C'mon, Laker fans...that's such a cop-out. As I've defended in this thread, I feel Kobe is the best last-second shot maker in the league, but you can't justify taking contested 3 pointers over double/triple teams. If you do not give those role players the opportunity to get comfortable in those situations to hit clutch shots, they will never attain that skill. It's like saying Kobe should have never been passed the ball in clutch situations after he threw up airball after airball against Utah in the playoffs when he was around 19. Without that experience, and without future situations where he was given the opportunity to hit clutch shots, he would have never developed into the clutch player he is today. The same goes for his teammates. In fact, that's one of Phil's main philosophies, to give the players the opportunity to play through diversity and struggle...but the key is you have to give them that opportunity. Basically, if it isn't the correct basketball play for Kobe to take contested fadeaway 3 pointers over double teams in the 1st quarter, then it isn't the correct play to make in the 4th quarter. Just because he has the uncanny ability to make the play maybe twice in every 10 tries doesn't make it right.

Trading Bosh would be stupid this early in the Miami Heat project. Right now he's playing great, and he's doing his work very comfortably within the confines of the offense. He's automatic with all those open mid-range jumpers he's getting from LBJ and Wade, and he's pretty damn effective and efficient in face-up situations (of all the Big 3 he's been the most aggressive in iso situations when it comes to getting to the rim). For the last 10 games or so his game has really picked up and he's been the most consistent of the Big 3 by far. Most importantly, as I mentioned before, he's found his niche in the offense and is doing it within the flow of the game. To answer the question as to why he's in so many trade rumors, it's because he was the early-season scapegoat of the Heat's roster, and he's soft and the most likely of the Big 3 to get traded.

If there's one trade in the entire NBA I'd love to see, it'd be Chris Paul joining the Orlando Magic. With the best PG in the NBA setting up Howard, especially in PnR situations, the combo would be LETHAL. Paul would give the team a go-to guy, someone who could generate offense for the still somethwt-limited Howard (who has slowly progressed quite a bit offensively) as well as the rest of the role players against teams like the Celtics, he'd vastly improve their fastbreak game with his ability to generate steals, he'd provide on-court leadership and in Van Gundy's system I think he could really be a force. Unfortunately, I doubt it happens because I think he has his eyes set on NY, but if the Magic could somehow land him by 2012 it'd be one hell of a move.

Yeah BBW was awesome, that was my favorite site before it went to hell (I knew I remembered you from somewhere!). BBW for life.

Orlando lands Agent Zero, J-Rich, and Hedo
Nitro replied to ChosenOne's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
It'd be a really risky move on the Magic's part, but I think the move has the potential to pay dividends for them. Arenas has worn out his stay in Washington and desperately needs a change of scenery. He would give the Magic that #1 guy to go-to at the end of games, and in their system I think he can really turn things around and be closer to the Arenas we saw in 2005-2007. Of course his massive contract and injuries would have me probably turn this deal down if I were Orlando, but I think it could potentially be a high-reward signing. -
Insomnia is a symptom of blue balls. http://teamblueballs.tripod.com/blue-balls-shirt-color2.jpg

Isomnia's a biatch. I've been up all damn night and I don't think I'll be getting to sleep anytime soon. Ugh...I feel like I've seen the same Sportscenter episode about 15x.

Bro, you're probably 100% right, and I'd love to say that I'd use one of the 3 condoms I always carry on me...but I know if I got the "ok" I'd rip that [expletive] raw. I don't handle impulses and urges too well. As I said before, though, rubbing some 'Tussin on the lil guy the next day does wonders.

Gilbert actually called Bron a coward in that letter after the Decision I do think it's going to be an awfully dangerous situation in Cleveland though, from his arrival, to the walk out the tunnel, to pre-game rituals, to the game, to the walk back through the tunnel, then to the car/bus ride out. I know they will have extra security and most of the fans will be rowdy and not over-the-top, but out of 20,000 people in a city that had their hearts crushed like never before from a athlete, there will be some people looking to hurt the guy.

That was my prediction before the season started :glasses:

Bottom line is if I have the oppertunity to have sex with at least a decent looking girl, or I can go to a regular season NBA game, I'll take the sex every single time.
-
Bingo. Unless it's Game 7 of the NBA Finals and I have courtside seats, give me sex with an even decent looking girl anyday. As great as basketball is, it doesn't force blood to rush to my dick and eventually give me the strongest pleasurable sensation a person can have...maybe for STAT City it does, but not for me.

If she ever [expletive]in answers her phone or texts me back I will gladly post those pics for you, sir.

Psst...ain't nothin that a lil Robotussin can't fix.

I wanted it to be a one-time thing and nothing more. But the fact that I didn't get it in tonight is why I want to pursue it 'till I do get it in. And what the [expletive] do I care if she's in rehab and was drunk. I wouldn't care if she murdered her family and was on the run from the cops, as long as she's drunk and horney, I'm totally game. [expletive]'s [expletive]. Ain't like I'm trying to have a relationship, either on a friendship or long-term sexual level...I just want to [expletive] that [expletive].
-
Aren't you gay lol? And I've [expletive]ed girls in the past, but ever since I broke up with my ex I've hit a really rough patch. I'm in that friends-only zone with a few girls that *I* put there, because I can have them if I wanted. I just don't want to [expletive] up those awesome friendships, and just want to find a stupid drunk [expletive] who wants to [expletive] me raw. And I found that tonight. And now she's [expletive]ing gone. I wrote a little thing about the game in the gameday thread. But seriously, [expletive]>basketball.
-
Yep, wiping it off right now. I figured that wouldn't last, but at least us Net fans had 11 games to gloat and be [expletive]s. Rest of the year is yours, bro. I'd love to see NY continue this and be a legit playoff team that can maybe do a little damage, the NBA needs NY basketball to be back.

Ok, so today I went to Philly with my dad to see the Sixers-Blazers game. He got tickets from his boss, and they were 8th row behind the Sixers bench...had a great time. Was all happy coming home, when my dad gets a call from his work (which is located in Trenton, halfway between Philly and my school, where my dad was dropping me off...he runs a rehab) and evidently some girl at his rehab got drunk and ran away from the housing. He tells me he has to stop there to find her, which I'm cool with. We get there, find her, and she's 21 and pretty damn good looking. My dad says he'll drop her off at a location near my school so her parents can pick her up...cool. Before we leave from where we pick her up me and her go smoke a cigarette and get to talking. She's mad cool, said I was cute, and we start flirting and [expletive]. The entire drive up she's texting me, rubbing my arm (she was in the back, I was in passenger), and keeps saying [expletive] like she wants to [expletive] me tonight, says I shouldn't pass up this oppertunity, etc... By this point I want to get in the backseat and [expletive] her brains out, but if my dad found out I was having ANY relations with his client while she was piss drunk, he'd break my neck. So, I keep telling her some time this week I'll find a way to get to her and we'll [expletive]...but no, she wants to do it NOW. The issue is I don't have a car since I totalled mine in February, so she says when she gets to that spot where her parents are going to pick her up (which was in a Sonic parking lot), she would run and I would find her later on and we'd [expletive]....I know, she was that retarded drunk. Anyway, we get there, and my dad goes to the bathroom. Once he's out of sight we start making out and [expletive], she's rubbing my dick, all that good [expletive]. My dad comes back, and she keeps trying to get away from him and have me come with her. Anyway, her parents finally get there, and as they are talking to my dad outside of the car, we're making out. Once they say it's time for her to go, she RUNS INTO THE [expletive]ING WOODS BEHIND THIS SONIC ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY!!!! After like 20min they finally find her, lock her in the back of her parents car, and drive off. Since then I haven't gotten any [expletive]ing texts!!!! WHY DOES THIS [expletive] HAPPEN TO ME?!?! I finally find a nice, sloppy drunk [expletive] who I just met that wants my dick like no other and God just says, "Hahahaha Alex, I'mma get you all crazy horny, tease the living [expletive] out of you, then take her away without the ability to let you contact or find her!!!! Hahahah [expletive] you Alex." That's what God's [expletive]ing saying to me. WHAT THE [expletive]!!!! Like I'm so [expletive]ing horny right now I can't even jerk off, I'm only capable of ruthlessly tearing a [expletive] to shreds. I can't even talk. I can't form coherant sentences. For the last half hour I've been laying on my dirty floor at my dorm doing hip thrusts into the air. I just want to [expletive]ing do a front flip and land with my dick heading hard into that [expletive]. SHE'S GOOD LOOKING TOO!!!! Ahhhh why does this [expletive] happen to me!?! I swear to god I'm gonna kill someone. WTF. [expletive]. I hate my [expletive]ing life I HAD THAT [expletive] ON LOCK IT WAS MINE!!!!!!!!! *sigh*...sorry, just had to share that.

I went to this game, 8 rows behind the Sixers bench, foul-line extended. First time I've ever been to Philly and a Sixers game and had a great time. The arena is really nice, the fans were great (even though the stadium wasn't full, they were passionate...something I'm not used to as a Nets fan), and the game was good. It was very strange as both teams dropped about 30pts a piece in the first half, but the final score was low. In the first half the Sixers were getting KILLED in the paint, giving up 3 alley-oops to Aldridge and getting killed on the boards. In the 2nd half the defense tightened up and the Blazers offense went hay-wire. Roy looked really, really bad, and without him to go to they were having trouble getting anything going. Iguodala was also non-existent offensively, and one fan said sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter when he had only 2pts, "That's the most expensive 2pts in the NBA." Haha. The 2nd half Evan Turner also seemed to be in Collins' doghouse, not getting any PT. I also noticed during timeouts Turner was looking at the big screen or joking around, which told me a lot about his work ethic or willingness to get back into the game. Overall, had a fun time. I got tickets for March 30th when the Rockets come to Philly, and I have the same seats. Can't wait.

I respect Spoelstra for doing what he has to do in terms of earning LeBron and everyone else's respect, and I do hope he can turn this around and make the most out of what he has to work with, but I fear that he has already lost this team. If that's the case, he has to go.
-
Yeah, he's mad underrated. His verse in Uncommon Valor, where he raps from the POV of his dad is amazing.
-
All very interesting, but all are things we already knew. The Wojo obsession with LBJ and his crew got tiring about 4 months ago.

Kobe's been doing it for over a decade, consistently. I can pullup Youtube videos of 8+ minutes of Kobe hitting game-tying or winning shots, and that's just from '96-'04. Kobe has the ultimate killer instinct and can hit any shot on the floor, both off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations. He's simply better in that department. Melo's pretty much peaked. And whether or not Melo has reached his peak has no bearing on who is the better last-second shot maker.
