Hocutt (our AD) met with Gruden today but we left with no agreement. There's interest but I think he's holding out for an NFL job. Now there's reports than Dan Mullen is in south Florida on a "recruiting trip".

According to Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post, quoting a BOT member, we will get a definite answer today The main highlights of the article are: 1. Both sides have reached a level of understanding on a contract (4 or 5 years) 2. Language is being ironed out whereby UM is protected financially if Gruden bolts for the NFL within the first or second year 3. Budget for assistants and support staff still need to be negotiated 4. Gruden's role on MNF; apparently UM is willing to let Gruden complete the NFL season 5. If Gruden falls through, then Mullen is our next target

You can see the talent with Barnes, its undeniable that he's a top level talent. He also strikes me as a hard worker as well but something just isn't clicking right now. As everyone here knows, I'm always the first to question, bash or comment on Spo. However, this past weekend really made me respect him a lot and I'm going all in with him. He's got my full support from here on out and I like seeing him going at LeBron and then meeting with him. He needs to take control and make these guys respect him. That is all.

Good to see them getting on the same page. Needs to happen if we want to be successful.
