  1. I thought they should have taken Kemba at the draft when he fell that far, but if they didn't take him I hoped atleast for Brandon Knight. When they called out Jonas I was as frustrated as you. I just thought another damn European player who is going to be another bust. Although he hasn't played a game in the NBA yet, i've definitely changed my attitude towards him. He looks like he could be a monster for our team next year.

All I heard on nights prior to the draft was how raw Knight was and Kemba was too small to play in the NBA ... Knight 20 point night tells me he isn't as raw as we told he would be ... Hopefully with playing time this year and finally being healthy Baylsis

will show us his upside is better then Kemba or Knight ..

    Bismack Biyombo

last night 18 mins 11 pts 4 blocks and 8 boards .... He at least showing he isn't a Hasheem Thabeet ...

  2. I still have hope that he can snap out of how he's been playing so far this year. He has shown glimpses of how he can play earlier in the season where he was putting up 20+ points. Somebody really needs to give him a wake up call and show him some game film or something of a few of his earlier games this year.

When I mentioned the comparison it was more to do with two players who were gifted with so much athletic ability but one player made it work in the NBA and the other ended up being just a contestant in a NBA slam dunk competion ... Demar has been given so much opportunity to suceed & it's fustrating that this season he has taken a step backwards .. What fustrating also is that in his 3rd season he doesn't seem to have increased his rebound numbers or assist numbers ie given us another aspect of his game ... I think his career has been similar to Wizards Nick Young ... Heck OJ Mayo was once touted the next Lebron and has not even come close ... 3 players who played at the same NCAA program ..

  3. There's a couple of positives with Andrea being out:

    - We have an 'excuse' to lose some more games, which will mean higher lottery pick chance and fans not going as crazy with the loses stacking

    - Although I'm not impressed in the games played so far, this may be Demar's chance to get his damn head on straight and ball

    - I think everyone's pretty confident that Bargnani has taken a great stride forward in his play and is close to being a potential all-star. That being said, letting him take his time to heal, up especially during this rapid fire lockout season, will only be good for us (especially since we're tanking).

So I don't mind Bargnani missing a week or two. (although it hurts the eyes to watch the Raps now)

The conspirist in me says that the Raptors were over achieving and headed for medicority this year and then Bargs got hurt ... Something tells me they want him back at 200 percent before he can play again ... 100 percent just won't due

  4. I have to admit I was one of the Rap fans who said WTF Jonas Valanciunas on draft night ... I do think after a summer of following him ( thanks to this thead it help keep me updated ) I must say that he is going to be one of those players 10 years from now that we will say " How did that guy go as low as 5th "

Saying that I seem to be having one eye on him and the other guys who fall under the category of could've Should've

might've ie who we were looking at in mock drafts ... Also the guys some Rap fans booed cause Bryan didn't take him.

Kyrie Irving ( 17 pts 5.2 assists ) ( seems like the real deal ) ( people thought he should have stayed in school )

Derrick Williams ( 7 pts a game ) still early but not burning up the stat sheet

  5. Hi I am new to this forum .... Big Raps Fan

I think we were all prepared for a bad season but could this season have been more tolerable if Demar and Ed Davis didn't seem like they were taking a step backward ... What is a Derozan ? This organization is doing everything in it's power to help this kid but he isn't taking the ball and running with it ( as the saying goes ) ... Heck last home game they introduced him last which often goes to franchise players and so they are feeding his ego ...

    What is his upside ?
