  1. mebe not me ;)

    i still dont know

ill wait a few weeks and check both forums and read about all the complaints then make my decision. it will be like the lebron thing

Definitely play the demos first too. I just have a feeling the learning curve is going to be way to long for Elite where people who play the demo will be like "wow this is way too complicated, I'm going with 2k."

Plus I'd go with 2k regardless just because I'm used to it. From the way the association mode is set up, to the overall base of the gameplay. It's just comfortable to me so I doubt I'll be switching. Plus, the Jordan Challenge sounds like a lot of fun. :D

  2. Elite looks way too complex with the new complete control system and the difficult targeting of jumpshots. 2k is upping the way their game is played but it doesn't sound anywhere near as difficult as Elite, but still manages to sound way better.

I'm assuming all of our OTR members will be getting 2k over Elite. :)

  3. Here's the soundtrack list from 2ksports.com:

  4. Mentality and attitude aren't things that can just change so easily. Blatche has a better chance of developing a deadly 3 point shot than becoming mature. He has stated multiple times that he sees himself as an "underpaid star." Comments like that, along with gestures such as the triple double mishap show that he is, and will be for a long time, a child. Very talented, tons of potential, but that potential doesn't mean anything if he doesn't have the mentality to reach down within himself and find it.

  5. The Heat fans are starting to sound like the Cleveland fans of last year.

    "LEAVE LEBRON ALONE!!!!!"

Yeah seriously lol. Before Lebron left Cleveland you wouldn't see one Heat fan in a thread like this backing him up, but Cleveland fans would be the ones saying "relax guys he's just having a good time." Now it's mostly Cleveland fans hating on him for having a good time and the Heat fans are saying leave him alone.

My my how the tables have turned.

  6. As players progress through The Jordan Challenge, they'll see Jordan himself change, in both face and physical characteristics. His (and all players') uniforms will be period-specific - not just in design but in cut and style. Presentation also will change to reflect the era; graphics and audio will resemble games in the 1980s, early 1990s, or late 1990s.

We went out and got the rights to the actual players from each era and spent a ton of time capturing their signature shots, moves, and tendencies.

They went into painstaking detail to include the old-school arena floors and in some instances the actual arenas

Though you can only play as the Bulls in "The Jordan Challenge" all of the teams it features, like current teams, will be playable in the game's Quick Game, Association, Playoffs, and Season mode.

Wow, now that is awesome. I love how much effort they put into getting the detail as precise as possible.

  7. If Elite 11's graphics (meaning jersey's and the shoes) added with 2k's game play were combined, that would be sick.

Graphics can only go so far with advanced gameplay unfortunately. The reason Live (Elite) always looks good is because the gameplay is basic. 2k graphics aren't terrible, though I will never understand why the jerseys always look like glossy rubber.

  9. Kobe will go down as the greatest of all time when he's done playing.

No, but he could be known as the second or 3rd greatest of all time.

Players are getting faster, stronger, bigger, etc. it would be stupid for someone to say the NBA will never have a player better than Jordan because anything is possible.

That's because the game has changed. No one is saying Jordan is the greatest AND would dominate anyone 1 on 1 today. Today, players weight lift and focus on getting bigger MUCH more than during most of the years of Jordan's career. You didn't need to be muscular and huge to be successful back then, it was more of a finesse game. If Jordan had been playing these days, he would have been in the gym just as much or more than the players of today. Basically, if Jordan were playing today, he would adapt his game to be successful (i.e getting bigger and stronger, how to penetrate consistently strong zone defenses, etc).

Jordan is the greatest of all time because of the way he redefined his game. Players today admit he is still the greatest, and so has Kobe. They admit they use parts of Jordan's game in their own game. Are some players of today more physically talented than Jordan? Maybe. But they are not dominating their generation the way he did.

  10. Wow, that's no fun man.

Haha well it's fun to know I'll never run out of things to do in the game. There's always something more to achieve since there's so many challenges to complete, achievements to unlock, and the legendary cars you get every time you prestige.
