Everyone can vote on the following major awards and season predictions, and needs to pick three possible players for the award, with #1 being the top choice. If a player on your list wins an award, you will be awarded the following point values? #1 = 3 points #2 = 2 points #3 = 3 points So, if one of the five players you listed wins the award, you get points, but the higher up one the list they are, you get more points. So, if you picked Phillip Rivers to win the MVP as your #3 choice, and he wins, you will receive one point. However, if he won the MVP and was your #2 choice, you would get 2 points. Here are the categories. AFC Offensive Player Of The Year Defensive Player Of The Year Coach Of The Year Rookie Of The Year Most Valuable Player Rookie Of The Year AFC Best Record NFC Best Record Most TD Passes Most TD Receptions Most Rushing TD's Most Passing Yards Most Receiving Yards Most Rushing Yards Highest Passer Rating Most INT's (Defensive) Most Sacks (Defensive)

A plane ride isn't going to hurt him much, if at all. I think you're trying to make it sound like he has a much higher risk of injury, when in fact I really don't think he does. What are you talking about here? You asked how we would feel if NFL players didn't show up to a MEANINGLESS Pro-Bowl. I said that comparison didn't make sense because the Pro-Bowl doesn't count for anything. I also said that I know even if Jeter showed up he wouldn't have played. I'm really not sure where you were trying to go with this one. I'm not saying this in a negative way, but it was a poor comparison considering one game determines home field advantage, and the other does not. I guess I get your point of asking if we would feel the same if a player like Peyton Manning didn't show up because he was injured, but at the end of the day, football is a much more physically demanding sport, and the Pro-Bowl doesn't count for anything meaningful. At the end of the day, he probably should have at least shown up. It's not like they had a game the next day either.

The trip on a plane is not going to hurt his leg much at all when he can get the best treatment there is. I'm not comparing sports here, but many hockey players have injuries during the playoffs, and they take plane rides and suck it up, and play in their games. Derek Jeter didn't even have to play in the game, he just had to show up. Also, why are you comparing the Pro-Bowl to the All-Star Game? One game is much more important than the other, and actually....you know...counts for something. I know in this case that if Jeter showed up he wouldn't be playing, but the point remains the same that the two events aren't comparable. At the end of the day, I think he should have at least shown up for the game. I would never say he has to play because he was just injured, but a plane ride isn't putting his season in jeopardy.

Marine asks Mila Kunis to a ball
EastCoastNiner replied to SRV's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
For a lot of celebrities that is how it is. For Mila Kunis....not a chance. She's hot as hell. -
No, I think other players skipping the game as well aren't doing what they should be doing, which is attending the game. And, it's more about his contract negotiations that I've started not to like him. I actually like A-Rod more.
-
I don't know, maybe the part where he not only sat out, but didn't attend the game? I don't think it's bad if he doesn't play because he doesn't want to hurt himself again, but showing up to the game does not affect that. And, don't give me the "Oh, he needs his trainers back in New York" garbage either. Again, I don't have a problem with him not playing, but at least attend the game. And, it's not surprising because he's become less and less likable over the years.

GQ Ranks best and worst baseball booths

They're both great commentators. They're very level headed as well. I haven't been able to watch the Red Sox as much this year as I used to, but they're both great commentators. Not to mention Heidi Watney as the field reporter doesn't hurt either. . -
I'm glad you're not either because you'd be the biggest loser alive if you were.

James Harrison Rips Goodell And Teammates
EastCoastNiner replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in NFL Football
As a player and as an analyst? Being put at the top of a list for "dirtiest" player unswervingly doesn't mean a player isn't respected. You'd be an absolute fool to think he wasn't/isn't extremely well respected. Anyways, if you want to try and derail threads as usual, go ahead. -

You do know she isn't going now, right? She just said that today. She thinks she may have a "commitment" in November..... It's kind of funny that you posted this today. . -
James Harrison Rips Goodell And Teammates

They should just cut his ass. Everything he said was dumb. Insulting the commissioner, slamming his teammates, and calling two of the most respected players (Bruschi and Rodney Harrison) when they played "clowns". This guy is such a damn headcase. -

He's not the best LB in the league. Why wasn't A-Rod suspended before? Anyways, I'm done talking about Matthews. -
The NFC East this year is the hardest division to predict in a long time. I could see the Giants, Eagles, or Cowboys winning the division. That division is pretty damn stacked. I'm not even going to make a prediction because I'm 50/50 on the Giants and Eagles.

Says the Cowboys fan from New York......And, yes, I know there's a difference when both teams are in the same sport. The point still remains.

Who cares? Obviously ESPN, many NFL players, and many fans? Seriously, what the [expletive] are you talking about? It's only the top headline on ESPN after the women's soccer game. You make no sense at all. -

Why would I be jealous of a player that will be suspended a lot for the remainder of his career? He is a clear juicer. -
This guy is a class A tool. Have fun getting fined for everything when the season starts. You didn't tuck your socks in? There's $10,000. You didn't wash your hands? There's another $10,000. Also, how do you rip your two time winning Super Bowl QB when you had one tackle in the last Super Bowl. I don't care about the interception against the Cardinals, he did jack shit last super bowl. The only thing that could have made his quotes better, was if he said Clay Matthews is a juicer because that is obvious. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6764826/james-harrison-pittsburgh-steelers-blasts-roger-goodell-magazine-interview

The one good thing about soccer games is that at the beginning they always speak out against racism.
-
And I just respond with....."My teams just win, baby!".
-
It should have been pass interference. Every time I hear about the Giants beating the Patriots, I'm just like, [expletive] you, and post that video.
-
Maybe it's because you were younger and don't remember it as much, but I'd figure this would be more painful, although the one you posted would be painful too. I like this one better though. :glasses: . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PclggW30n-k

Shouldn't there be a "1" in front of that six?

I'd probably go with 2007-2008, but during the season, many analysts were saying that they believed his 2010-2011 season was more impressive. Here are some of the arguments: -They had Randy Moss, and he was traded during the season. He was their biggest deep threat, yet they actually improved once he left. -Their top two TE's were both rookies. -He only had FOUR INT's the ENTIRE season. That is absolutely remarkable. -BJE and Danny Woodhead were their two primary HB's.....I love them both, but....... -The only unanimous MVP in NFL history. These are just the reasons off the top of my head, and I would take 2007-2008 as well, but I don't think it's too far fetched to say 2010-2011 was more "impressive".
