  1.

When Lopez has played with Teletovic this season (46 minutes), he has

turned it over ZERO(!) times. When he has played with Blatche, Evans or

Humphries he turns it over an average of .072 times per minute (.062

TO’s/min. for the season). When Lopez plays with Teletovic, his FG% is

    82.4% (!). When he plays with Evans, it’s 50.2%, with Blatche, it’s

    45.8%, and with Humphries, it’s 52.7%.

When Joe Johnson plays with Teletovic, he turns it over just .026

times per minute compared to an average of .046 with Blatche, Reggie, or

Humphries. In fact, he turns the ball over exactly twice as much per

minute when he’s playing with Humphries (.052) rather than Teletovic

    (.026).

For Deron Williams, the same trend continues. Even though his

turnovers are actually highest with Teletovic on the court (76 minutes),

his other numbers are astonishing. With Mirza on the court he shoots

48% FG, 45.5% from three, and is a +19 in plus/minus. With Evans, he

shoots 37.4% FG, 31.9% from three, and is a -68(!). With Blatche, he

shoots 39.1% FG, 28.2% from three, and is a -45. With Humphries, he

shoots 47.7% FG, 38.5% from three, and is a +28.

The numbers don’t lie here. The biggest difference between the four PF’s

is simply floor spacing and keeping the defense honest. Here’s a video

from the Heat game of when Teletovic and Williams were on the floor

together. We can see Deron driving to the hoop, one-on-one with Shane

Battier and finishing an and-1. You can also see Teletovic’s man unable

to double Deron or help on the drive because he needs to stay home on

    the shooter.

  2. Went to last night's game. Was sitting with the NetsDaily crowd, just like on Monday. As always, it was an amazing experience.

Brooks and Blatche came up big for us (hope PJ realizes how much of an idiot he was for using Brickhouse). It was a relief to see Deron come back in the second half, because the ankle roll looked really bad.

PJ still elects to use Humphries over Mirza. And to no one's surprise, he refuses to play Blatche and Lopez together He didn't even play Lopez in the fourth quarter. Infuriating.

  3. Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this is amazing. Love how IPB has been moving toward a Facebook-y interface. Only thing that's missing is being able to tag other users in posts so everyone can receive notifications when their posts get replies/comments.

Everything is so much smoother. A lot more popup windows while being able to stay on one page.

Wow, eight years. Hard to believe I've been here for almost five. Stellar job, Brandon.

  4. Don't really see the problem. Certainly it's fair to make a case for Lopez/Curry, but it's not like Bosh and Chandler weren't deserving. Just like Kerr said last night, you could also make the argument that Chandler is the most impactful Center in the NBA right now when you combine his off the court impact as well as all he's done for the Knicks resurgence.

Bosh is not deserving. Chandler is deserving, but certainly not more deserving than Lopez, who deserved it more than any other center in the conference.
