the nhl needs to stop these insanely long contracts. it is really gonna screw a team over, like it is doing for the islanders with dipietro. but besides that, the canucks are gonna have a good year. they are gonna be a scary team with an improved defense and luongo

you are wrong. i agree that cleveland might be the worst sports city, but not with your reasons. the indians were very relevant, and that was less then 15 years ago. they sold out some incredible number of games straight. it broke the record, but then the red socks broke the indians record pretty recently. the indians were one of the most dominant and popular teams in the 90's. and loyal fans does kinda make a good sports city, but the bottom line is that the browns have been the joke of the NFL for so long that it doesnt matter how good their fans are and the indians are rebuilding right now. obviously they are going to trade away guys like victor and lee. they dont need those big contract guys, they need the prospects. it doesnt make them any worse of a sports city. every normal team will go through some rebuilding years. and you are right, tampa and minny are both way better then cleveland. the bucs and lightning have both championships recently and the rays were in the world series and look like they will be a very good team for a very long time.

i think goodell will cut it in half to around 3 maybe 4 weeks. vick doesnt deserve to get any suspension. he got 2 years in jail, thats a pretty good punishment

can someone tell me how the giants are going to be 12-4? and i dont disagree just because im an eagles fan. i could easily see the eagles at 9-7. but the giants lost ward and plaxico on the offense and didnt really get anyone as far as i know. how are they going to improve? plaxico had such a big role in that offense

so you are generalizing for every eagles fan now? the reason there are arguments are because some non eagles fans (im not gonna give names, it should be very obvious), start it. there are more eagles fans on here then any other teams, so if there is an argument about football then chances are that it will involve at least 1 eagles fan. you cant just take that out on all of us or on one random person such as phightins. i have known him for years and he is probably the last person that would go around trying to start fights with people. obviously he will mock you with the mommy thing, but, no offense, i really do think you took his post wrong and over reacted. being passionate and defending your team is different then attacking people. we dont just go around attacking everything that anyone says. i dont know where you got that from, and id love to see some examples if you really think thats true. its everyone, not eagles fans, and especially not phightins. if you are gonna punish people for it then punish everyone, dont just take your anger out on the eagles fans and ignore the grammer mistakes, im not an english major for a very obvious reason

i hate the media. mcnabb wanted vick off the field because the first team offense was doing terrible and needed practice to get better together. its hard to explain, but if you watched the game then you would have realized why mcnabb did what he did. he did the right thing. he had nothing against vick, and he just did what a team leader is supposed to do. but some people and the media just have nothing better to do then take nothing and turn it into something. and its almost worse when people dont watch the game but just watch that small clip of it and then think that mcnabb hates vick

yeah. thats why i said half. NY has enough teams for 2 cities. the jets, islanders, knicks, and mets are barely even NY teams since everyone in NY roots for the other team in those sports (besides the knicks, they just stuck). the bottom half of NY is worse then any other city and i love how someone says a city in this thread and then someone from that city comes to defend it. its pretty funny and happens every time

if they felt they needed a wide receiver then they would have gotten boldin months ago. id still say there is a tiny chance that they can get him, but that is only if denver gets desperate and the eagles can steal him

espn has the worst predictions for every sport every year. it is always either the most obvious dumbass pick or just a terrible one like this. giants offense is going to be bad without plaxico. he is a huge reason why they had such a good run game. now teams can just load up the box and it will really show how much eli doesnt deserve that contract and espn loves either san diego or carolina every year. both teams are good, but can never perform when they need to. the chargers can not beat the steelers in the afc right now i have steelers vs arizona/chicago. the eagles also have a huge chance, but they just have way too many injuries and question marks right now, it is impossible to predict how they will do

the half of new york is pretty bad too, maybe worse then any other city. knicks, islanders, mets, jets (although they are gonna be good this year)

no, not at all. the two things are complete opposite. vick was signed for 1.2 million for 1 year. that is an incredibly low risk for a potentially high reward. for marshall, reid would have to give up a lot in current talent and draft picks. im pretty sure marshall also needs a new monster contract. sure marshall is no doubt one of the best in the league, but he is easily way more of a d-bag then vick. andy reid also does not hand out money to wide receivers. that is why they didnt trade for boldin and is the same reason why they are not going to trade for marshall and there is more that i could sa about vick, but that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread

i wish i read that before haha. i am going through the "HUGEEEE pain in the [expletive]" right now. ive had 3 different resnet people come to my dorm and they couldnt get it working. and i tried calling the help desk throughout the day and there has been a 45 minute minimum wait. im gonna try again tommorrow afternoon and do you know how to get up dc++?

i cant wait till the coyboys are in the 4th quarter of a big game and they have to punt. they get the punt off, but it hits the scoreboard. they have to repunt and the punt gets blocked. they lose the game because of it i cant wait till what jerry jones says when that happens
