I haven't been able to see any complete games since Wednesday, just bits and pieces of them because of my senior week and graduation. However, I plan on watching the Rangers and Capitals game later tonight, and from the replay of the Ovechkin hit, there's no way that is worth a suspension. I can't comment on the officiating that people seem to be upset with because I haven't seen the entire game yet, but that hit is not suspension worthy.

He most certainly meant to bump the ref. You can tell by the way he puffed his chest out a little. It's going to be interesting how many games he gets suspended for, if he does, considering his suspension earlier this year.......

Howard is trash. An extremely over-rated defender with no post moves to this very day. I'll take Bynum over Howard 10/10 times. Just like Yao always made Howard his red-headed step child, Bynum will do the same for the rest of their respective careers.

The Texans picked up a kid I used to play sports with and go to school with named Shawn Louiseau. There's nothing but praise for him on the Texans board so far, so I'm looking forward to seeing if he makes the squad or not. He got really screwed over with his legal issues though. That's the correct call. I usually hate long suspensions (if you call this long), but this was a clear, dirty elbow with some good force to the head of Harden. Very good suspension.

No, you should not punish based on the result of injury. You should only punish based on the action itself. It's dumb now that the NHL factors in injuries to their suspensions. Suspend the act, and NOT the result.
