  1. no flip, you are a wizard now, you'd probabyl suffer a season ending injury if you played obama just because you are part of the wiz org now.
  2. ^^^^6yeah, fisher is a great leader and lockerroom presence, but he's way past his prime imo and should be looking to come off the bench or something. a pg like miller could really bolster the lakers even more than they are now.
  3. john amaechie. epitome of a hustle player. he just loved going after all those balls for all those years.
  4. both were pretty exciting players back in their day. i think marbury was a better pg, but francis was a better player and was my personal favorite. now i wouldn't really want either, but back in the day i'd pick francis, but thats not to say marbury couldn't or wasn't better. just personal preference.
  5. as a homer but with genuine reasons i'd say antawn jamison. the guy averages near 20 ppg and 10 rpg, has a one of a kind skillset for a pf in the league and never gets recognized as a good/great pf in the league. after his career is over, i doubt anyone ever brings him up unless he has won a ring or something. most people say he is crap on defense and push him away, but thats not fair. as a wiz fan i know he is nothing spectacular on defense, but he brins so much else to the court. he is mr. consistent and will get you 20 points every game on decent fg% with an array of post moves(nontraditional ones though), perimeter shots, free throws, and layups. he is often times much skinnier and less stronger than the other teams big men but positions himself in a way to outrebound them every single game. i think he is one of teh best scoring pf's in the game, one of the best rebounding pf's in the game, and one of the most consistent players in the game. he doesn't complain a lot or [expletive] to the ref's like kg or garnett, but he gets it done every night. non homer would probably be jason richardson or gerald wallace.
  6. at one point in time both of them were my favorite players because of how they played, similarities in their game, flashiness, cockiness, and the systems their teams ran. both seem to bring the best out of each other when they play and a few seasons ago it seemed like the baron led warriors and gil led wizards would be high scoring exciting games dominated by each other and it they would always get close to triple double numbers. i think one time in the same game both gil and baron both had triple doubles. iirc correctly baron had like 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, while gil had like 28 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assist(but im not sure though). both are dynamic scorers with incredible handles for the ball, and just make it seem like a playground game out there but not like the and1 type if you know what i mean. both are stocky guards that can get their shot off against any defender and both are good at finishing in the lane. obviously this is a comparison of when they were at their best stages in their career also. i'd take gil just for the fact that i think he has a better jumper than baron although both can get hot and light it up when in the zone.
  7. was never a big fan of joe, and all this crap lately with mef makes me not like him even more. i won't cop.
  8. depends on team needs. put jkidd on that sixers squad that made it to the finals instead of ai and they wouldn't have gotten there imo. jason kidd is clear choice if you have a good coach, other star player on the team and lots of good role players, but ai if you have a team full of scrubs and want them to have a fighting chance of winning games.
  9. Year You Became A Wizards Fan: 00-01 Favorite Wizards Moment: gil dropping 60 on the lakers and 54 on the suns. i loved those moments so much because his career high before that was 48 points, and i wanted to witness the day he got to 50, and went over 50 against two of the best teams in the league and i got to see both live and both caught me by surprise. Favorite Current Wizards Player: Gilbert Arenas, dmac Favorite All-Time Wizards Player: Gilbert Arenas, jahidi "baby shaq" white. Anything Else: minimum 50 wins, minimum 3 all stars, top 4 seed, gil dropping 25 points a game.
  10. if nick young is gone soon, hopefully a team like the hornet can get him.
  11. does viagra count as a performance enhancing drug?
  12. i just don't see how people say odom is more versatile than sheed, and all he really has over him is the ability to dribble good. i mean most big men are horrible with running up and down a floor, but with sheed's hand size, weight and speed i think he could handle teh rock similar to odom if it was asked of him, but he plays more like a big man first than guard, instead of a guard first than big man. sheed is the better shooter defender post player perimeter player has a way better iq imo
  13. lebron james. hate the guy but i'd take him. if wade had a better jumper he might get the vote, but lebron dominates in most other aspects of the game besides probably freethrow shooting. i really like wade as a player though, even though a few seasons ago i hated him almost as much as lebron because he had david stern and ref's wrapped around his finger and got away with so many BS calls. i'd say lebron is more durable than wade, more imposing and threatening, is a better passer, and better slasher and finisher because of his mix of size and speed even though i think wade has more technical ability and finesse around the rim.
  14. as long as the current system of credit is in place, we will never be out of debt.
  15. hate puffy more than any other person in the hip hop industry, but him and mase were everywhere when i was growing up. their songs were never the best but always catchy. they are sort of the godfathers of [expletive]ty mainstream rap, but it was still bearable back then. this and the song/video where they are in las vegas and the hook is like "bad bad bad boy, you make me feel so good" were big hits back in the day.
  16. probably my two favorite nonwizard players right now. i was hoping the genius ernie grunfeld could potentially pluck one of them from their teams this offseason but i doubt that happens now. both are extreme upgrades over blatche, and could fill in that starting spot if jamison ever got hurt or declined quickly. lee seems to be a better offensive player(i know he probably doesn't do it often but i saw him knock down some jumpers and freethrows against us last season(well every player goes off against the wizards lol), and he is an excellent rebounder in terms of boxing out, awareness, and overall hustle. millsap reminds me of blake griffin. millsap was an extremely underrated player before last season and was a big part of why the jazz were so good the past few years in addition to deron and booz. he is a tenacious rebounder, team player, and great defender. you can't go wrong with either on your team, but personally millsap is my favorite out of the two.
  17. wow this thread has made me extremely jealous. you guys make it seem like you have bbq's with the wiz players and all.
  18. i've been a wiz fan since 01 but i really started watching us more in depth after the year we first got into the playoffs with gilbert. after larry hughes left, i started watching the wizards more and more. from the beginning of the season i noticed what a dynamic player gilbert was, but it would kill me because for like ten games straight he would have a high scoring game like 25 or more points and then follow it up with a mediocre 16 point game and then a high scoring game the next. this intrigued me and made me want to follow him more. he really reminded me of baron davis in body type, and overall game but as a better shooter. in my first season really watching gilbert what really made me a fan of his was that he was fearless. he's considered a great shooter now, but about 4 seasons ago shooting jumpers was put on the backburner. he would get into the lane all game long and just amaze me at how he weaved around defenders, took contact from big men, hung in the air, and still converted the shot. most players just like to slash into the land and get the foul called and fling up a luck shot, but it seemed like gilbert loved getting the contact and then proving he could finish the difficult shot with ease. also gilbert is my favorite because of how down to earh he is with the fans, how much he loves the game, his willingness to not always give the generic nba answer in interviews, and his sort of underdog status that he shed a few seasons ago to become known leaguewide as a great player. also, not to mention i think he has the most range out of any player in the nba and is up there with kobe and melo as the best shooters regardless of percentage.
  19. how would you react if you saw this wizards players and got to meet them face to face. *i know nonwizard fans will probably not care about meeting players like haywood, so just keep that in mind already lolz* anyways i've wanted to meet the wiz players for a while now, but i hardly get excited by or taken off guard by many things in life including regular people. inside i'd probably want to run up on gil zero and talk his ear off, but if i ever got to meet him i'd probably just give him a handshake and ask him for an autograph or something. anyways here is the list of players. gil zero- what i said above caron butler- shake his hand, tell him he's better than pierce lol and his jumper is better than melo's. jamison- shake his hand and thank him for all he has done for the wizards. ask him how he ranks himself as a pf. brendan haywood- probably shake his hand and ask him to block shaq and dunk on howard in a future game just to send a message. deshawn stevenson- shake his hand, tell him how much i hate lebron. i just went with the starters but you can add the other players if you like. just for kicks i'll throw in mike james. if i met mike james i'd put on a ski mask and go tanya harding on his knee's so he can never step on a basketball court again and miss open tear drops and chuck up three after threee after three.
  20. wow. i'd pick sheed. if you are going by primes than sheed blows odom out the water. if you are going by right now, then yeah maybe odom could edge him out, but sheed's skillset makes him so valuable to me. among nba fans its known that sheed could have been one of the greatest pf's ever, and in his prime i think he was one of the best in the league. his jumpshot was unguardable, he could play in the post, on the perimeter, and shutdown or halt other teams big men. it doesn't get talked about a lot, but he's a good passer for a big man, and you could count on him mostly every game while odom seems to be a different player sometimes. i don't know odom's field goal percentage or anything like that, but he never seemed like a good shooter to me or consistent scorer. with someone of his dribbling ability, frame, height, weight, and handsize he could be dominant in the post or slashing every night, but isn't. i don't really care that odom can play point forward or anything either, thats why teams have pgs....
  21. this is like balrog vs zangief or ryu lol. even though tyson would have a good chance of being submitted, just his sheer strength, speed, and ability to bob and weave like no other would always keep him in the fight no matter what. it would suck to see mike tyson lose to some no name ufc just because they are trained in a lot of different areas though. but i agree that tyson would probably lose more if he was in the ufc and was strictly a boxer. my question is though wasn't chuck liddel like purely a brawler and he was fairly succesful in teh ufc? from the fights i saw of him he always kept his distance from fighters that were good at takedowns and submissions and would try and knock them out, and if he did get control on teh ground it seemed like he never went for a submission and just pummeled you to the ref stopped the fight.
  22. i got stretch marks from when i went through my growth spurt as a teen. i don't really care about what they look like though. if you want to minimize their apperance just use shea butter and cocoa butter everyday.i don't use either though.
