Its still possible that Bosh wants that 6th year and is pushing Heat management for a sign and trade. Miami doesn't want Bosh to be the only one of a potential big 3 to be getting max salary, so they contact Houston and Charlotte about a possible salary dump. Toronto sees this a chance to squeeze an asset or two out of Bosh, nothing wrong with that. Speculation on my part though and I can be horribly wrong.

Seems like I read the bottom sentence wrong. Houston is trying to send a player with a $3.1 million salary (or trade exception, not sure) to Toronto but they refuse to take it on. Edit: Toronto wants a trade exception. Houston owns a $3 million TE from the Kevin Martin deal.

I highly doubt that the Rockets' final offer will be just Scola/Ariza. The entire hype around the Rockets this offseason has been about the loads of assets they have at their disposal. Houston is the point where they need to turn these assets into a quality player or an all-star for next season. As long as we're not selling our souls, we need to do whatever it takes to get Chris Bosh in a Rocket uniform even if it means parting with Aaron Brooks.

Chris Broussard just said that Houston has a very good chance of landing Bosh via sign and trade. He also said that the Raptors are willing to do a S&T despite the earlier report.

Lowry was one of the better backup points last year, Morey can pay him the full MLE and I would be perfectly fine with it.
