  1. What's there to compare? One was an NBA star for years and years, the other?.... nothing in comparison.
  2. ?? Just because it's one sided rivalry for a long while, doesn't mean that it isn't a true rivalry and the losing team isn't constantly trying to vie for that supremacy. For example, I live in Ontario and our two hockey teams, ottawa and toronto, are always trying to be the best in the province. Toronto has sucked dick for the past 6-10 years, but it's still a very real rivalry, even though this is the first year in a while that Toronto has a decent record.
  3. who else is hoping and praying for Lakers/Clippers playoff match up?
  4. I disagree - This is definitely a true rivalry, and it always has been. Both teams are constantly battling it out for supremacy in LA, but the thing that matters most is that there is no clear cut dominant team between the two. The Clips haven't been remotely good since Sam Cassell was a Clipper, and even then they were still not really close in comparison to the Lakers. Nowadays, one can debate either way about which team is truly best. And fact alone brings the rivalry back to the forefront, and makes it matter again. Not to mention the CP3 drama from the summer.
  5. I remember him a lot Terry and I definitely had a never spoken about competition when the site first started out, over post count. I would sign in and see he had posted on every topic, and I would always have to try to respond to every post. Made for some good back and forth banter. Also, the first mock, the rap competition, etc. Great times, and Terry was a big part of them.
  6. lol, trying to give someone a seizure? I like rap music, but this is pretty bad.
  7. I can't fully remember, but yea the majority of my posting was under Shark. I think I also used Air and Air Jodoin23, but both sparingly in comparison
  8. I wish i knew how many posts I had on OTR v1 O.o
  9. I can talk to a few people and see if they want to sign up. The more people posting, the better! I am personally going to be posting a good amount now that I am back. I have some time on my hands, and obviously the thirst to discuss anything basketball
  10. I think the Spurs are a playoff team, whether Duncan plays all those back to backs or not, so having Duncan rested and healthy for playoffs is the main goal. Pop is a smart guy, though it doesn't take rocket science to make this decision!
  11. well that's a stupid decision if i've ever seen one. it's not even close to playoffs, and with the compressed schedule, he will be lucky not to further injury his wrist. why not let the bulls try and ride out the season, and hope to be back healthy for the playoffs?
  12. Is that Sheed guy still around? He used to be my go to guy for sigs haha
  13. If someone could hook me up with a clean LeBron sig i'd appreciate it ~
  14. Jimmer with his first good game in weeks
  15. Miami is better with both of them, I don't think anyone would seriously argue that. The big thing is, can they consistently coexist late in games? Yet to be seen, IMO.
  16. Stupid decision by the coaching staff to play him that many minutes on a back to back when he's just coming off an injury - but Andrea has to take part of the blame, do you really think he wanted to come out of those close games? Definitely not. Whatever, getting a better draft pick is most important for the Raps in the long run. I can see why they wanted to get some wins after a long losing streak, though.
  17. Hi Brandon, its been too long since i've posted here haha. I agree with what you're saying, and it's pretty clear that Gasol being aggressive is super important for the Lakers success. I was glad to hear he came out and basically said, "give me touches in the paint". Kind of what Chris Bosh was saying over in Miami. Both of them have a pretty wide array of moves and it benefits the team as a whole to keep defenses honest on those guys down low. Bynum is kind of a black hole when he gets the ball in the paint. Gasol can definitely make a good pass to a cutter -Like setting up that nice Barnes dunk coming down the lane the other day
  18. Haha, CP a little bitter, right? Glad Metta World Peace was in the vicinity, in case things got fiesty.
  19. It was great to see, as a Gasol fan, that he finally showed some grit and physicality last night against the Clips in an important game. I'm not going to lie, I laughed pretty hard when he bumped CP3 at the end of the game. Not often do you see Pau doing things like that. Honestly, that's just what the Lakers need. You have two 7 footers, but only Bynum proves that he is one night in and night out. Maybe this will be a sign of good things to come for the Lakers, who seemed extremely out of sync last week. What do you Laker-lovers think?
  20. Hrmm. 7 years is a long time. I think i'll return to posting, to mark this anniversary
  21. Basically Chicago is prying Redick out of Orlando... they could match this but it is such an expensive deal for a guy who is not worth that much. Just continues to reveal the trend that this free agency entails - Way more money to spend then there is players to sign. People are getting over paid left and right. Good pick up for the Bulls though, JJ will fit right in.
