So now we're not supposed to discuss the biggest news story in the country right now? Meh, I think I'll choose to keep discussing it with people who wanna have a reasonable discussion about it. Not those who resort to telling members to stfu because they don't agree with me on every little issue. Its not like me and ECN were the only ones posting in this thread, and its also interesting that there are a couple other members who agreed with what I had to say. I guess they're racist asshole's too right? I never said one bad thing about the kid, nor will I. I found that picture and even then said I wasn't sure if it was Martin or not, also completely disagreed with that right wing biased article that was AWFUL journalism but go ahead and keep labeling me as a racist bigot even though I've stated a hundred times I'm on the kids side.

No one here is justifying anything at all stop [expletive]ing making it seem like we're on Zimmerman's side. We're actually all on the side of the kid in that he absolutely DID NOT deserve to get shot. Read my post where I posted my theory of what could've happened and tell me if I'm being the racist bigot you're trying to make me out to be. [expletive]ing pathetic.

Its also funny that people are saying that ECN and I have already taken a set position on this. Which if you actually read my post, I haven't at all. I just posted one theory that other agreed could be close to what happened which is based on the evidence that's been made public. I also said that any other theory is just as possible as that one because we don't really know everything that happened for sure. Saying that the evidence that's come out will make it tough to convict Zimmerman isn't picking a side either. Its being rational. Believing that there's more to this story than the media is saying is one thing, its totally another thing to make it out like we think Martin deserved this which we've stated he absolutely didn't. This shouldn't be an issue of race. The media and the Rev. Al's of the world made it one though, not us. Murder is murder regardless of who pulls the trigger.

Those groups are all entitled to their own beliefs. Do I agree with them? Absolutely not those groups are all ignorant as hell but its their right to believe what they want to. Just like the Black Panthers. Do I agree with them? Absolutely not, but they're entitled to their beliefs however ignorant they may be.

I thought it was a great gesture by our guys. D-Wade and LBJ even had messages on their shoes as well. I've maintained all along that Martin didn't deserve to die so don't try and make me seem like a racist or some kind of bigot because that's exactly what you tried to do with that post. Smh...that's just sad from you. Mike Miller wasn't traveling with the team because of an ankle injury he's recovering from.

^^I'm with you on that. The evidence, or lack thereof if going to make it so hard to convict this guy. He does need to at least be tried though, and if the law finds him acting in self defense then there will be riots.

I think the consensus is that Zimmerman is in the wrong for shooting the kid, without a doubt. That being said, I think the guy was genuinely suspicious of Martin, considering all the crime that neighborhood has seen and his mall cop power trip mentality. Martin did go up to him too lets not forget that either. IMO its possible that Zimmerman tried him, Martin being a 17 year old kid (who'd be rational in this situation at 17?) who felt like he was being stereotyped because of race probably got pissed and confronted the guy. Zimmerman probably shat his pants because now shit just got real for the first time and there's no one to protect him. He gets hit (he has a broken nose and head injuries) freaks out because he's getting his ass beat, reaches for the gun and shoots Martin. I'm just not convinced this went down like its being perceived. I think Martin was more irritated with this guy than anything else, not afraid. If he was scared of this short, fat rent-a-cop loser then why did he walk towards him? Like I said before, no one knows what happened for sure and any theory could possibly be right but I think we can all agree that this kid didn't deserve to get shot.
