Milwaukee really surprised me last night. Jennings was dishin.

Kind of curious to see how we actually use our rookies this year. Also want to see how Jennings has improved (or hasn't) from last season. I heard that Larry Sanders has been the most improved since last season which is encouraging.

I still call it OTR and probably will for as long as I come here.

Don't suck out of a straw for awhile after. Biggest mistake ever. I got dry sockets because of it and they hurt like hell.

Since there seems to be such a big gap between the "veteran" posters here and the new members that come and go here's an idea: hide user post counts in threads Everyone will then appear to be on a level playing field. In reality, post count means absolutely nothing. If you want, you could still have them appear on member profiles, but on the actual posts it's not really necessary. I think that it might help new members feel more at home and not so far behind and out of the loop.

I think at some point we almost have to sacrifice being "the best/most knowledgable basketball forum" and try to get new members. 1) Us being the "best" or "most knowledgable" is a self-given title. We may or may not be... who knows. 2) While new members might not be as knowledgable at first, we can easily help them out and teach them a thing or two with time. We can't just expect new members to come in here with great basketball knowledge all the time. Sometimes they'll need to be shown the ropes a bit. So, in my opinion, we need to start recruiting members. I'd like to be able to come on here and have 50 actual posters online talking basketball. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon (if ever).

I don't think we'll trade Jennings for a couple of reasons. 1) About a month ago he said he'd be open to an extension with Milwaukee. I don't think he's serious about it. It's probably just him and his agent trying to raise his value a bit. If no one else bites for him though he knows Milwaukee will overpay for him like they always do. Once they do that he could demand his trade then. 2) The Bucks never trade pieces at the deadline. They always think they're competing and they're happy with the 8th seed and a first round bounce. As long as the Bucks are in somewhat decent shape to make the playoffs in some fashion, Jennings will not be moved. I'm not that high on Henson either. We have a logjam at the forward position now and he doesn't seem to be much different than the others we have. Hopefully he proves me wrong though.

Maybe Smitty doesn't want to be an admin? I don't know... I just remember him a couple months ago saying he was pretty much done with OTR/DH. Maybe he changed his mind since then... who knows.
