  1. Rumors are also circulating that Dwight maybe going to the Houston Rockets for draft picks and expirings. (Dalambert/Martin) Recently the Wolves made a trade with the Rockets to give them the 18th pick... Could be part of a bigger trade to land Dwight Howard?
  2. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/19417086/orlando-magic-gm-rob-hennigan-cleans-house-hires-new-assistant-gm Article is basically saying we've pretty much fired most of our front office, all the scouts have been dropped, Adonal Foyle has been dropped, our assistant GM has been dropped and we've just hired the Detroit Pistons executive Scott Perry. What does this mean? Dwight's next or are we catering for Dwight. Draft night should make things a lot more clearer.
  3. hope you dont mind me posting the same type of topics as i do on my own place. just thought id help get that forum active cause you guys are basically starting off fresh..

loving the new domain name too. hope otr quickly turns back into what it used to be. this place needs to stay open.

  4. Couldn't agree with you more, as I was saying these guys are really our only two defenders. We're going to be next to horrible defensively if we don't resign. I think it showed last season how much we need that lock down defender, since Courtney Lee, Pietrus and Barnes have left we've been hurting. We were saying on another forum that he's probably ready to start next season because I'm doubful that Hedo Turkoglu is going to be nearly as affective without Stan Van Gundy. I think it's about time we give him a chance and hand over the reigns.
  5. What do you think about this? I personally think he's our best defender outside of Dwight Howard. He didn't get much opportunity because he lacks a consistent perimeter game. But with a new coach things could change, I see him with a much bigger role. I hope he re-signs.
  6. Yep, I think they released the news today that he's the guy. I'm looking forward to a fresh new approach to the franchise. I'm also looking forward to how he's gonna approach the whole Dwight Howard situation. That Thunder team has a great track record when it comes to drafting I hope he brings some of that aboard. Next stop Brian Shaw.
  7. Misread it, yeah I agree with you. But if you're banking on security you've definitely got more chance of having a stable job at the place you just signed opposed to the Magic right now.
  8. Security of having a stable job, not being the guy who's going to have to up and relocate all of a sudden. He's mentioned it in a few interviews. I'm almost certain he's gonna test the market because of this. He's got the potential to be 6th man of the year, he obviously didn't make the transition to the 1. No point trying to make better of what's not going to happen IMO.
  9. He's been stressing how much he wants security though, he doesn't wanna pick up his player option and then be the one who has to leave because of a trade. I remember reading an interview during the season. It's probably a likely scenario if he's gonna resign too only because we're gonna be pushing hard for a big trade. I don't know... It's a smart financial decision to stay, but I'd imagine he'd be super annoyed as well as his friends and family if he suddenly had to up and leave across the country.
  10. http://www.nba.com/magic/news/denton-nelsons-decision-delayed I hope he doesn't stay and I sure as hell hope the Magic aren't stupid enough to sign him for the almost 10MIL he's asking for.
  11. I honestly thought we would've had a new GM by now already, they're taking their sweet time. Doing a great job in frustrating their fans. I don't know who I want more. I don't think they're really prizing experience, past scenarios etc. Whoever has the best plan for the franchise is going to get the spot. I wish we could get a little more insight on what the discussions like. It's been pretty boring in the Magic the last few weeks.
  12. Hypothetically if it did happen, I'd welcome it. Only if Dwight's guaranteed to walk. I wish the guy would just make a clear cut decision.
  13. I could go through history and post the few that I didn't get to see live but I think that'd be cheating. The most memorable moment would have to be the NBA finals, even though it's also one of my favorite/least favorite moments (don't know how that makes sense, you be the judge).
  14. I'm still hating the decision to let go of Stan, he's one of the more underrated coaches in the league. The firing of SVG is only going to hurt more if Dwight eventually walks. How I'd kill for a Sloan or Jackson, don't think it's going to work. I'd be willing to give Ewing a shot just because he would probably know how to handle a superstar big man.
  15. Some teams going to chuck a ridiculous amount of money at him this off season, definitely played well this year. But I think Dwight's got a huge part in it, he was basically invisible in Dwight Howard's absence. I personally don't think he's coming back to the Magic because we're not going to give him in the money he wants.
  16. Somewhat glad he wasn't interested although I think he could do some pretty good things with us because he knows how to win and knows what it's like to be a superstar center in the NBA; so he could've helped Dwight. There's not really much news surrounding a new GM nowdays, but I hope a decisions made before draft night. I have a feeling it's going to be a long off season.
  17. Year You Became a Fan: Early 2000's Why You Became a Fan: Initially a T-Mac fan moved onto being an Orlando fan. Favorite Magic Player, All-Time: Tracy McGrady, Shaq, Dwight, Courtney Lee. Favorite Magic Coach, All-Time: Stan Van Gundy Favorite Magic Moment: Going to the NBA Finals. Might aswell add the least favorite moment too: Losing the NBA finals. Amount of Magic Games Attended: Somewhat hard when you're in Australia.
  18. Just browsing around the forums, great to see that you didn't let go of the site Real Deal. Guys have to appreciate all the effort and time he's put into this site. Nice domain name too, surely its gonna get you a few more clicks. Definitely has some relevance.
  19. It depends really, will we sign a big man to compliment Dwight Howard? Most probably, depending on who that guy is. We've done relatively good this off season. It's not even over yet, it's too early to grade their moves.
  20. Scrap the Brandon Bass rumor, let this happen. Chucky Hayes and Carl Landry will pretty much complete this team. Plus our MLE is in tact!!!
  21. Everyone who isn't European will choose Nike. (unless you're uncool.) 8)
  22. It's pretty obvious he's gone now. We ruined our luxury tax when we signed Vince Carter. Damn shame.
  23. I could see us signing him, he's a great free throw shooter to for a big man. He'll compliment Dwight Howard nicely although he's a little small.
  24. According to CBS sports, this is now official. Ben Gordon signed a contract worth 55 million over 5 years and Charlie Villanueva signed a contract for about 35 million over 5 years also. Just thought I'd mention that.
  25. Yeah I noticed it last week. I'm just doing a backup of all my files. Then backing up my database weekly.
