I think they should have just conceded LBJ wasn't going there and rebuilt properly... the Knicks fans are used to losing and a team led by Amare won't be much more than a 1st round and done.... worse than this they should have saved their cap from this year for next year for guys who are really supposedly interested in joining (TP and Melo). LBJ going there was a cool idea, but did anyone really think it was going to happen? I think Walsch did a pretty bad job clearing salaries, he paid 2 potential lottos and Jordan Hill (another lotto pick) to the Rockets to take a manageable contract. Meanwhile the Bulls were dumping contracts left and right no problem. The Knicks are better off now but I don't think they have done a good job by any means. I'm not a Knick hater, in fact I don't 'hate' any teams, just don't expect me to applaud an effort that was pretty sad in my opinion.

Yeah but getting Iggy and Boozer is half of what getting LBJ/Wade and Bosh would have been, that would have been titles, this is ECF aspirations at most.... it isn't bad and there is nothing wrong with working towards something, but unless Rose becomes the best PG in the league and Iggy can hit 3's consistently the Bulls will never break through the glass ceiling of the Magic/Heat level, and Celtics as well for now. Rose-Korver-Iggy-Boozer-Noah is a pretty sick starting 5 though, in a typical off-season that is a major turnaround, but this year it is just meh.

Lol another lateral move for the 76ers, would be a nice upgrade for the Bulls but it still sucks they struck out in FA.

I'm not mad, I just find it funny they spent 2 years gutting their roster and practically selling their soul for a shot at LBJ and co. and they come away with Amare. They might not even be a playoff team the next 2 years and they don't have their picks.... call me a hater because I think their management is one of the worst in the league.

Amazing for Wolves, if it doesn't work out who gives a [expletive] it is a 2nd rounder... a [expletive]ty rebuilding team like Minnesota is perfect for Beasley... I don't know if he plays the 3 now though unless they move one of those bigs (I have always believed Beasley is a 3 anyways).

Bulls To Sign Kyle Korver: 3 Years, $15M
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
Damn he got a lot more than I expected, he would have been a perfect pickup for Miami. -
Have the details on the contracts been released yet? I want to know if they have the cap to offer Mike Miller that contract, or if the deals are 3 years or 5.

I think we are going to be an exciting team to watch next year, our ball movement is going to be like it was in 07 and our offense will be more balanced, I want us to win 15 games and get a top 3 pick but I realize BC/MLSE won't allow that, but we are going to be an exciting team... if Demar and Sonny can start sinking long range jumpers relatively consistently that would be beast. Jarret Jack is going to have an awesome year too.

Gilbert - "LeBron Quit"
Check my Stats replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Cavaliers failed LBJ, he had the right to do this... do he go about it the right way embarrassing them on national television? No of course not, but he DID have the right to leave, he spent probably the 7 best years of his NBA career there and never once played with another all-star, he won 2 MVP's and had many 50+ win seasons... I don't really blame them for hating the guy but I also don't blame LBJ for wanting to leave.... he just kind of did it in a cowardly way which sucks. -
Spurs Re-Sign Matt Bonner To 4 Year Deal
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in San Antonio Spurs Team Forum
It is probably like a 4 year 12 million dollar deal or something, not a bad price for a sharpshooting big man.... happy for him though. -
He had the right to leave, he did it the wrong way, but the Cavaliers failed for 7 years to put a championship caliber team around LBJ, there was no upside... he did take the easy way out goign to Miami but you cannot blame if he had chose Chicago/NJ or even NY with Amare and some solid young guys in Gallo/Chandler there as well. I think this decision really just represents where the NBA is now, everyone is friends, there is no competition.... guys like LBJ and Wade should be going toe to toe in the ECF, not alongside one another, there is just no pride and competition anymore... the only guy that really has the fire these days is Kobe.
-
They just have unlimited options offensively right now it isn't even fair, Wade could guard 1's while LBJ plays the 1 and guards the SG, or LBJ could play PG offensively while Chalmers (good defensively I believe?) guards the 1's. I don't think perimeter defense is something the Heat really need to concern with with Wade and LBJ being two of the best in the league, it is their post defense and lane intimidation that is a HUGE concern.
-
I will definitely be at the first game vs the Heat booing the [expletive] out of Bosh everytime he touches it, even though I'm not mad at him (similar to VC) the atmosphere will be funny/awesome. Anyways, I have a feeling LBJ and Wade might not like Bosh much during the season, he seems more focused on getting noticed on ESPN then getting better (this wasn't the case last couple of years, he made some major improvements)... he is also a ballstopper offensively, Wade and LBJ will make the extra pass but Bosh is prone to high volume turnovers and is more of an isolation scorer... unless he adjusts his game I can see Wade/LBJ getting annoyed at his constant jumpshot, lack of defense and turnovers.

Evan Turner is the new pride of Ohio despite him not even playing on their team lol.

So I just have one question about contracts...
Check my Stats replied to kingfish's topic in General NBA Discussion
Yes. -
[expletive], even Kyle Korver would be perfect and he is probably a realistic option.
-
They don't even need a PG they just need a shooter, Wade can guard the 1's if need be and LBJ can play the 2 if the 3 is a sharpshooter (Mike Miller) this team is so versatile because they have two of the best 3 players in the world.
-
He isn't close to what they need, he is useless to them.... he is nothing more than a big body... they need a Center who can finish inside of 3 feet off a crisp LBJ/Wade pass and can hit the boards, maybe block a shot or two and body up on Dwight... they don't need Shaq and his stupid ego.
-
Meh I find it hard to reserve the title for them next year let alone the next 5 years... Bosh still has a lot to prove and has never played in a big game in his entire career, not even in college or high school. On paper this is probably the best big 3 we'll see, but if one of them gets hurt, [expletive] will hit the fan... they still need some jump shooters, they need to do something with Beasley, they need some solid role players. Offensively there isn't really any issues with this team, it is the other side of the ball I have concerns for them.
