Florida IMO

Are you kidding? Lol. Well, about the first part of your statement. You also have to remember that network TV muffles crowd noise big time. It's a major disappointment, especially when you're watching with surround sound. They want to make sure that the only thing the fans hear is the sound of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver's voice. If you get the chance to go to a playoff game, trust me, it is nothing like the regular season lol.

The Sixers looked pretty solid until I turned it off, and Dalembert was actually looking like he had pulled his head slightly out of his [expletive]. Not sure I want to know what happened.

I think there is a center in Philadelphia who would be more worthy of that title.

Disappointed that this wasn't last night, so that I actually could have watched. There is a small baseball game happening tonight that just might take most of my attention. On a similar note, thankfully this game is not in Philadelphia, or they would be playing in front of 1,000 people tops.

The Eagles-Giants game was supposed to be at 4 but they moved it to 1 for obvious reasons. The Eagles had a home game last year on the same day as one of the World Series games as well, and I don't remember traffic being too awful. But yes, definitely a day to avoid South Broad Street if at all possible lol.

Yeah the NY Post is kind of a joke, so even though it pisses Philly fans off to read that, that was their objective. There is an idiot who writes for the LA Times named TJ Simers who basically published the same bull[expletive] when the Phillies have played the Dodgers each of the past two seasons. That is even worse since the LA Times is supposed to be a respectable newspaper.

The article is even worse http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/frillies_are_coming_to_town_mnrbqD4sqsEKH10TfB3k6H

Well, that sucked. Second straight game that they got a ton of shots off, but very little went in.

Also, Brett Myers is back on the roster for the World Series, and Miguel Cairo is off, which means they are going with 12 pitchers. I like that they are going with 12 pitchers, but it does suck that Cairo is off the roster. This means that in the games where Ben Francisco is in the lineup in LF/DH, Eric Bruntlett is our only right handed bat off the bench. But we need Bruntlett for the late inning speed factor. So I guess no matter what they would have done, there would have been a down side. I personally would have gone with 11 pitchers and subbed Myers in for Antonio Bastardo and kept both Cairo and Bruntlett, but I completely understand why they want a deep bullpen. And for the games up in NY chances are they won't really need to go too far into the bench.

Lol. Shane doesn't care. He was like "at least my legs look good". Typical NY Post though.

I agree. If I were a neutral fan, I'd be super excited for this series. And obviously being a Phillies fan, I cannot wait for it. For pitching matchups, we already know that the Yankees will go Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte, Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte, Sabathia. Unclear what the Phillies will do, other than the fact that Cliff Lee will pitch game 1. I think it would be awesome to see Pedro Martinez pitch game 2 at Yankee Stadium, however.

So unlike the Angels. Anyway, with Rivera for the 9th that should just about do it.

Could anybody have though? Look at what he was given to work with.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4593663 Solid hiring. I always liked Acta and think he has a lot of potential. I've always looked at him as a very smart manager stuck in one of the worst organizations in pro sports (the Washington Nationals). Now he will have some talent to work with in Cleveland, and a front office that isn't completely clueless, so we will see how this goes.
