Do it. Melo has gone down a little bit recently and in terms of scoring Dirk doesnt quite match him but its still close. Dirk gets more rebounds, a consistent shot blocker, and 3 point shooter. I say do it but if the guy is like your typical NBA fan and he overvalues Carmelo you can probably get more then just Dirk.

Seriously I think so. The Cavs are the only team that are contenders in the East imo. The Celtics look like they are done. They have been a mess since the year 2010 started and just lost to the Nets at home, healthy or not I mean losing to the Nets at home??? The Magic still have a chance but VC has been a total waste for them and no Hedo means they will be in trouble come playoff time. Dwight still has 4th quarter and free throw issues, and they chuck up more threes then usual. The Hawks come and go, still not big enough to contend and dont really excel in anything, and for some reason they always play like they are inexperienced.

If Kobe plays like this in the playoffs, we are done. On the other hand, playoff Kobe is a whole nother animal.

We also gave them first round draft picks ALONG with financial help in the form of expiring contracts. Except we didnt do any under the table bull[expletive] which allowed us to get the players back that we traded away. And believe me we could have used Kwame in the finals against Boston.

Gasols contract at the time wasnt too pretty either, thats partially why the Griz were so desperate to move him. And I already know the contract situation with Jamison. I dont think you can put Lebron on an offensive player with the hot hand and be satisfied with the results you get. Thats why Lebron has never stepped up to the challenge of stopping an elite offensive player. Its happened every year the Cavs get in the playoffs, Lebron simply refuses to defend the best offensive players at all or even late in games. Many Cavs fans were calling for him to defend Rashard Lewis last year but it never happened. I distinctly remember Lebron sticking to Rafer Alston for majority of the time, and Rafer Alston even lit him up in that Eastern conference finals. He would never guard Turkoglu or Shard Lewis. Theres no reason to consider him an elite defender imo, he doesnt do anything that warrants that statement even his help defense is not even that spectacular he just impresses you with the sportscenter highlights every now and then.
