Nets getting frustrated with Denver's demands?
AboveLegit replied to Dash's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I think it's bigger than just that, there's probably more than just 2 teams involved. -
Deron Williams doesn't get enough love.

KG hurt...Update: Will miss couple of weeks
AboveLegit replied to Celtics3420's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
It didn't look too bad, they will probably just sit him out for a few weeks. -
Great win, John finally shook off the rust and looked great. I got the feeling that when healthy, he has the ability to get a triple double every single game. He's all over the court, he has the quickness to get rebounds, and scoring and passing come natural to him. Nick Young was great too. He missed a lot of shots, but he rebounded the ball and played excellent defense. Hopefully that defensive tenacity shows up every game for him.

Hopefully we can get this win and stop this losing streak.

Wizards Gauging Interest In McGee, Blatche?
AboveLegit replied to Pooh25's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Nate Robinson had the ability to make the transition from an immature chucker to a mature spark off the bench, Blatche does not. He doesn't deserve to wear Celtics green. Anyways, I think it's time we move on. Great point there by Aldridge. We gotta move him ASAP, it's the right thing to do. I think the fear of corrupting Wall is silly (hence why I was so reluctant at first to trade Gil) but if it is indeed the reason why we moved Arenas, it only makes sense that we do the same with Dray. We're trying to change the culture of this team, so we gotta throw all the bad seeds out. As for JeVale, he's just immature on the court, and that can be rectified. I would hate to see him go, he has loads of potential, and he showed it earlier in the season. -
Wow, Ed Davis with 17 and 12, this kid needs to start. Any reason why Amir Johnson is still starting over him?

Well only 3 teams have ever made the Finals 4 times straight, and the West has had 4 years to catch up to LA.. Now teams are finally understanding what it takes to beat these guys. Kobe's hand may be bothering him, but man, he looked so frustrated out there. He got into George Hill's face for no reason (except to vent), he took ill advised shots, and reminded me a lot of the 2005 Bryant that we all loved to criticize. At the beginning of the game you could see that he wanted to win this game, and wanted to dominate. He started off 4-5 from the field, but then went 0-13 from the field after that if I remember correctly. Everything fell apart for the Lakers in that third quarter, and he didn't do anything positive to help out the team. The team is just so dysfunctional right now, I know Bryant can't do everything himself, but he's gotta take better shots than that. It goes back to Doc Rivers' philosophy, trust your teammates. The offense is fine IMO, they just need to settle down and let Gasol work down low. The stats don't lie, when Kobe shoots under 20 or so shots a game, they have a winning record. Get Pau established early and control the momentum of the game. It's easier said than done, but really, what's the difference between this years squad and the championship team from a year ago? It's just a matter of finding their rhythm offensively. And I couldn't believe Fisher actually walked all the way to the halfcourt line just to confront Richard Jefferson... What a frustrating night for the Lakers.

I had to bump this thread after watching the Lakers-Spurs game tonight. My God, they (Spurs commentators) have to be one of the worst in the league. They literally have an orgasm after each point scored by the Spurs. They were also calling Odom, Mr. Kardashian throughout the entire game.. It's funny and all, but they're acting as if Tony Parker wasn't married to Eva Langoria not too long ago.
-
Yeah the Pro Bowl is a complete joke, I wouldn't get too upset over it.
-
That was terrible, it's amazing how difficult it is for the Lakers to score against good defensive teams. They had no rhythm at all the entire game, Kobe was just jacking up shots, and Pau did not assert himself at all in the paint. The Spurs defense was amazing, their role players played excellent, and DeJuan Blair literally manhandled Gasol in the post.

He is back, just not starting yet. He's playing limited minutes right now. Today he looked great, played with confidence and looked like he had his legs under him. The problem is, we have no one who can step up and take charge of the game. Wall is too rusty right now to be our closer, and Blatche is just an idiot with the ball in his hands in the clutch. The main problem John is having right now is trying to control the tempo of the game, I always see him driving uncontrollably, trying to draw fouls, and overall is just trying to do too much with the ball. He needs to slow it down. Another tough loss on the road.

Let's see how we play with Shard, Blatche, and McGee all starting. Hopefully John has a good game.

Completely agree with you here, but it's hard to get back to your prime, a lot of musicians want to try out new things. Nas did the same with Distant Relatives, as did Kanye with 808's. That's why you see a lot of rappers at the top of their game when they first start out. I wouldn't say that's always the case, but just look at guys like Kanye and Nas who had great debut albums. Hell, even a guy like Kid Cudi's best work came with his first ever mixtape (at least in my opinion).

LeBron's opinion concerning contraction

But you're using Big L, one of the greatest ever, as a measuring stick for how good Wayne is. Everyone is so divided about him. People either think he is the best rapper alive or no talent clown who is ruining hip hop. Carter III was either a classic album or a weed plate. I feel I am someone who is in the middle of the discussion. Carter III was disappointing and Lil Wayne is far from being the best rapper alive. But on the other hand he is a talented rapper, who is entertaining and who I feel loves music. While Carter III was disappointing it was still a very good album and Carter 1 and 2 were good albums as well. He is a good rapper who I would rate ahead of a guy like T.I but is still over hyped if that makes sense. Thing about this guy is the fact he has really good high's and really really bad lows. Like the whole rock album thing. Basically at a point in his career where he'll do anything to be at the top. Even if it means selling his soul.
-
But...there's no point in bringing up Big L at all.. We all know how great he is, there aren't many rappers out there (or ever) that are as good as him. It seems like you are comparing him to Weezy, and I don't understand why.
-
Yeah the Wayne hate is pretty ridiculous. I love his work from Carter II and some of his older stuff.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL6moxtdaWM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLHEjqIsUMY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyEtmfQCxbY I don't like some of his recent stuff, but you gotta respect what he did earlier in his career.

Got this off of the Bulls forum over at RealGM: http://www.rumorpress.net/ Not sure how reliable the link is, but it would be great if they managed to get OJ. I think he's a better fit than Stephen Jackson simply because he can come in and make an impact right away and would be a long term solution for them at SG.

Well, we managed to play hard, but the Spurs are just too good for us. John Wall isn't ready to play IMO, he's trying to shake the rust off, but he didn't look as explosive out there. Nick Young was getting harassed by the Spurs D, he didn't get many good looks at the basket. The good news is that Shard actually had a good game.
