  1. Read more NBA news and insight: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=18169#ixzz188uqpfRy Good or bad for Evan Turner and the rest of the organization moving forward?
  2. Lol, gotta love how he's always trigger happy. Difference between his game from last year and this year is his shot selection. But he's still not starting material.
  3. Seraphin and Booker looking very active so far, our defense is playing great. Let's see if we can keep it up.
  4. Terrible move for LA, I know Kupchak can get more (or at least a better big) for Sasha and Luke in a deal together. All they get out of this is Joe Smith... And I understand that getting under the luxury tax is a big deal, and that draft picks don't matter a whole lot to championship contenders, but it seems like they could have gotten much more out of this deal. They could have probably gotten a 2nd rounder from New Jersey if they wanted, they do a great job late in the draft as it is. Great move for New Jersey and Houston.
  5. Did they run the ball at all in overtime?
  6. Can't believe he turned down the Yankees offer. Phillies rotation is just nasty now.
  7. Andre Johnson is just a monster. He just beasted on the Ravens that whole drive.
  8. I'm just getting word that Hamed Haddadi proposed a toast during the party stating that he's going to take his talents to South Beach to form the big 4. http://www.cantstopthebleeding.com/img/1254888986-84191189_10.jpg
  9. Never was a huge fan of dark skins, but I think a skin selector would be cool if we could get some of the previous skins RD has made for OTR (if he still has them saved).
  10. Wade just dominated that second quarter with 20 points.
  11. Good find Erick. What's impressive to me is that the Bulls are down two points with a few seconds left and the ball. He dribbles the length of the court, blows by Byron Scott and hits a 10-14 foot runner where Vlade Divac gets so close to blocking the shot that he touches the base of Jordan's hand. But he hit the shot. Without Pippen, who fouled out in the 4th quarter, Michael Jordan leads the Bulls to a huge win over the Lakers. The series is never the same. After that Jordan and Pippen basically pound LA into submission. You can see the differences in coaching between the two squads. The amount of adjustments Phil made with the defensive rotations/assignments were great, and that switch off they had with Jordan and Levingston on Magic and Worthy was genius. If Jordan misses that shot, they would have had to beat LA like they did from then on just to GET to game 6 in Chicago. Oh yeah, and that play at 10:50 was amazing.
  12. Yup, just saw it on twitter. His streak ends at 297 games.

  14. When he first entered the league, there was a ton of hype surrounding him, many thought he would turn into a very good NBA PG due to his size, scoring ability, and willingness to play defense. He blew his opportunity when Conley was playing sub par, and he showed terrible instincts in the summer league. He still hasn't figured out the NBA game yet, he doesn't understand how to attack the basket consistently, if he can commit himself more to the PG role and get himself on a team with a good coach and a team where they can fully utilize his talents, he will revitalize his career. IMO, the best fit for him is in Chicago. They can give up Charlotte's first rounder and James Johnson for OJ. He'd flourish with the Bulls, and the playing time JJ would get in Memphis would be big for him. They'd also be getting a potentially high draft pick out of the deal and would save them money which would serve them well seeing as how they have Randolph and Gasol looking for extensions after this season. Or at the very least, they can sign one of those two bigs and go after someone else in FA.
  15. McGee is terrible on rotations, still has a pretty low IQ, and doesn't always play consistently with effort. He should not even be mentioned in this thread.
  16. Gladiator: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge_WEirzSYY ^^ I know it's a scene but almost every line that Wahlberg says is gold. Fight Club: Snatch: I got a lot more but that's all I'll post for now.
  17. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2010/12/avery-johnson-kobe-bryant-on-par-with-michael-jordan/ I don't want to turn this into a Kobe vs. MJ debate, but just thought I post it anyway...
  18. That's true, but I don't think we've ever seen their defense as good as it has been. I personally don't see them beating LA because their offense stalls way too often, but if LA were to face a team like OKC or NOH in the first round, San Antonio in the second round, and Dallas in the third, that's a significantly tougher road that what they've faced in previous seasons. I'm not particularly sure they can beat all three of them in a row. Dallas also plays great zone defense, something LA struggled with against the Suns last year in the playoffs. They also have the ability to control the glass against virtually any team in the league on a given night.
  19. I think spacing the floor with three point shooters would be the least of their worries. They need a slasher, someone who can penetrate in the lanes which leads to kick outs or dump off passes to Howard in the paint. - Kapono - Redick - Lewis - Pietrus - Richardson - Williams - Duhon All are capable three point shooters. Just because they lose one three point shooter in Carter (an inconsistent one at that) and receive a slasher doesn't mean spacing the floor will be a huge issue. Let's not forget, Iguodala is a much, much better defender than Vince is. Oh yeah, and I also believe Iguodala is a more reliable threat in the clutch than Carter is. One of the biggest knocks on this current Magic team is their inability to get it done when it matters the most. Nelson always seems to disappear, Howard isn't a consistent enough scorer to get it done himself, and Lewis and Carter constantly go on shooting slumps and decide to jack up threes regardless. Iguodala can put it on the floor, drive in, or pull up for a midrange jumper, and has hit clutch shots before.
  20. So you rather have your franchise player leave without any warning than give your team a chance to actually receive some valuable assets in return? Let's also keep in mind that the media will normally find ways to bring trade demands to the public. It's pretty easy to figure out when a player wants out.
  21. This situation isn't like the Heat one this past season because we have no idea what the CBA will look like. Assuming the Knicks pick up their 2011-12 options on Gallinari ($4.19M), Randolph ($2.91M), Walker ($916K), and Douglas ($1.15M) this summer, they are looking at having $43 million committed to eight guys. Exactly how would Melo and CP3 fit into all this?
  22. Just because players would like to team up with other stars, it doesn't mean it will be feasible. What happened this summer with Pat Riley and Miami was the perfect storm. It doesn't happen if the cap doesn't play out the way it did.
