I was just saying in general. Had I thought of someone else I would have. I just think those guys have been the 2 best in recent memory. Long was very good, no doubt. Just not sure I'd rate him as high as Suh or Sapp.

I think FSU falls out of the top 25 at some point this season. What I said about them is true either way. Their DL is awful, even realistic Nole fans will tell you that. They have solid LB's and their secondary is average at best with Greg Reid being the only guy worth something at this point.

Again, name a more dominant DL up until Suh came along.

1. Bama - number 1 until proven otherwise 2. OSU* - great balance/depth on both sides 3. Texas - nasty defense 4. Oregon - unlimited offense 5. Boise - great offense but secondary sucks 6. TCU - solid on both sides 7.Wisonsin - return just about everyone 8. Iowa - best DL in the country one could argue 9. UF - too talented to look like they did in week one every week 10. Miami - talent on both sides and now they have experience 11. Oklahoma - offense always puts up points 12. Nebraska - great defense, average offense 13. Virginia Tech - breaking in a bunch of new players 14. USC - most talented qb in the country, Monte should eventually have the defense playing better 15. Arkansas - great offense, average D 16. Georgia Tech - lost their 2 best skill players on offense, D is suspect 17. Georgia - young on both sides 18. Utah - always a good team 20. FSU - great QB, lack of quality depth at RB, WR, DL and in the secondary will hurt them 21. Auburn - Newton makes them better automatically 22. South Carolina - great defense, improved QB play 23. LSU - won't be ranked for long 24. WVU - should win games in the Big East 25. BYU - solid team year in, year out

I follow FSU pretty closely. The talent is starting to get back there but there's no experience and not enough depth. Their extremely weak up front and in the secondary.

Doubt it stays that way. I'd say it'll go down to 6 or 7 by kickoff.

Both teams are overrated at this point. FSU still doesn't have a defense that can play against a real team and OU just isn't as good all around as people think. I'd say OU since they're at home.

Each team, both SC and Miami made too many mistakes against teams they should've put away before regulation. If ST holds onto that ball and doesn't fumble we win and if USC doesn't have the Bush fumble they probably go onto score and get all the momentum early.

They don't matter? Of course they do. Ask Auburn if they matter. Rankings shouldn't come out till after week 4 tbh. Then you get a sense who's for real and who isn't. Pre-season rankings are ridiculous because sometimes there's teams who are always ranked highly because of who they are (VT) and undeserving hype like Nebraska this season.

Crouch < Suh. Suh was the most dominant lineman in the college game since Warren Sapp. Crouch's Heisman should've gone to Ken Dorsey that year.

Agreed. Its not even the snaps that should have UF worried. Their offensive playcalling was horrific against Miami (OH) and Brantley didn't look very good to be honest. Its gonna have to be a Jeff Demps takeover this Saturday unless they call some better pass plays. They won't out-athlete USF as much as they did Miami (OH).

20-30 point win for Oregon.

What about them makes them deserving of being number 6? They lost hands down the best player to walk through there in close to 20 years and their offense is still suspect. They haven't proved anything to belong at 6.
