  1. I was reading through the Raptors board on RealGM and came across a thread on there about how a bunch of the posters on RealGM weren't able to vote for DeRozan. In that thread there were a couple of links posted. Here is a facebook page claiming that they would receive a Bad Gateway message when they tried to vote for DeRozan. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&gid=304789876306 Here is a blog on Raptors Digest. http://www.raptorsdigest.com/raptors-fans-in-toronto-cant-vote-nate-barely-edges-derozan/ Now before I get called out for being a "sore loser" () again, I just found this interesting and thought that I would post them. I don't know if it is true, nor do I really care. Sure, I wanted to see DeRozan win being a Raptors fan and all, but neither of them deserved to win anything with th eperformance they put on last night. I don't know if some fans that wanted to vote for Robinson got this message as well. I just thought that it was pretty interesting and decided it was worth mentioning.
  2. Are you being serious? You think that Hickson has the potential to be a multiple time All-Star and consistent 20/9 player? If this trade were to happen the Cavs obviously improve talent wise and on paper, but with that said, I still think that this could be a pretty high risk move for them. They are clearly playing like the best team in the NBA right now and everybody seems to fit in perfectly on this team. Amare could definitely come in and mess with the chemistry, which no matter how talented he may be, would make the Cavs a worse team. I would make the trade if I was Ferry as well, but there is definitely a considerable risk to making this trade if you ask me.

  5. Have fun being a lottery team this season with no lottery pick. Oh wait though, you guys are getting LeBron James and Chris Bosh this summer.
  6. I'm too sore to realize it? I couldn't care less about who won the dunk contest and I haven't cared about it since Jason Richardson was involved in it. I'm done with this though. I'll let you have the dunk contest. Its not like the Knicks have anything else to cheer for this season. PS: Yes, I realize I read your post wrong as well. I was going to edit it but then I noticed you had already posted. My bad on that.
  7. What thread are you reading? Nobody has said that DeRozan "brought it". We acknowledged that he was awful. Shouldn't expect basic reading comprehension from you though. You are a Knicks fan after all.
  8. Please man, stop, you're killing me. You actually think that any dunk in this contest was any good?
  9. And Robinson's dunks were so great. DeRozan had the best dunk in the contest. His 2nd dunk in the 1st round was the only dunk worth mentioning in the entire competition and even that dunk is nothing more than a 45 in a good competition.
  10. Lmao at Robinson winning. I know that DeRozan sucked as well, but Robinson was definitely worse.
  11. [expletive], I would've rathered him get gimmicky as hell with the contest than this garbage that we saw tonight.
  12. The best part of this contest has been Chris Tucker's reactions. The dunks have been awful. Nate wins because of grabbing the pom-poms after the dunk. Watch.
  13. What a god awful dunk contest so far. I almost think it is time to just scrap this competition all together. Heres hoping that the final round will restore some of my faith in this contest because it has been awful ever since the early decade back when J-Rich was winning it.
  14. Now that the Mavs/Wizards trade is official and Butler is off of the market, do you think that the Raptors are going to make a move before the 18th or will they stand pat with their current roster? To be perfectly honest, the only player that I thought the Raptors would possibly acquire was Butler. I didn't expect them to acquire him, but if they were to make a trade for anybody I figured it would be him. I really don't see the Raptors trading for anybody at the deadline now. Butler and Howard were the two options that seemingly made the most sense for Toronto and having them traded for each other really limits what Toronto would be able to do come deadline time.
  15. Wait a minute, Blair puts up like 22/23 (or something) and Evans puts up 26/5 (or something) and Evans wins MVP? I didn't watch the game or anything, but this just reeks of the NBA hype train going to work in favour of Evans.
  16. This thread is a joke. How can you have a "Favourite Atlantic Division Player" thread and not include Rasho Nesterovic? Madness!
  17. 1. LeBron James 2. Carmelo Anthony 3. Kevin Durant 4. Gerald Wallace 5. Paul Pierce. I find it funny how nobody has mentioned Wallace yet and have somebody like Danny Granger ahead of him. EDIT: Just saw the above post. Its actually a shame that it took 5 posts before somebody mentioned Wallace with the way that he has played this season.
  18. The dunk contest is such a joke now. The entire thing is nothing more than one big gimmick. Whatever happened to when the contest was actually about the dunks that took place and not the acting before/after the dunk occured? Obviously I'll be watching it and cheering for DeRozan to win it, but I miss back iin the early parts of this decade when the dunks were the actual focal point of the contest, and not the gimmicks.
  19. Glad that Jacob isn't possessing, or whatever you call it, Sayid's body. I definitely thought that was the direction that they were going in, and I wasn't really looking forward to it. I think that this "poison/darkness" storyline is much more interesting considering we heard about it since season 1 from Rousseau (sp?) and never really knew if she was just crazy or if she was speaking the truth. Defintiely looking forward to seeing how they explain this one because it has been a storyline that we have been waiting for clarification on since season 1. Oh yeah, Rambo Claire is awesome.
  20. I don't really think that you can call that a negative. There is only so many minutes to go around at the 2/3 spots and with how well Wright and Weems have been playing as of late, along wtih DeRozan getting his 20 minutes or so, somebody is going to be the odd man out. With Belinelli's inconsistent and erratic play, he has been the odd man out as of late, just like Weems was at the beginning of the year and like Wright was about a month and a half ago. I am sure that eventually Belinelli will play himself back into the rotation sooner or later, just like I am sure that one of Wright or Weems will probably play theirselves out of the rotation. The bottom line is that Belinelli needs to develop some consistency and I don't think that he will do that if he is being handed minutes. Maybe him falling out of the rotation during stretches of the season will show him that he needs to develop that consistency if he is going to see a set amount of minutes each game. The way I see it, internal competition is hardly ever a bad thing.
  21. Reggie Evans was back up to his old tricks tonight. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v623/veltape/capt9d131962d9844002936fc240a15139c.jpg
  22. Raptors tied the franchise record for the most wins heading into the All-Star break with 29. They had 29 during the 01 season and the 06 season. The 8 game home winning streak matches the longest home winning streak since 2006 and is only one game off of the franchise record of 9 straight wins at home. Raptors also have the 2nd best record in the NBA since December 18th at 18-6. You can't complain at all with how the Raptors have played heading into the All-Star break. The Raptors are starting to cement theirselves as the clear cut 5th best team in the East. They are clearly not on the same level as the top 4 teams in the East but if they continue to play how they have been over the past month and a half, I think it is safe to say that they are undoubtedly better than the bottom tier of the East. Tied franchise high for most wins, like I said above, but this isn't the best winning percentage that they have ever had going into the All-Star break. I the best winning percentage they have had was back in 01 when they went 29-21. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was their record.
