i like this defense, but their success will depend on joe mays. if he can do decent enough to hold the defense together then i think they could have a huge year. the other hole if with the coach, but i have confidence in McDermott, hopefully he can fill in and become jim johnson jr like his is supposed to become but i expect a good playoff run from this team, nothing less. there is a huge young core here, and if things dont work this year then we are still set for years to come

first dawkins, then jim johnson and now bradley. obviously all in very different ways, but all really hurt. i just lost a ton of confidence in this defense having a big year. they need to trade for a veteran to fill in

pretty much everything i was gonna say was covered in the monster of a post above, but just to add to the werth thing that he was great in the playoffs last year and was really important to their success, especially in the playoffs. and a stat i really liked about lee is that he had the second least flyballs of any pitcher (AL or MLB, i forget). that is pretty important in a homerun friendly park like philly. he is gonna do great here and i have no reason to think otherwise.

you obviously havent seen a phillies game in a while because jimmy have been really good recently. you have no idea what you are talking about and phillies are absolutely better then the dodgers and cardinals. especially after getting lee. you just hate philly so you just make yourself think the phillies suck. phillies didnt want to give happ and drabek when they didnt have lee, there is no way in the world they trade those 2 with lee. phillies arent getting halladay also, there is no point about talking about it

right before the the phils finalized the lee deal they called toronto and offered the same trade plus happ for halladay. toronto turned it down. i cant see any team willing to give up more then the phillies did. my only hope is that ricardi doesnt break down at the end and take a lesser deal.

writing out the messages doesnt seem worth it. i think it would be faster/easier by just typing it. especially because my handwriting is awful, its probably not gonna recognize some of it. but it is true that the dare has more features, but my thing is that i have an ipod touch, so if i want to play games or anything then i would use that. im not gonna be paying for a data plan, so i would be using the phone almost only for texting and phone calls. and i think that the alias keyboard might be better for that

apparently talks between the phils and indians has really heated up. a few indians scouts were at the at a phils triple A game and this weekend the phillies are playing in san fran, and the blue jays are playing in oakland. they are staying in the same hotel. so all halladay has to do is take a trip down to the front desk and get a new key hahaha

andy reid would never sign him, so it wouldnt be an issue. but for the sake of the discussion, i would no be happy if he signed with the eagles. he would never get a chance to play with mcnabb and kolb hopefully stepping up. it would not be worth the publicity but it would be sick if he converted to a rb. you could run some crazy trick plays

yeah, walter is pretty good, i dont know if he will be better then all those guys (definitely better then cotchery), but i wouldnt bet on it. and larry johnson is pretty good. he was stuck behind priest holmes early in his career so he never had a chance. he had those two big years then has had to deal with injuries and suspensions and all that stuff. i think a lot of people overrate him, but he is still a pretty good rb and should have a good year with cassel and bowe. their offense line does suck though and that is gonna hurt him.

you pretty much summed up my choices. him and dawkins, holding LT to 7 rushing yards (amazing game), and owning big ben but there are too many. he was such a great coach. every week he had a new gameplan and new ways to magnify the best of his players. i have no idea how he did it, but he would constantly blitz yet the other team still didnt see it coming. we can only hope that the guy who is taking over the defense learned even a little bit from jim johnson.
