  1. We have our backup PG so we can either resign AC to assume the third string PG or just waive him as J.R. can run some PG too. Karl already said J.R. will be our starter next year... Suppose we resign Bird, Jones and AC, what's really our next biggest need to beat the Lakers? C - Nene PF - Kenyon Martin SF - Carmelo Anthony SG - J.R. Smith PG - Chauncey Billups --- PF - Chris Andersen SG - Dahntay Jones SF - Linas Kleiza PG - Ty Lawson PG - Anthony Carter SF - Renaldo Balkman C - Johan Petro C - Steven Hunter I'd like to hear other members' inputs. I already have what I think is the problem... but I want to see if other members here can echo the same thing... to see if it's glaring or not.
  2. I still think Brandan Wright is going to be at least decent in this L Hope Warriors sleep on him and we are able to trade for him. I'm a big Brandan believer.
  3. I think Mullens is very underrated... he has good hands, and knows how to position himself or get better position offensively. He's actually pretty agile for a guy his size... and can be a committed defender. Good trade by Thunder getting him.
  4. Very happy, we traded our future conditional Bobcats pick for Lawson... Not sure precisely what the condition is for next season but I think it's protected 1-12. Lawson is who we need to backup Billups... Personally I like taller guards better and I didn't like we were going to draft him a year ago before he pulled out of draft. Now he's more ready, he's stronger, and he can run a team better. He's a better finisher in the paint too... something that I questioned last year. The change of pace when he comes into the game is going to be big for us, Billups likes the slow down game and when he comes in it's the breakneck fast pace, it makes our team offense very dynamic and throws teams off base. He's the yang to Billups' yin. Gives him a lot of rest, in return he gives Lawson the much needed guidance and teaching for a rookie PG. If he struggles, it'd be something Billups can relate to, going through it himself.
  5. I wouldn't lie, if I was picking for the Nuggets and both Jrue and Lawson are available, I would pick Holiday. But only if we draft basing on talent alone. We need Lawson, we can't afford to wait for Holiday to develop although I'm not sure if you need to wait that long for him to develop. And anyway, he was off the board when Minny picked for us and we had to go with Lawson. Had it been the other way around, we may have drafted Jrue. He's long... what I like about his talent is "quiet". He's quietly explosive, like Brandon Roy who will quietly blow past you. There is a quiet meanness to his game. He's long and has long arms, a good defender, a good passer, and has a good feel for the game. The more I see his game, the more I like him. He sees the defense and figures out how to attack it precisely. Everyone thinks he's a project but I think he can have a ROTY-ish season. I see him as a top 6 talent in this draft, Sixers are very lucky to get him. But I just am as happy with our pick Lawson, and hope he can be as good and undo that Jameer Nelson trade. Yeah I just came with a comparison... he is a guard version of Lamar Odom. There's a smooth and meanness to his game.
  6. Judging by the expression when the Wolves called his name, it's not like someone who does not want to be there... but maybe Rubio thinks he'll just play out his contract so there's no buyout burden or it becomes less. If he plays for the Knicks, there's a chance he will buyout because Knicks are obviously a bigger market and presents more marketing opportunities for him to lessen the buyout load.
  7. Nuggets........................... Bulls, Knicks
  8. Wow I thought at first it was one of those hacked moments again and we'd be fine after 1-2 days but this time, it's for real... kind of hard to imagine. And I am emotionless, just like when we lost to Lakers... dammit... not even sad or angry, definitely not happy. Empty, but we will get back to where we were... and better! And no Real, you will have to endure Nuggets championship for two years http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif
