  2. Personally I don't think Carter should get inducted into the Hall of Fame mainly because he hasn't done anything Hall worthy in his career. He's only made All NBA twice (2nd and 3rd team respectively), he's never been higher than 10th in the MVP voting (and that's only happened once and it was awhile ago), he's never led the league in scoring or any other statistical category, never been on a 50 win team until he got to Orlando, and he's never been a factor on a very good team (none of those things are really likely to change). On top of that for about two and a half years he quit on his team quite publically. Something to think about here, induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame is determined by NBA writers and commentators, the same group of guys who haven't voted him on an All NBA team since 2001. I'd say unless he does something drastic in the next couple of years, his chances of getting into the Basketball Hall of Fame are a lot dimmer than people think. He had a number of highlight dunks but in the grand scheme of things that did nothing to change basketball.
  3. This might be the least exciting championship game I've seen in any sport.
  4. Kemba struggled in the SDSU game as well, but started to get in rhythm when he got in the lane and got easy transition buckets. That's what they need to do.
  5. Bucks need to ship him out, he's overrated and definitely not worth building your team around. He's the second coming of Gilbert Arenas...except not as talented.
  6. I'd be happy with any of the following as a Skins fan: 1. Robert Quinn- The thought of having Orakpo, Landry, and Quinn on defense would be great and would bring our defense back to respectability. 2. Julio Jones- We need playmakers on offense, our receiving corps is terrible, Moss might be on his way out. 3. Prince Amukamara- We always need help in the secondary, and although it isn't a huge need for us, he's a player I see being a star in this league for a long time. Those are the three I'm really targeting now. I've been reading a lot about the QB's, and I'm becoming less and less excited about drafting one of them. If AJ Green, Patrick Peterson, Von Miller fall to us, then by all means, draft them.
  7. In March he averaged nearly 17PPG on 50/30/85% shooting in only 30 mins off the bench. With Jeff Green out of the picture, he has elevated his play, and has made OKC legitimate contenders in the west. What's his potential? Do you see him playing at an All Star level if he ends up being the starter down the road?

  9. Yeah you can't argue against experience, and it's pretty evident that it plays a role in college basketball (to an extent). We'll see what happens, should be a great game.
  10. Because UConn plays excellent defense. Brandon Knight shot 6-23 from the field, including 3-11 from the field, Kentucky did everything to get him involved....took him off screens, we saw him pull up for some shots, but couldn't find any consistency. Not to mention, Kemba played some good defense on Saturday.
  11. Butler has the guards to prevent Kemba from having a dominant impact on the game, but I don't expect them to keep pace with the Huskies offense. Lamb has played terrific so far, and will be tough to stop. If Matt Howard keeps jacking up three's like he did against VCU, it's going to lead to more fastbreak opportunities for Kemba, which will eventually open up his game. And I don't expect Mack from shooting as well as he did against VCU, I just don't see it happening.
  12. Another great performance by JaVale, Blatche and Jordan Crawford...it took Dray about 76 games to finally show up. Wall turned the ball over far too many times, but he was great defensively.
  13. Does it effect their development at all? The majority of the top draft picks end up on losing teams for the first year or two of their career, but there's always that "lucky" player that ends up in a good position ala Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan, Rajon Rondo, etc. Do these aforementioned players have a leg up on the competition by playing on these playoff bound teams, or does it not matter at all when it comes to their development and potential? I remember Gilbert Arenas talking about John Wall's situation in DC after he was traded.. Is there any legitimacy regarding Gilbert's point? Will rookies develop bad habits if he's playing with inferior talent, or is it something the average fan shouldn't worry about?
  14. Shelvin Mack was hot from three, VCU didn't get to the line much, two most important reasons why Butler won.
  15. This game has been amazing to watch. Both teams are so evenly matched.
  16. Solid first half for both teams. Butler is killing VCU on the glass, VCU also needs to watch out for fouls. Can't get over the limit early in the half.
  17. 3 three's to start off the game for VCU, nice.
  18. LET'S GO VCU! Would be incredible to see them win it all.

  20. Far from awesome, if anything we have a solid core with Wall, Crawford, Booker, possibly Young and McGee. I still do not support keeping Blatche past this year. Because Washington would not give up Kirk Hinrich without getting Jordan in return. Had he stayed another year at Xavier, he would be a lottery pick in this year's draft. I've watched every game Nick Young has played in since entering the league, and I can honestly say he would never be able to perform at the level Jordan played at last night. He showed maturity and the willingness to be unselfish for the betterment of the team. He played a completely different role from the previous games as a starter, and that speaks volumes towards his potential. Crawford shows some upside on the defensive end as well, and is overall the better guard. I fully support him being the starter along with Wall in 2012. But all of it depends on how much Nick asks for in the offseason, if we get him cheap, he's likely to remain the starter. Either way the way we were constructed, we would have been one of those marginal teams like Atlanta, good enough to perennially lose in the 2nd round. The rebuild of this team has been amazing, I truly believe the gun-gate saved this franchise, as it forced us to demolish the tragically flawed roster. Big props to Ted Leonsis, he sent the message to Ernie to rebuild properly, and Ernie has reacted by stockpiling on young talent.
