  1. Going to the game tonight against Buffalo...pretty excited. Hoping Ryan Miller gets the night off after that long game against Calgary last night. Flyers are going for six in a row. Ray Emery has been almost lights out in these past 5 games, so hopefully he can keep it rolling.
  2. Eric Gagne and Ben Sheets are going to attempt comebacks. Also, as expected, the Cubs are very interested in Curtis Granderson.
  3. Lol...if their regular practices are anything like the one we saw at the Spectrum, that would explain a lot.
  4. Same reason Dalembert is starting. They will not admit that they made the mistake of giving him that contract. At least the bright side with Brand is that there is at least a little bit of hope for him. I think Sammy has worn out his welcome with just about every Sixer fan.
  5. Clearly, since you kept grabbing at it during the game.
  6. At least not many were there to see it.... http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/downsized_1113092006.jpg This was taken from the top row of our section in the middle of the game. Yes, there were only about 5 other people in the section besides me Matt and our other friend. And our section was more crowded than some of the others.
  7. Yeah, shouldn't be too difficult to hear Matt.
  8. Well there will be at least 3 OTR members in attendance. Matt and I will be there and N4S said he will be as well. Should be exciting.
  9. Five game winning streak. Briere came back strong tonight with 2 goals. Emery is 10-3-1 with a 2.18 GAA. Looking good, but the schedule gets really tough right now. The NHL schedule makers really need to be replaced, speaking of that. It took the Flyers 41 days to play their first 15 games, and now in the next 17 days they will play 10 games. How does that work? Haha.
  10. Well I am sure the Yankees are/will be interested, I just don't see them giving up as much as the Red Sox would.
  11. My guess is he will stay put or wind up in Boston. I think the Red Sox can/are willing to make a better offer than anybody else, and Anthopoulos doesn't seem to have the fear of trading him within the division that Ricciardi had.
  12. I wouldn't say the Mariners are terrible exactly.
  13. I personally think the drop from 23rd to last over the past three seasons is due to the departures of Kevin Ollie and Calvin Booth.
  14. That was pretty bad lol. One way or the other, the Sixers did not deserve to win this game.
  15. I am not ready to give up on him but this team as a whole is frustrating the hell out of me.
  16. It really is not dumb at all. Is it also a coincidence that December is when the intensity kicks up as the playoffs near? May very well be a coincidence, but Romo will need to prove that himself.
  17. Good point. Surprisingly he has only been back once though. Seems like he has been gone forever but with all the trades he has been involved in/weird scheduling he has only played one game back here. I was at that game though, and it was pretty freaking sweet lol.
  18. We absolutely have to get Dalembert off this team...wow. Not like that has ever been said before, though..
  19. Yeah, it's supposed to be the best defensive guy at each position. Doesn't necessarily mean errors, though. Some guys (like Derek Jeter) don't make a whole lot of errors because they just don't have the range to get to a lot of balls, and have a chance to make an error on it. So really you need to watch the players to be able to tell who the best are, and the writers who vote on this clearly do not haha.
  20. They did not even sell out the playoff games against Detroit and Orlando. Anyway, you gotta think that Ed Snider and all the big guys with Comcast are getting concerned about this.
  21. Red Sox would probably try him out at third, I'd imagine. Speaking of third, the Phillies are apparently interested in Chone Figgins and Mark DeRosa. Well no surprise why they are interested in Figgins and I am sure there are 20-something other teams interested in him as well. I would absolutely love Figgins in this lineup, but realistically I see no way it happens. I have thought all along that DeRosa would be the frontrunner. Power righty bat and very versatile (could be plugged in at 2nd and shortstop to give Utley and Rollins days off without losing much production, which we have not been able to do for the past two years). I am not as high on Adrian Beltre as I was, I would honestly rather bring back Pedro Feliz. I would be fine with DeRosa and thrilled with Figgins, haha. But the Phillies have not had a legitimate "prototypical leadoff hitter" since Lenny Dykstra. Kind of hard to imagine how good they could be with a rock like Figgins up at the top. I am dreaming.

  23. I would never be able to live in either place, that is for sure.
