Not only that, but if he wins he gets the credit of leading the Clippers out of the gutters and into champions. He can turn around a whole franchise just like he could have done to the Cavs (except hed have a better team in LA obviously).

Im siding with NY on this. Felton has played at an all star level. Gallo and Chandler are enough to get this deal done, along with other pieces like expirings and draft picks. Dont gut your whole team just for Melo. Hes not going to sign an extension with anyone else and the Lakers dont want him anymore. The Nuggets arent going to get anything better from elsewhere.

Fixed. Never bet on Laker regular season games, most unpredictable regular season team. You never know when they wont show up, or decide to play soft. However they are the best postseason bet, I made profits the last 2 postseasons betting that they would win the championship. :glasses:

Yup. Melo is a true scorer and franchise player, someone who can get you a bucket at any point in the game when you need one. The Clippers would not be a laughing stock with Melo. Plus, its easy to build around Melo + Griffin. Gordon is a nice piece but nowhere near a franchise player. And youre getting Smith in the deal who is also a very serviceable bench player or even starter. But lets be real, Melo would never agree to join the Clippers.

Thank you Poe. I bet you Korvers impact on offense would cancel out whatever defensive weaknesses he may have. Having a shooter of his caliber playing with Kobe, and two dominant post players, is huge. I wish we would have signed him in the offseason. Fisher shoots 40 % from 3 also, so you cant double off anyone Of course we can never get him, the Bulls would never give him to us, and hes so much better then Artest. But makes you think how awesome this team would be with a good shooter like that.

Would this be the greatest offensive team of all time? You would not be able to double team anybody. And Kobe/Pau/Drew all command double teams. And if you do then Korver would light it up. Plus Fisher who is also capable of hitting big shots.
