It's funny because I'm pretty sure Shaq was enthusiastic about getting a deal with the Nets before this past season when he was struggling to sign with a team. Also, I will be shocked if Stern even considers Shaq's interest in bringing a new team to Jersey... Nets' attendance never topped 18th in the league last decade. With most Nets fans' loyalties carrying over to Brooklyn, that would probably worsen.

The fact that Tebow will probably have a good amount of Florida fans behind him likely factored into the decision. After training camp, no one would have expected a quarterback change five games into the season. But Orton's struggles have only been getting worse, and if there appears to be a sudden positive change in the offense with Tebow running it, then why not make the change when you're at 1-4? I don't expect the decision to receive much criticism unless people either expect too much of him or are overly critical of him.
