  1. I don't see it as a huge problem. The finger injury is on his off-hand, not his shooting hand and Flip Saunders stated that if he would be able to play in a game if he needed to. At least the medical staff is stating that the finger will linger throughout the season, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal. Arenas would still [expletive] on the Raptors anyday though.
  2. Yeah I have....on a forum called OTR.
  3. The concept sounds nice, but there would probably be a lot of problems with it initially when it comes out.
  4. Just because he's been locked up for 2 years doesn't mean he forgot how to run. I'm pretty sure he got to workout in prison and yeah that's his correct speed rating in madden 10.

  9. 2008 Playoffs Game 6: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Washington Wizards. That series was crazy overall but in person was insane. December 2007: Raptors @ Wizards, Earl Monroe's jersey gets retired March 2007: Raptors @ Wizards, Michael Ruffin heaves the ball up to the air... Jan 2009: Bulls @ Wizards: Obama attended the game And some others I forget.
  10. By next season if Haywood resigns with another team. McGee is definitely not ready to take on the starting center position anytime soon. He's still easily fatigued, he would get wrecked by the dominating centers in the league and he doesn't have any go to post moves on the offense like Haywood does. But then again he's only 21.
  11. Etan Thomas was traded to the Timberwolves in the trade for Miller and Foye, lol.
  12. McGee, I just got his autograph but he sounded nice. Roger Mason was a class-act. I only had a quick conversation with him as he was signing my jersey, but he was humble and real nice. Damn shame he left.
  13. Are they the same as canker sores where they develop in your gum area in the mouth, around the lip? Those hurt like [expletive] and I don't even know how to cure them. I usually just wait for them to pass away, which takes at least a week.
  14. Caron Butler Brendan Haywood Etan Thomas Juan Dixon Javale McGee Jeff Green Brian Pothier - Washington Caps Roger Mason Yi Jianlian Brooks Robinson - Orioles Hall of Famer Ryan Church Deshawn Stevenson Darius Songalia Andray Blatche Oh, I went on a PTI tour to meet Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon and got to watch tape the PTI show. I also met Tony Reali that same day where he showed us the Around the Horn set. It's pretty neat. Some others, I forget.
  15. The Warriors. Supposedly they're making a remake in 2010 or 2011, but this time with street gangs in L.A. But the original was amazing, so I hope they make something just as good as the first.
  16. Obviously you've never seen Gilbert Arenas play.....or Caron Butler and Nick Young(work in progress) for that matter. What are you talking about? Arenas has played with Butler and Jamison for 4 seasons now and Arenas' style of play has never been a problem for Butler or Jamison. If anything, Butler and Jamison are a lot better since they can shoot the 3 or drive to the rim off of Arenas' penetration and dish. The three of them together are almost unstoppable offensively and they only spread the defense out. Chemistry is not a problem whatsoever. People tend to forget that the Wizards were first in the East for a little while in the 06-07 season when Gil dropping 50+ point games and buzzer beaters like it was nothing in December of 06 and January of 07. Matter fact, Eddie Jordan was named head coach of the Eastern Conference all-star team because they were first, but then injuries hit them. Jamison went down with a knee injury for a while, you guys know what happened to Gilbert and Butler was injured for the rest of the season because he hit his hand hard on the backboard going for the block. Since then, the Wizards have never really had a chance where they had a full season with their roster healthy. Plus with those injuries, it's only given more experience and playing time for guys like Dominic McGuire, Nick Young and Andray Blatche whose improved under gametime situations and they can really provide spark off the bench. Throw in proven veteran Mike Miller and the young Randy Foye and you EASILY have a top 4 seed. The real question for the Wizards is whether or not they can play defense, at least when it really counts. That's been their problem every year and they can end up finishing on top of the Eastern Conference, but they won't get past the first round of the playoffs if they can't learn to play good, consistent defense. That's their real concern. Hopefully Flip Saunders will find a way to fix it.
  17. Maybe not more than the MLE, but there's definitely other teams that are looking at Gortat that would easily match and outbid the Wizards for his contract.
  18. I wouldn't mind using the MLE on either of them, but I don't see neither Gortat or Gooden for as low as the MLE, especially Gortat and that's pretty much all the Wizards have to spend. I see them using their veteran's minimum on someone like Antonio McDyess. Although I wouldn't mind Varejao.
  19. If the Wizards are going to go out and sign a big man, then it will probably be for the veteran's minimum and no more than that. Abe's a pretty cheap owner and won't go over the tax, even adding a piece to a championship contender. Antonio McDyess is one of the top targets for the Wizards. His salary is less than a million, he's played under Flip Saunders for years and he can really help the Wizards on the defensive and rebounding end. Ernie may also try to package Mike James' expiring contract and a future pick to bring in a big man off the bench.
  20. Personally, I think it's dumb as hell to post on OTR while you're drunk. You don't get anything done misspelling words, lol. I don't know about the rest of the you, but I think it's lot better and funner to have conversations when I'm smacked. You think of the craziest things, hah. So post here when you're high.
  21. Yeah, drafting Rubio meant drafting a hassle in terms of the buyout, his desires and where he wants to play. Yi Jianlian had the same issue a couple of years ago, but he was only picky about where he wanted to play. Whoever's got Rubio is going to have to deal with the 6 million dollar buyout and then wonder if he can play up to his expectations for that matter. If the Knicks can trade for him and sign LeBron next season, the Knicks would be set for at least the next decade.
  22. I think the Cavs made the best trade here. Even though Shaq is old and not as efficient, he's shown that he can still be a dominant center and that was really the only thing the Cavs didn't have going up against Orlando. For those that think Shaq will only become a problem for LeBron during the game, remember that they have 82 games in the season to work with each other and figure out a way to become unstoppable. Shaq is a lot wiser than to create problems and issues and LeBron is mature not to do the same. Plus with Shaq's expiring contract, that only gives the Cavs more money to keep LeBron in Cleveland, so it's a great deal for this season and the off-season.
  23. As long as Stevenson's back is healed and 100 percent ready to go for the season, then I would start him at Shooting Guard. He's the only true defender the Wizards have and he has a lot more experience playing with the Trio, which is when he is most effective by the way. He wasn't able to carry the load for the depleted roster last year, so his performance declined but when everybody is healthy, it takes off a lot of pressure and attention off of him while he can nail a three pointer every now and then when needed to. With a player like Mike Miller, I think it would be smarter to keep him on the bench. Like Real Deal said, you need scoring off the bench and Miller's proven he's capable to do that, winning the 6th man of the year award a couple of years ago. I don't think that would be an issue of distributing it evenly. Arenas, Butler and Jamison are probably the most unselfish trio and they know they play best together when they share the ball evenly. Miller's stated during the press conference that numbers don't even matter for him anymore and that he's focused on getting advancing this team deep in the playoffs.
