  1. Marketing my friend. They come out with one a year, and that way no matter when your contract expires from your last one you can buy an improved one and continue your plan. Apple's clearly making money with their method, it's good marketing.
  2. Brewer improved quite a bit last year from what I saw (maybe it was just his numbers, but I know he's a good defender and his offensive numbers went up... he looked more comfortable in the limited action I saw), but Paul George shouldn't be passed up by anyone outside the lottery in my opinion. He's a tweener SG/SF, and has size for either and athleticism to match.
  3. I would say there's some others like JR Smith, Nate, The Jet, Ben Gordon, hell even Von Wafer at times last year, and Manu. But Jamal had the best year.
  4. I think Michael Choice was a bit of a reach at 10 but he in my mind is a very good prospect. Power, speed, average... I think he's a solid pick for the As. Kind of confused by the Giants ignoring power and going for speed. I mean... this roster is anemic, and if it weren't for great pitching, no way we're 6 games over .500. Get some pop, not the fastest guy in the draft.
  5. I bet he tried it in high school... apart from that, he's too health conscious and IMO too smart to do that.
  6. He did leave Ray open a few times, and he shoots too much haha. He's got a bit of the JR Smith syndrome... just not as much, and not as good.
  7. Yeah, and Shannon Brown said over FBook that Lakers are winning Game 3. Players talk. Big whoop. I wouldn't be too surprised if Boston sweeps at home, but I expect LA to win a game there and go back and take it to 6 or 7.
  8. Arcade needs to come back so that Tim can own all the top scores and he'll come back. Member teams might be fun again, since it never really got started. And yeah Cobb has done a nice job as MLB guy, Mod him for that forum IMO.
  9. You're Never Over is real nice once it gets going.
  10. So far I'm liking Talkin 2 Myself and No Love.
  11. I'll be there July 1 when my contract expires.
  12. Whoops, my bad I wasn't paying attention, saw a 6-5 score and assumed Giants. Sorry sir haha.
  13. True, the fouls called on LA were often on your better defenders. But to say that Garnett nearly fouling out helped Boston win? I'm not sure how you can say that. Glen Davis chucked the ball up for 13 shots... Sure, he hustled and rebounded, but between him and Shelden Williams Boston clearly had worse things going on at PF than they did with Garnett out there. Garnett didn't turn the ball over, had 6 assists in 24 minutes, and also had 4 boards and 6 points on 5 FG attempts. Shelden had 2 turnovers in 4 minutes, while Davis missed 9 shots and had another turnover. Kobe's fouls are up for debate, but I feel like only 2 of them were questionable... one of them late in the third, and another I think early in the third. That said, he sat a lot of the first half with his 3 I believe, when Boston built their huge lead. Those fouls were all warranted, and despite the comeback when Kobe came back in, that's where the game was lost. As far as dribble penetration being the problem, yes it was. Rondo didn't just happen to drop a triple double, he knows how to score and dish. How did he have so much success? Was it Kobe's foul trouble, or the fact that he had to switch over to Ray Allen who was having the first half of his life? Whether or not he was on the bench, he was going to be guarding Allen. Don't tell me Artest would have changed that, he's far too slow to guard Rondo, and was better off guarding Pierce than Allen for multiple reasons. Sure, there were some nicnac fouls in the game, but that's basketball for you. I'd have preferred to see the refs let them play, but there is more to blame for the loss than Kobe's 14 bench minutes.
  14. Thanks for finding the stats... 2 fouls apart tells me it's close. Lakers have more FTs attempted... I mean I'm not arguing one way or another, I just feel like it's been very touchy, but even both ways more or less. There haven't been any Jim Joyce calls yet.
  15. Actually I take that back. I played a friend's Pokemon (idk if it was Red, Blue... don't reember) for the Game Boy Color.
  16. I think people tend to complain about fouls when their team loses a somewhat close game. It happens, I get sick of blaming games on the refs... I think it's been pretty fair so far. Some bad calls, but they go both ways.
  17. San Fran beat the Phils, not San Diego. Good win for the GMen, playing pretty well so far but tough division thus far.
  18. Obviously. I'm a Republican, straight up, but come on give the guy a break. He's been to the Gulf multiple times that I've seen, and besides... I'd imagine every person needs a break at some point.
  19. So Kobe had foul trouble, good calls for the most part IMO, bad calls both ways a few times but it wasn't really one sided if you ask me. Rondo had a triple double, Ray had 7-8 3s in the first half and really set the tone, Pau played well but everyone else was kinda eh for the Lakers.
  20. Donkey Kong 64. One of my favorites of all time. Soon after were all the other great 64 games. Best system of all time.
  21. I wanna go back to that Ariza-Artest thread from the offseason when Yugo and I got trashed by everyone... I think Ariza had the better season.
