I'm talking about the poster not D Wade...

We've seen a bunch of rookie pitchers come in and dominate and then suck so that'd be my only warning flag as a Yankees fan. As for Montero have questions lol I don't see it. The Yankees shot down the Cliff Lee deal 2 years ago which prolly cost them a WS and then the only other person I felt the Yankees were actually considering trading Montero for was Felix Hernandez who is arguably the best pitcher in baseball so nah I think the Yankees loved Montero...

lol what? no it didn't the Heat were down like 8 there and Miami had no momentum lol typical flash take 1 call and blow it out of proportion.

CC has a lot of miles on that arm, don't think he will be around for a decade...maybe half a decade..

Now that I'm thinking about it I really am starting to dislike this trade for the Yankees, and it's got nothing to do with how good the team is. Here you got this top 5, top 3 prospect in Jesus Montero and the Yankees have been shooting down trades left and right with his name in it. Seems like the Yankees are going to get what back to made them great in the 90's and that's bringing up some great guys through the farm and bam they trade him out of nowhere for, don't get me wrong another great prospect, but for a pitching prospects. Pitching prospects are so risky even after they have 1 or 2 years under their belt. Just annoys me that it finally looked like the Yankees were doing the right thing with one of their guys and traded him...still it improves the team...

Counting on Nova to be a #2 and Garcia to be a #3 is very silly to me. They both had good years last year but both are very risky. Nova had a 1.33 WHIP last year and the way pitchers are I wouldn't be surprised to see him fall of and I'd be shocked if Jamie Garcia has anywhere near the type of success he had last season. Also what if pitchers go down with injuries? If Sabathia is out for an extended period of time that rotation is shot. The Yankees strength is that line up. It got beat by a dominant pitching staff in the post season last year but you can still make the argument the Yankees have the strongest line up in MLB. I see no reason to waste Montero who is 21 and unproven in the DH slot when you can fill it will a solid hitter and go and add depth to a very weak rotation, imo.I know the Yankees pitched well last year but I just can't seeing those guys repeat what they did.

Of course not MLB playoffs is all about who's hot, kinda stupid but it's all luck. However it always helps to be the most talented...

Still Melo is not a horrible leader, when he is motivated he's not a horrible defender either, and of course he could never make players around him better like a PG could, not his game, and it's cool lol I was wondering where that came from...
-
You can only put a bunch of good pitchers together and hope, the Giants winning in 2010 I feel backs it up perfectly...

what? lol

Pitching wins championships, it's not idiotic at all..

lol Celtics offense 6-27 (.222) 15 points 17 minutes into the game

Gotta deal him, I'm sure there's a team out there willing to give up a good package... -
Yankees needed pitching, still odd they decline all the offers they had for montero and finally accept this, Pineda nice but young pitchers are so unpredictable..good deal for Seattle
-
We have all of our picks after this year, Shumpert Fields and 1st should be a good enough package...
-
I wouldn't

6 games vs playoff teams, 4 more vs playoff contenders not easy at all imo

Kobe vs Lebron in 4th quarters in last 2 games

The best part is you can go back and look up the topic about Melo vs Kobe in clutch, I've always been on the Melo train, Nugget or Knick. :o nvm, guess i didn't post in that thread, but I thought multi-bill made great points despite everybody just hopping blindly on Kobe -

Absolutely we do, Nash would be a good salary dump for the Suns...the trick would be matching the salaries...
