You're just being a bitter fan. If teams have a hot start, then good for them, and they can have an advantage towards the end of the season by benching their starters and keeping their players healthy. Also, giving draft picks for going undefeated is flat out dumb.

Brandon Marshall has surpassed Randy Moss
EastCoastNiner replied to B-Marsh>R-Moss's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
First off, any player will look like they aren't trying if they are on the Oakland Raiders, and do you know who was throwing Randy Moss the ball? Secondly, in a 41-0 game, very few people on the losing side are going to look like they are giving 100% after they fought all season long, and are then deflated, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Finally, I guess kicking the football during training camp, not doing anything positive during training camp, and not listening to your coach doesn't make you lazy or a "selfish player". . You're the same person that still thinks Champ Bailey is the best CB in the NFL. Give up already. -
Brandon Marshall has surpassed Randy Moss
EastCoastNiner replied to B-Marsh>R-Moss's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
There are a few major misconceptions is sports, and one of them is that Randy Moss doesn't give 100% effort. He has a bad game, and everyone thinks he isn't trying, even though he is, and he shut you haters up with a 3 TD game a few weeks ago. Also, I love how you bold the "motivated Randy Moss" statement someone made, and you are comparing Brandon "I don't give a [expletive], and I'm lazy as [expletive], and still not as good as Randy Moss" Marshall. . Hater's keep on hatin'. -

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs. TCU

I didn't really care who won, but I honestly think that TCU was the better team, and should have won the game. -
Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson (Prime & Now)
EastCoastNiner replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Player Comparisons
I'm not denying that, and I didn't really pay much attention to it considering Allen Iverson still maintains a ppg pace twice as much as Jason Kidd, so I really don't care about hte 3-PT% in this case, but FT% is very important when I look at a player, and I don't know what they have both shot, but unless Jason Kidd's FT% is much more significant, I don't really care. -
Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson (Prime & Now)
EastCoastNiner replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Player Comparisons
Rebounding for PG's is a useless stat. The rebounds he gets are one's that his own teammates can get, but don't so they can get transition upcourt. It's Allen Iverson 10/10 times. -
Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson (Prime & Now)
EastCoastNiner replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Player Comparisons
And, often times, leadership is one of the most over-rated qualities when placing a value on a player. When one player is so much more dominant on the offensive side of the ball, that completely wipes out the over-rated quality of leadership. Also, Jason Kidd and Allen Iverson aren't as far apart defensively as many of you seem to think. -
It may sound like a stupid comparison, but it's kind of like how Steve Irwin was around extremely dangerous animals his entire life, and the dies from a stingray, and Wes Welker has taken some huge hits, and then goes down on a freakish injury. Anyways, Julian Edelman, the player who replaced Wes Welker had 10 receptions and 103 yards yesterday, and he is faster than Wes Welker, so he will need to step up. I do not question Bill Belicheck on his decision to play his starters, nor di I question him on the decision to go for it on 4th down against the Indianapolis Colts.

Varejao: 6th Man of the Year?
EastCoastNiner replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
It's only a good stat for hockey, but in the NBA, with all of the fouling at the end, and having to deal with bench players being put in the game during a blowout, and then having them suck can really hurt a player's +/-. -
It's called making sure your players aren't going to get rusty, and I am someone that believes that you should play your starters every game in order to keep them in a groove. Injuries can happen any damn week of the season, and even though if you don't play your starters in the last week or two to maintain their good health, they may get rusty.
-
This is why I picked Dallas to beat the New Orleans Saints, and some of you quoted that post. . However, next week may be a completely different story, but it is a game that I will tune in for sure.

You lost all credibility once you brought up +/- in the NBA. -
Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson (Prime & Now)

Allen Iverson every day of the week. -
It's Leigh Bodden without a doubt.

Let's hope Canada doesn't get lucky as heck like their juniors did against the U.S., and hope that they get vastly outplayed like their juniors did.
-
Yes, and it's quite obvious if you have seen them play often. Chris Paul is all flash, and gets out of position of defense too often, and Deron Williams is a lot stronger than he is, shoots better, and does pretty much everything better, and owns that over-rated [expletive] when they play against each other.
-
If both teams are healthy, I'll take "Team A' any day of the week. They are better everywhere except at SF.

Have fun getting butt raped by Russia, and then Russia will get smoked by the USA!

I would have been disappointed if the Boston Bruins lost in OT/SO, but it still would have been a great game, and the NHL probably can't be any happier. Also, the Boston Bruins jersey's worn today may be my favorite jerseys.

So, what about Ian Lappiere's slashes that weren't called, and somehow that ended up as a matching penalty, and Scott Hartnell's multiple goalie interference non-calls? Tom Thomas won that game. Also, according to Cam Neely and some players, the ice at Fenway Park would have been one of the best ice surfaces in any NHL arena. The NHL could not have asked for three better games than the last three "Winter Classics".

Jason Witten hasn't been used as much, but still has more receptions and yards, even though I know he doesn't have more YPC. I haven't seen enough of either of them, but a lot of it has to do with name recognition. You have to remember that the players and coaches count for 66.66% of the vote, so it;s not like the Dallas Cowboys fans were the sole reason for Jason Witten making the team, even though the NFL All-Pro teams are much more important.
-
And, leading all TE's in TD receptions while being the best blocking TE. Is Jason Witten starting?
-
Yo, Randy Moss, you didn't make the Pro-Bowl. It's time to silence your critics since they didn't vote you in!
-
Have fun with him and his annual longgggggggggggggggg [expletive] slumps, and a ton of strikeouts. He will play great for a while, but when he hits a slump, it's awful.
