Chad Ochocinco "Who Kissed the Baby" In '09
fish7718 replied to ChosenOne's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
It used to appear idk what happen url must have changed. It was nothing special it was a list of the starting 26 starting cornerbacks of the teams that play Bengals this year. -
I'm not sure If I'm understanding how this works lol, if it is what I think you're saying it sounds pretty dumb no offense. However maybe I just misunderstood. Do you have a link to any previous leagues run under this system?
-
He'll be considered. 5 all-star appearances is not overly impressive. I mean sure it will mark him as a great player but you need to be one of the greatest ever to make it in the hall of fame. Again I think the lack of winning in his career is really going to hurt him. His resume is more impressive than Jeter but Jeter has 4 rings and might win a 5th this year.

Agree with Ichiro, not so much Helton. Helton one the best fielding first basemen of his era. .995 ops however 2114 hits 324 hrs and no rings. If he can get to 2,500 350-400 hrs I'd say he'd then be borderline. It'd really help him if he could win a ring or a WS MVP for that matter.

Who's the better coach? I'm interested to see peoples take on this.

I agree with your pitchers for the most part. I think you may have just forgot about Hoffman because he's a lock simply for just holding the record. I also think Halladay has proven enough, once Santana hits 150 wins I think he would have proven enough too. When it comes to your hitters I disagree. Personally I feel Jeter still has to hit at least 3,000 hits because he has few homeruns and decent but not staggering ops. I also don't think any of the borderline guys would make it. Rolen is tragic because if he could have just stayed healthy he'd be a lock but he just gassed out. Pudge is definitely a lock. Nothing much comes to mind I'll come back to this thread if I can think of some more guys.

Pujols is tough, there has been a lot of great first baseman. I'd say yes but not by much. Hanley is still a long way off he may not even make the hall of fame. If he continues doing what he's doing he will probably make it but no he will not be the greatest SS to ever play the game. Utley I mean maybe offensively 2B is an evolving position we've never really had this man 2B's in the majors that are so successful offensively and homeruns wise. Right now I definitely have Jeff Kent over him, Utley bit of a better bat, Kent better glove. Catcher is another position we are start to see more and more sucess at however Joe Mauer is also a long way off especially as a catcher, most catchers are judge but their longevity. Honestly just because he plays in the AL and has the DH I'd prolly never give him credit over Johnny Bench or Yogi Berra. A-Rod is in my opinion the greatest all around player to ever play the game besides Babe Ruth so yeah greatest 3B/SS of all time. Lincecum I mean come on the kids pitched 3 years, you remember what happened to Dontrelle Willis? Not to be a dick but It's laughable you have Mauer Hanley Utley and Lincecum becoming the greatest players at their positions of all time. Yes they've had a few great years but in baseball its about getting it done over a career, all 4 of those guys have soooo much more to prove. In the end even if those 4 stay as good as they are or even get a bit better they will not be the greatest at their positions. Edit: You asked where I think they will rank, I'll answer it as best as I can because some of these guys have such a small sample size. Pujols - 1 Hanley - 5-10 A-Rod - 1 Mauer - 5-10 Utley - 5-10 Lincecum - 15-20

Aw you jealous? How was that trolling anyway? I made my counterpoint and I did honestly think you 2 were gay and boyfriends. Sorry if that isn't true I just thought it was. Back to the topic asking such an irrelevant question proves that you sir are trolling but I'll answer it anyway. They are extremely low however if F-mart plays like Ken Griffey Jr. and Jon Niese pitches like Roger Clemens I'd say they are pretty good.
-
I know it is pointless, it wasn't even an argument it was a point I made that your boyfriend took out of context. Maybe if you actually read each posts unbiasedly instead of swooping in and defending your boyfriend right away you'd see I said the same thing you said my second post.

Sad, seems like everyone around has these stories of losing people on this day. I was 10 years old when it happened and I'll always remember knowing what the twin towers where but not knowing what the world trade center was lol. So someone was like a plane hit the WTC and it didn't really hit me until someone else told me the WTC was the twin towers.

I'm mainly thinking the play before the half when it was Holmes vs 2 safties n the free saftey made a dick move and tried to jump an under route and let holmes get an easy TD. If you play cover 2 you need your safties to make sure that [expletive] don't hppen.

SMITTY STOP DRINKIN 40'S DAMNIT!
-
Nay this is gonna destroy health insurence and IMO hurt the economy a lot
-
When they were in cover 2 Roethlisberger picked em apart with pump fakes.
-
NO [expletive]ING WAY?!?!?! WARD FUMBLED OMG THIS GAME WAS OVER!
-
They trust their pass rush too much that they are just trying to jump the routes. They will change it at the half.
-
Tennessee is blowing this [expletive]!
-
Big Bens decision making is suspect tonight. Taking that 15 yard sack earlier taking them out of field goal position and now forcing that pass into there even though the coverage was there. He is trying to do too much he needs to relax and let the game come to him.
-
Polamalu isn't dirty at aswell. He's one of the most praised players in the league. Just because you hit hard and hustle don't mean you are dirty.
-
Damn they don't call him dash for nothing, fastest back in the league?
-
Let's goooo I'm pumped for this [expletive]! Tennessee competes but Steelers too tough Steelers win a close one 20-17
-
That's the only point I'm trying to make. I've said before I'll say it again. He's a very long shot for the hall of fame. However, he reminds me of pedro martinez. If he can learn to pitch like Pedro, controling his pitches and changing speeds, he will be a hall of famer.

Chargers To Part Ways With Shawne Merriman

IDK that light's out dance is pretty effective. I'm sure if they took a recording of it and made the other team watch they may get intimidated. However they also may start laughing at how dumb it is. -
You're just being arguementative. The fact that you won't concede the point that if a player pitches as well as a hall of famer he will be a hall of famer shows you have to grow up. Yeah if Blake Griffin plays as well as Patrick Ewing or Matthew Stafford plays like Joe Montana they will be in the hall of fame.
