The good news is that Arron Asham will probably be back tonight. The Flyers loaned David Laliberte back to Adirondack, which suggests that Asham is ready to go. I was hoping that they'd keep Laliberte around anyway, at least until the Briere suspension is over. This means that Riley Cote will in all likelihood be in the lineup tonight and on Friday, which completely sucks. He is a waste of a roster spot at this point.

Tim Lincecum may ask for $20MM+ in arbitration. For those of you who are not familiar with how the arbitration system works, just know that this is absolutely unheard of. When Ryan Howard asked for $10 million a few years ago, everybody thought that was astounding. But then again, it's not like there has ever been a pitcher with two Cy Young's before they even got to their first arbitration case. I am just trying to imagine where this goes from here, if he keeps this up.

Alright, I just saw the hit. It was pretty bad, I can understand the suspension. Just horrible timing. About half of our forwards belong in Adirondack.

Phillies sign Juan Castro. Looks like we found our Eric Bruntlett replacement.

Danny Briere has been suspended for 2 games. I honestly do not remember seeing the hit, so I cannot comment. But I do know that this is about the last thing we need right now.

Three consecutive losses later, it looks like the jinx is in full effect.

Lou has been pretty good offensively, despite the fact that his D blows. Don't think Iverson would really be an upgrade over him, but he sure as hell would sell tickets which is why I think the Sixers should bring him in. They are not winning anything this year with or without AI.

The scary part is that they easily could have lost any of those 5 games against the "bad teams". They have not been impressive to me even in their victories.

Brand seems almost as untradeable as Sammy to me.

I just got around to seeing this last night, thought it was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Effects were cool, but in my book that can only take a movie so far, especially when the acting and plot is as piss poor as it was here. Just like every other major disaster movie. Also, it just dragged on and on and on. Should have known not to waste my time with it.

That game Friday is the only home game over the weekend, fyi. Also, me Bamf and Greg will be at the game Friday as well.

Blair Betts and Darroll Powe are both going to miss a ton of time with shoulder injuries. Great.

It would be nice but it seems like Stefanski has a hard-on for him so I am sure he will last the season. Also, no matter who the coach is, until they get a superstar on this team, or reach the Finals by accident, they will have problems putting asses in the seats.

This is getting pretty ugly. Upcoming schedule is brutal as well.

Yeah they are already in hot water over the Hossa deal (same thing Flyers are dealing with over Pronger deal) so I am sure they are being very careful here. If they can somehow pull this all off though, major props. I saw no way they'd fit all three in.
