Spurs core players aren’t getting any younger, and trading away first round picks for more aging veterans probably isn’t the best thing to do. Warriors: B+ The Warriors made a smart decision flipping Stephen Jackson after getting him in a trade two days before the deadline with the Bucks. It was obvious that Jackson wasn’t going to be a part of the Warriors going forward and swapping him for a first round pick and someone to play his minutes for now was a good move for them. Rockets Receive: Marcus Camby Trail Blazers Receive: Jonny Flynn Hasheem Thabeet Second Round Pick Rockets: C+ Marcus Camby is nearing the end of his career at the age of 37, but he can still be a solid player for the Rockets coming off the bench. With Dalembert already there as the starting C, Camby is a good presence to come off the bench, and he can still come down with a ton of boards. Both Dalembert and Flynn have less than 15 MPG for the Rockets, and they really were not pitching in much. Trail Blazers: B The Blazers made it pretty obvious today, that they were going to unload their aging veterans for draft picks and young players. Being able to trade Camby, who at 37 is probably in his second last season of his career, for a draft pick and two young players, was good for Portland. Although, both the young players who they received has underperformed this season, maybe a change of scenery, or some more playing time will help these two out. Rockets Receive: Derek Fisher Lakers Receive: Jordan Hill First Round Pick (From Mavericks) Rockets: A+ The Rockets did a great job with this trade, somehow getting a first round pick for Jordan Hill. Hill is a not bad player, but there is no way he would get a first round pick from any other teams. The Rockets were lucky of the fact that the Lakers really just wanted to save some money, and sending out the underperforming Fisher was the best way to do so. Lakers: D The Lakers paid a first round pick, just to ship out a guy who has been a part of this storied franchise for the majority of his career since 1996, just to save a bit of money. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like they got nothing in return. Jordan Hill is a solid backup centre for Bynum, and is actually an improvement to the Lakers awful bench. But now the Lakers have no first round picks this year, after having two at the start of the day. Nuggets Receive: JaVale Mcgee Wizards Receive: Nene Clippers Receive: Nick Young Ronny Turiaf Brian Cook Second Round Pick Nuggets: C- The Nuggets really took a gamble on this trade. They better hope Mcgee can get his act together, or this is going to be a failure for them. Denver has been on a slide lately, going from first in the West to eighth over a few months. Maybe they thought they needed a shake up to give their team a bit of a wakeup call, but I still find this one hard to understand for them. Wizards: C+ The Wizards needed to get rid of Mcgee. He has just not been able to overcome sheer stupidity to be smart enough to play in the NBA. He’s got a ton of potential and talent, but unfortunately his basketball IQ is just way too low. Now in return, they get a very good veteran centre to play with John Wall for atleast a couple years, and a draft pick. Brian Cook will probably rarely step off the bench. Clippers: A+ Getting Nick Young for the useless Brian Cook, and a second round draft pick, which will likely be a late one, is a steal for them. Nick Young has not been a dominant player in the league by any means, but he can still spread the floor with his 3 point capabilities. He is still very young and has a solid potential. There is nothing to complain about for this one.

Must be a way of trying to get people to go watch an already brutal Charlotte team go play against a not exactly big name team in the Raptors

I didn't watch last nights game because of March Madness, but other than that from what i've seen he's been playing well enough when he's the starter, to be the starter. I think this should give us more than enough confidence to possibly trade Calderon at the draft if Bayless continues his dominance as the starter.
