Game 7: Biggest game in Kobe's career?
EastCoastNiner replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
First, I wasn't going to list every reason, and secondly, you are wrong. I'm not saying he didn't make them better, but do you know how many more games the Bulls lost in 1994? Maybe ten? Maybe 15? No, the lost two more games without Michael Jordan. Shouldn't his loss have had a bigger impact? No, because he's over-rated. Also, there were some poor calls in the series against the Knicks, where Pippen got screwed. If they won that round, they would have coasted past the Pacers, and probably lost to the Rockets in the Finals. Also, the Bulls lost 4 games to 2 the next season in the playoffs, doing worse than with they did without M.J. the season before. Big impact, huh? Also, why are you even mentioning the 72 games? If he was that great, why did they only do that once? It's because they got Dennis Rodman that season, filling their interior defense weakness when they didn't have Horace Grant. He started his career with three losing seasons before Pippen and Rodman joined the team, and they won multiple Championships? When M.J. went, they barely suffered, and when he came back, they did worse. Did LeBron have three losing seasons? How many "great" players had three straight losing seasons before getting the best help someone could have? I'm not even going to start about the weak level of his competition. I could go on and on ripping your posts apart, but I don't feel like it right now. -
Game 7: Biggest game in Kobe's career?

It's so funny when people say Jordan is better, but that argument can be ripped apart in seconds. Just look at how the Bulls did when M.J. left the first time. They did just as well. Horace Grant was the key to that team because without him, or another great forward, M.J. couldn't do [expletive]. -

I've said it ever since I've been here, and it's a fact. Phil Jackson is not that great of a coach either. Fact. -

Typical Celtics. Get a good lead, and then piss it away. It didn't help that the officials don't know the difference between a clean block and a foul, but whatever. Kobe> M.J. Let's see how many of you start backpedaling and saying you thought that all along. -
Sweet flop on the red card. . He acted like he was shot with a Barrett .50 cal. .

Bynum: "We're guaranteed to win."

What are you talking about? You're Warren, not Pierce. . -
Once every four years, in which many more people have access to go to the games. If the sport is so popular, the SMALL stadium that they are using should be filled to capacity.
-
It's called different people go to different games. This would never happen with the Super Bowl, that's for sure.
-
And, you were saying......... Also, for the "most popular" sporting event in the world, it's pathetic that they can't even fill up the stadium. . What a joke.
-
If soccer wasn't such an affordable sport for people to play, it would not be nearly as popular because it's boring as hell. I don't mind the World Cup too much because it's the biggest stage, but it is THE most boring major sport BY FAR! He passes left, back, back to right, back to left, up field, back, left. Oh, and it's kicked down the pitch. BORING!

Official "Health and Fitness" Thread

I used chocolate, and mix it with skim milk, and it tastes like chocolate milk. I like the powder I got from beachbody(P90x company) better, but the chocolate with milk is really good. -

It's not complicated at all. There are only like 10 pages that you really ever have to look at because the rest are just recipes. If you want results, you NEEEEEEEEEDDDDD to follow the nutrition plan. Also, I am using Gold Standard Optimum Whey Protein powder, which tastes good, and has 24g of protein/serving. Also, I could give two [expletive]s if that guy has a PhD because there are many doctors, nutritionists, and trainers that would disagree with him. -

Ray Allen has played like [expletive], and the series is 2-2. Boston should be thrilled with that. Also, I don't like the 2-3-2 format. -
It obviously sucks to lose in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but at least it was to the team that was almost unanimously considered the best team in the league. How do you think losing a game 7 in O.T. a year ago being the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, and the player that scored the GWG should have been suspended. Then, I had to watch them this season, and they score the LEAST amount of goals in the league after being one of the highest scoring teams last season. Then they win their 1st round match-up against the probable Vezina winner, and then go up 3 games to 0 against the Flyers, only to piss a 3-0 LEAD DURING game 7 away. THAT sucks! However, it won't suck so bad when Tyler Seguin becomes a Bruin.
-
The offense is one of the best in the NHL and so is the defense, but I must say that I didn't think the goal-tending would screw the Flyers, but it finally caught up with them at the worst possible time. If you guys don't get a legitimate goalie, you're in trouble.

Pau Gasol = best big man in the league?
EastCoastNiner replied to Poe's topic in General NBA Discussion
And, to add to that, most of Dwight's points are on rebounds or alley-oops which are fine, but he doesn't pose the same threat that Gasol is. D12 = most over-rated player in the NBA. Chris Paul is a close 2nd. -

I don't like the Lakers, but I'll admit the sky is the limit for Bynum's potential, and I think he can be THE BEST center in the NBA, especially if Yao isn't the same. He gets so many god damn rebounds! -

EastCoastNiner replied to Cobb's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
The more and more I watch of the Lakers, the more and more I think that it would be incredibly stupid to trade Bynum for Bosh. I think Bynum will lead the NBA in rebounds multiple times, and probably blocks as well. -
You just pointed out the WHOLE problem of what you said. You can't just take the basics because sports are more complex than what you are trying to make them seem.

God damn, they get so lucky sometimes. They have bent, but they haven't broke which is frustrating. I'm going to be like Confidence now, and cry about the Wallace foul that could have led to a tie game the other way. The only thing I'm doing different, is being correct that it wasn't a foul. There's still time left, but even if the Celtics lose, Pierce and Allen aren't going to suck next game. -
