Probably four 1st rounders, but the Flyers would be drafting at the end of the first round in all likelihood for those four years. The cap space would worry me more than giving up four picks that are likely falling in the 22+ range.

If the Flyers offer sheet Stamkos, and he accepts it, then Holmgren will have owned this off-season, absolutely owned it.

Gay Marriage Passed In New York
EastCoastNiner replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
It is good news. By the way, when are you going to New York with iwill? -
I'm not even going to start because it's just going to make you look like a complete idiot.

I need to give credit to the women playing in the Woman's World Cup. They actually stay on their feet and don't flop like fish out of water. They are much more professional than the men so far.
-
I'm surprised there wasn't a thread on this already. What are your thoughts on this?

Hey, Mexico, call me when you beat the U.S. in a real sport like baseball, basketball, football (American), hockey, or curling...... .

Motiejunas Has a Message For Dwight
EastCoastNiner replied to htown11's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
He'll be fine. Dwight's an over-rated defender and player in general, so he should have no concerns. There's no need to be embarrassed if you get dunked on with a garbage put back. -
I can't wait for Dougie Hamilton. It'd be cool to see him make the team this year, but even if he doesn't, hopefully in the future the mean streak from Lucic, Horton, ect. can rub off on him because he could be a beast in the future. I would love to see him and Chara on the same pairing. .

If you bastards get Grimaldi.....

Thanks Burke. .

If I couldn't put money on the Bruins to win the Stanley Cup next year, I would put it on the Penguins without a doubt. If there is one team that is jumping for joy right now it is them. It's going to be interesting seeing how Giroux can score and shut Crosby and Malkin down.

What is that last sentence supposed to mean anyways? .

Obviously there are idiots, and many of them, but you are taking the extreme of the proposals. No proposals by Leafs fans are every legitimate as well. It's a good place, especially when you figure out what posters actually know what they are talking about. The "history of hockey" section is VERY good. It's also the same place that was saying Canucks in 3,4,5, and 6. Oh, wait, that was here as well. . I'm just messing with you.

I am really enjoying my time reading hfboards right now. From the free-agent section where people were saying Eklund was obviously going to be wrong, to then reading the actual threads on the Flyers board, it is hilarious. . So many people are freaking out.
-
Did you hear that from Eklund? .

Soccer Player Sent Off For Piercing
EastCoastNiner replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Soccer Forum
No, you would absolutely not be sent off. You wouldn't be send off in football, baseball, or hockey. There are these things called....cups. Also, why the [expletive] was the ref even checking him out. It's not a hazard either way. What a disgrace. -
I told you that Carter was getting traded....and you questioned me.... TSNBobMcKenzie Hearing CBJ gives Voracek, 1st round pick and 3rd round pick for Carter.half a minute agovia Twitter for BlackBerry®

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/soccer/captains-red-card-for-bling-ding-a-ling/story-e6frfg8x-1226080236200 That's beyond pathetic to be sent off for having your penis pierced. If the sport wasn't embarrassing enough already, this just makes it more embarrassing.

The whole team was partying for the first few days, but Seguin and Marchand have just not stopped partying. I'm sure Chara is already back at the gym. . I just hope the success doesn't get to the heads of those two. They both have very bright futures ahead of them if they keep their heads straight.

I admit I don't know a lot about Murphy, but many people have been saying if he was 6'2, he would go #1, so the real concern is his size. I'm just looking forward to the draft tomorrow. Also, it's really funny that you mention Hall partying because you have no idea about Seguin and Marchand the past week. Let me show you. . http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/bb39a959d037e19_9001.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/90a6060e39f31df_9001.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/262108_1778388099709_1239570131_31504239_2793873_n.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/cid_tie_8CDFF08031771AE_2398_9A454-478x640.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/269267_1825207190050_1236360045_31648709_7662147_n1.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/253787_1825208270077_1236360045_31648713_6203182_n1.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/06/97d20467d731ac7_900-477x640.jpg They are just loving life right now. .

Also, for any of you that have had a good viewing of Ryan Murphy, what are your thoughts on him? A lot of Bruins fans want him, as he may have the highest upside of anyone in this draft, but he can bust just as easily. From what I've seen of him, he is not small, he is a [expletive]ing twig.
-
The NHL schedule for next season has been released. The Bruins have a lot of great road games, but they play Montreal way too [expletive]ing early.
