http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/31/vick-to-pats-rumor-continues-to-pick-up-steam/ Just wait until the New England Patriots get him. Bill Belichick will utilize him the best that anyone could, and he would be a very key part to the offense. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously Cliff Lee was the biggest name traded, but I'm not sure if he will have the biggest impact. He is a very good pitcher and bolsters that rotation, but I'm going to say that the Boston Red Sox were the biggest winners of the trade deadline. They did what they needed to do, and that was fill a weakness, which has been hitting recently, especially Jason Varitek, who plays the same position as Victor Martinez. Taking Jason Varitek out of the line-up, which is the most likely scenerio for the majority of the season, and placing Victor MArtinez into the line-up is going to be a BIGGGGGGGGG offensive upgrade. There is no way that Victor Martinez will be playing first-base, unless it is a day that the Boston Red Sox give Mike Lowell off, and then Kevin Youkilis would move over to third-base. Victor Martinez's versatility is a big part of this trade, and I think it will really help out. I was hoping to get Adrian Gonzolez, but I'm not sure that would do too much considering it would just take wither Mike Lowell or Kevin Youkilis out of the line-up, which doesn't do much good when you can take Jason Varitek out of the line-up sometimes, and get a MAJOR offensive upgrade. Also, the Boston Red Sox have J.D. Drew, David Ortiz, Mike Lowell, John Smoltz, Brady Penny, and Jason Varitek all ending their contracts either this season or next season, and that gives them some money to sign Adrian Gonzolez if they want. Josh Beckett would be re-signed as well. Also, Justin Masterson will probably be used a starting pitcher, and a lot of people think Nick Hagadone will be really good, but the Boston Red Sox still kept all of their "Top" prospects.

Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
It wasn't baiting at all. I mentioned Adrian Peterson becuase he is a great runner like Michael Vick, and he was rumored to be heading to the Seattle Seahawks, and the 49er's are their rivals, so I was saying I hope Patrick Willis stops him, just like you would hope Kobe Bryant would stop LeBron James if they play each other. It's people over-reacting and getting defensive over their favorite players. -
I agreed with you until you mentioned Derek Jeter. Derek Jeter is a great player, but not on the same level of Ken Griffey Jr. You will find people that don't like A-Rod, Albert Pujols, Barry Bonds, Manny Ramirez, and other great players, but I don't know one person that doesn't like Ken Griffey Jr. He legacy will benefit GREAAAAATTTTLLLLYYYYY because he is clean as of now, and he played in the steroid era. [expletive] injures!

Still don't believe the rumored steroid list?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Baseball Forum
That's exactly why it is not believable. You're telling me that almost EVERY play that used steroids had a good career? No, that is just not true, and there are definitely players that have used them that have sucked, and there aren't enough "fringe" players on this list....... -
The only rumor about Victor Martinez that I have been hearing is the one where he would be heading the the Boston Red Sox. However, I hope the Boston Red Sox get Adrian Gonzolez or Roy Halladay, so the Boston Red Sox can stick it to the [expletive]ing New York Yankees. I would prefer Adrian Gonzolez depending on what it will take to get him.

Still don't believe the rumored steroid list?

This list may be true, but it's shady for one main reason. There aren't enough "fringe" players on this list, so I don't really know about this list. -
Sources: Phillies to get Lee from Indians
EastCoastNiner replied to The Goods's topic in Baseball Forum
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic, or didn't noticed that the incorrect spelling was from an earlier post. -
No, I never said that. However, living in the past is pathetic. I don't see any Boston Celtics fans saying, "We're still better, we have 17 Championships" to L.A. Lakers fans.

Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
I'm not trying to play it off at all. . You're the one brining the Minnesota Vikings into this thread. Seattle Seahawks= NFC West Patrick Willis= NFC West Michael Vick= Rumored to NFC West Adrian Peterson= Great RB that got shut down by the 49er's, just like Michael Vick would hopefully be shut down, and he is a great runner, just like Adrian Peterson. You take things too personally, and Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson are like your lovers or something. I could have mentioned any RB, but I mentioned the best one in the NFL. Obviously the 49er's and Seattle Seahawks are rivals, so I want to talk about them. -

Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
I mentioned Patrick Willis because they are in the same division, and Adrian Peterson because he is one of the best RB's, so stop being so defensive of him. And, the Vikings pulled him out of the game because he was getting [expletive] on. -
Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?

No. That is the most rumored destination, and they would go it, so you need to get back to reality. -
Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
He's coming to the New England Patriots. Get over it, it's going to happen! And, if he goes to the Seattle Seahawks, Patrick Willis will [expletive] him up, just like he did to the mortal Adrian Peterson. -

He's a [expletive]. If you enter the draft, are are selected, you sign a contract, and not [expletive] out because you're a [expletive]ing tool. -
