Some teams built themselves properly(San Antonio) and now are reaping the rewards by having a nice mix of old and young talent. Hell, the Knicks haven't been a playoff team in ages, and they are this year. There is plenty of change in the NBA. It is normal in any sport for there to be teams at the top for several year spans, that is why they call the good ones dynasties.

uhhh...not even close. I'm not even a big baseball fan and I can tell you that the MLB playoffs are much more exciting. Nothing touches the NFL post season either. NBA playoffs took a step back when they expanded the first round. hell, if you count college sports, bowl week and the ncaa tournament don't touch the nba playoffs either. nothing is more enjoyable than kicking back and watching what seems like hundreds of single elimination games simultaneously for a weekend. then it heats up even more
