  1. I hope you enjoy Barbosa. He wasn't really doing anything in TO but hurting our lottery chances. He's a great presence off the bench, and he can fill in for an injury at either the 1, 2 or even 3 a bit. You'll like him.
  2. ahahahaha thanks. At first it seemed like they had it planned out that she was going to make a happy face for walton, pau and bynum and do sad face for fisher. But then when she starts crying, you knew it was real
  3. I don't really have a problem with the Versteeg trade. If he would have played like hes been playing in Florida all year it would have been great, but they still managed to swap him for a first and a third round draft picks. They used that pick to get Tyler Biggs, so we'll see how that works out.Other than Stalberg, none of those prospects have done anything in the NHL yet, so i wouldn't call it a bad trade by any means. As far as FA signings goes, that definitely seems to be Burkies weakness. He has been unable to sign a good player in free agency that has really been able to help this team out. Unfortunately, this year probably won't be any better considering Olli Jokinen is like the top prize. I agree with what you said, if you execute it properly. Look at pretty much each one of those team you used as examples. All of them have a few grit players, but each one of them has atleast 2-4 players that do possess some offensive skill that can chip in offensively. The Leafs have no one. Connolly you could say he would, before this season where hes been atrocious. But Steckel, Crabb, Lombardi, Frattin and Brown/Rosehill do not posses enough skill to chip in offensively. You could argue that Frattin and Lombardi do, but really they haven't shown it at all this year. Oh, and Crabb was playing pretty good offensively when he was first called up, but he's been basically invisible for a couple months now. I don't have much to say to that, you basically are right. The only thing to be a little bit more hopeful for is that we've got two first round picks from last year (Percy and Biggs) and we are most likely going to have a top 5 pick this year. Maybe if he draft right, and develop these guys, we will have more then a first round knock out kind of playoff team ahead of us. IF we can finally make a few decent FA signings. For sure his time should be running out. If we're not in a playoff spot next year I think he's gone. And if we can't atleast be a contender to go to the second or third round in 2-3 years then he should be fired aswell. I'm assuming you, me and along with every other Leaf fan out there, are really getting down to our last wire of waiting. I can not stand to watch the Leafs be a piece of shit [expletive]ing team for another year. Not going to lie, I was one of those people that didn't care if our style might not have worked in the playoffs, i just wanted to see them make it for once.
  4. Duke really screwed me last night. What a brutal game from them. I've got them in elite 8. Oh and I have KSU beating Syracuse today.
  5. Final 4 of Kentucky, Marquette, Florida St. and North Carolina Final of Kentucky and North Carolina Champion North Carolina Too be honest, I kind of wish I would have maybe done it differently, because seeing some of the big upsets, and how close some others have been, i kind of doubt that Kentucky and North Carolina will be in the championship game.
  6. I've got to admit, i'd actually be pretty pissed if he was fired. I personally think other then arguably the Kessel deal, there are almost no trades he's done where he lost the trade. He is one of the best in the business in pulling off pretty one sided trades. I personally think Burke has just got to change the way he builds teams. His whole top-6 bottom-6 way of doing things doesn't seem to work. When you look at some of the top teams in the NHL like Boston or Vancouver, they don't have two top lines of skill players and two bottom lines of grinders. It just doesn't work. I still think this team can have a very bright future ahead if we keep around our young core guys like Kessel, Grabovski, Gardiner and Phaneuf who are currently on the team, and develop our young players currently playing for the Marlies and in the CHL and make sure to keep our first round picks every year, then I think we'll be alright. It's just been taking way longer than everyone was hoping for and expecting. I think Burke still has a fair amount of work to do to bring in a few more really good players, and put some better role players around them. Honestly, I do think Burke is very overrated by some Leafs fans, without question. But I don't think its at a point where he should be fired. It was not that long ago that the Leafs were in a playoff spot, and no body was complaining then. It just seems like the entire team just collapsed, and Burke was in complete shock. If Burke would have grown the balls to fire Wilson awhile ago, then I think we would be in a playoff spot right now.
  7. Bargnani has played more for the raps then a lot of the guys on the list so you could probably put him up there.
  8. I've got 25 in our Yahoo one, and 26 in the ESPN one. I tried to copy my one on Yahoo to be the exact same as my original one on ESPN, but i accidently put Texas instead of cincy, so I have one difference. Still, i'm having my best year yet.
  9. Thats what I meant about Demar. I can't see him being successful playing SF because i just can't imagine trying to watch him defend guys like lebron james, kevin durant, josh smith etc. Guys that would just completely out power him. I don't think theres any reason the Raptors should be looking at a possible for replacement for Derozan so early in the draft though. I can understand them drafting Beal if he really proves it in the tournament that he could be great, and Barnes and MKG are already taken. But I think Demar has really picked up his game over the past two months or so. He was just ice cold at the start of the season, and thats why he hasn't been able to get his numbers to look that great.
  10. I have them up to sweet sixteen, so my bracket isn't completely ruined.
  11. WOW. What an upset! Good for Norfolk, that was an amazing game. Kyle O'Quinn seems like one hell of a player
  12. Any way you think he could play the point? I don't think theres any way that Raptors see him in their future plans unless he can. Some people say Demar could always move to SF, but I don't think his game would transition well to SF.
  13. Mcadoo playing very well for UNC. Might be rising his draft rankings with these kinds of performances. He's currently ranked middle of the second or so I believe
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nILTtwCgII8 I'm sure quite a few of you have seen it already, but if you haven't you should watch it. It's on Netflix. I found it pretty cool seeing some of theses guys whoa re top players in the NBA right now playing basketball as kids in highschool. The movie features: Jerryd Bayless Michael Beasley Tyreke Evans Donte Greene Brandon Jennings Kevin Love Kyle Singler Lance Stephenson Each one of them has been drafted in the NBA.
  15. The newest ones are the cleanest looking, but I like the look of the 09-11 ones a lot too.
  16. Myck Kabongo should really stay for another year in college. That was a brutal game for him, that erally was a lot of the reason Texas ended up losing. He has quite a bit of work left to do on his game, and staying another year in Texas where he will get lots of minutes should help him develop more. As for Rivers, I didn't really know anything about him personally, so by the sounds of it I guess he probably will stick around in Duke for another year. But if he can continue to rise in the draft rankings, he might not be able to resist the urge to take his game to the next level.
  17. [expletive]! Texas came so close. I picked them to get the upset to the second round. I changed the channel when they were down by 18. I switched back and they were on a huge run. That was a heart breaker
  18. I'm curious to see how Austin Rivers plays as well. As of late, he's been rising pretty high in the draft rankings and i've seen one mock draft where the Raptors take him with a 6th pick or something. I'm not sure if he plays more PG or SG, but if he plays really well and rises his stock even more, the Raptors might want to take him. I'm sure we wouldn't take him if we had anywhere below like 6th pick, but if the draft lottery was to screw us for a second year in a row he's be a solid option.
  19. Why can't they play in the tournament next year? I said that assuming he would be dissapointed with the early exit and try to make a better run with another years experience under his belt.
