Biggest OTR Love Affair Between Two Members?
kingfish replied to a topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Actually ill change my vote to Phightins and Yugo because they're both classless, they both hate the Lakers and troll them when they are losing and then disappear when they win, and they love each other. -

Whatever happened to the good old days?
kingfish replied to kingfish's topic in General NBA Discussion
The Lakers pretty much drafted Kobe, Jerry West was probably the greatest scout in basketball and knew how great Kobe would be. Shaq was just one free agent signing. Pau was acquired through trade, not free agency, and he got better with the Lakers becuase everyone thought he was soft back in 08. What about Bynum and Fisher? They drafted them did they not. -
Where teams would draft their own talent and developed them into superstars? Or at least traded for players that would eventually get better over time. Now a days teams just build their roster through free agency. Like the Heat with Lebron and Bosh, the Knicks with Amare, and soon to be Melo and CP3. Now teams are just trying to become elite by scoring big on free agency, rather then do the scouting find players that would be best for their franchise. Like how the Spurs and Lakers built their teams. Through drafting their franchise players and then making trades and signings for role players to surround them with a good supporting cast. Now the NBA has turned into, "omg u wanna meet up in New york wit Amare? we can be da big 3 of da nba. and I heard u dont gotta play defense in NY" - Melo to CP3 <_<

Warriors Looking To Make 'Superstar' Trade
kingfish replied to The Regime's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I would give up the whole Lakers roster to get Stephen Curry. -
No dude it really is lack of focus. Its blatantly obvious with how we give up wide open jumpers all game long.

Any game that requires effort to win, you can expect us to lose.

Good offensive flow so far but Mavs are getting too many open looks, those start goin in and were [expletive]ed.

Prokhorov: We're Walking Away from the Deal
kingfish replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Renting Melo would have been a complete waste, the Nets are going nowhere this season with or without him. -
Prokhorov: We're Walking Away from the Deal
kingfish replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
The Nets never had a shot at him anyway. It was clear all along he would not sign an extension with New Jersey, and he only wants to play for the Knicks. Im not sure how this is even news, the Nets had 0 chance of getting him. -
Team forums in divisions (current) or in conferences?
kingfish replied to Real Deal's topic in Feedback and General Support
Conferences only if theyre arranged in seeding order, otherwise it would be too much work to find a specific forum. If not then keep it in divisions. -
You'd be willing to trade Fields in a package for Melo? Fields is a beast.

Are point guards taking over the league?

Lebron and Wade are NOTORIOUS for getting phantom calls so I assume tonight was no different.
-
The Celtics were hacking all game and they are a pretty dirty team. Also dont forget about the intentional fouls at the end which factored into that.
-
So let me get this straight. Lebron and Wade take more free throws then the entire Hawks team combined, and as a team they shoot more then twice as many free throws then the Hawks, and they still lose? The Heat having the refs behind them isnt enough. They should just give them 4 points for every basket.

Sour grapes. ^_^

Scorekeepers padding Rondo's assists?
kingfish replied to Real Deal's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
I think the New Orleans score keepers used to do the same for CP3, and probably still do.
