  1. For college I am taking... Finite math Speech History 1 English 1 I'm taking all 4 in one day, first class starts at 8 am and the last ends at 12:40 pm. I have minute breaks in between each class, might get brutal some days but I'm only taking these classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I get 4 day weekends every week and one day off in between classes, love it.
  2. Terrence Williams can dunk, shoot 36% and wears #1. I found my Ariza replacement <33

  3. Kevin Martin was brilliant in the limited time he played, too bad the rest of the team did not step up.
  4. GTFO Turbo was Welcome to site by the way.
  5. Read the whole article here. Love him or hate him, you have to admire the competitor in Kobe.
  6. Kyrie Irving Harrison Barnes Enes Kanter 3 of the top 5 or 8 players (including arguably the best prospect) in the draft might pull out. Just awful. Rockets are currently picking at 14 but considering that they the toughest schedule in the league during January, its not unreasonable to expect them to move up possibly 5 or slots in the draft.
  7. I would call out Real Deal for calling him a loser last year but then I realized we are a sub .500 team and we also lost the game.
  8. That is because Ariza is on a tier all by himself.
  9. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/haydons-soccer-pitch/2011/jan/4/wayne-rooneys-brother-john-signs-mls/ Right now he's projected to be a mid first round pick to early second round. SBNation has him going 19th (first pick of the second round) in their new mock draft. I wouldn't be surprised if he went earlier because his name alone is definitely going to draw fans and media attention.
  10. Kevin Martin with 45 points on 17 shots? Holy...
  11. Topic title says it all. Houston, Texas 1. Hakeem Olajuwon - the greatest Houston athlete ever and he won the lone Houston championships (unless you count the AFL and MLS championship years) and is still to this day a big influence in the Houston community. 2. Andre Johnson - arguably the best player in his position, he's loved greatly among the community and very well respected despite the lack of playoff appearances. 3. Jeff Bagwell/Craig Baggio - you don't have to watch baseball to know either of these two if you're a Houstonian. Two of the best baseball players to play for the Astros and got them to their lone World Series appearance. 4. Earl Campbell - probably the greatest Houston Oiler ever. The team may have moved on but his legacy in Houston hasn't. 5. Matt Schaub - Houston is a football town and Schaub is arguably a top 10 quarterback, not much else to say. Honorable mentions are Yao Ming and Brian Ching (2 MLS championships).
  12. Second chance is annoying the crap out of me.
  13. Just please keep Mario Williams. Never ever let him go no matter how much he struggles with the 3-4 (if he does have problems with it).

  15. Meh, as long as Blake is in the contest I don't care about the rest.
  16. I don't see how playing in a bad team should affect his all-star votes, and its because he's on one of the worst teams in the NBA that he's struggling. Love is no big time defensive player but he's solid offensively (although his post moves are limited), but the Wolves have no one to help take pressure off him and run the offense except for Beasley and maybe Ridnour. Regardless a 20/16 player should be an all-star or at the very least, in the discussion.
  17. Okay I know everyone here is already aware of Kevin Love's historic year on the boards, but when I looked at his stat over at his ESPN page I couldn't help but make a thread. Nearly halfway through the season and Love is averaging 15.6 rebounds per game, the next best rebounder is Dwight Howard with 13.2, which is no small feat either. 10.7 of those rebounds are on the defensive glass, that is how many total rebounds Pau Gasol gets in a game. Love also leads the league in offensive rebounds per game with 4.8 and to top it all off, he's doing all this in 36 minutes. Incredible, I am dumbfounded that this guy probably won't make the All-Star team.
  18. Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70959/20110105/kahn_predicts_darko_will_be_an_all_star/#ixzz1ABdK614P At firs this statement appears laughable but not when you dig into the numbers. Darko's statistics this year have been at the very least respectable and he's getting it done at just 24 minutes per game. In the 36 minute per game stat Darko is averaging 13.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.4 blocks per game. Not bad at all, he certainly has the potential to grow considering he's still 25 years old. What Darko needs to improve on is his confidence and consistency (maybe rebounding too) and he'll be a fine center.
  19. Neither are good enough to get Melo. There are so many other teams that have more to offer than the Mavs.
  20. Tough blow, the Mavs are seriously going to miss having him out there. Terry and Marion are going to have step up and help fill the gap. I do like the idea of Dallas acquiring either Richard Hamilton or Jackson. Brendan Haywood + Stevenson + Dominque Jones for Hamilton works in the trade checker. Jackson would take a lot more to get though. I wonder if Dallas is willing to move Butler and his $10 million expiring contract, there would be a lot of takers during the trade deadline.
  21. So basically the Texans are going to need to get lucky in the draft and/or free agency in order to get this to work (and hope the players make a smooth transition)? Not very confident in our ability to get it done in either one of those.
  22. Thank God! The Texans were in talks with Lewis about their DC opening, now that would have been a tragedy.
  23. I can't imagine that Terrence is very happy sitting at the end of the bench either. Too much depth on this team (never did I think that I would ever say that), so many role players that could get minutes on other teams and yet there is trouble getting consistent time for each player on a sub .500 team. I've been saying this for a while but instead of adding more role players, can we just upgrade a starter? I understand that Morey saw an opportunity to get Williams cheap and he took it, but eventually he's going to have to solve this situation. /rant Anyways Bud has been impressive these past several games, seems that the trade for Terrence gave him the motivation to work on his game and play consistently. I do hope that the Rockets hold onto Williams because I honestly feel he may be the top 1 or 2 prospects on the team (debatable with Patterson/Hill). Patterson's basketball IQ has been the most impressive to me though. He was brought up to be an intangibles kind of player, but he's using his intelligence to complement his skill-set. What do you think this does to Jordan Hill though? Hill was a tremendous rebounder last season and his hustle and defense have been up to par. Adelman already seems to be favoring Patterson. I honestly think Hill has more upside but despite the fact that he is older, he may take more time to develop as opposed to Patterson.
