  1. Interesting quote from Morey. A hypothetical situation from a Clutchfans article. Link Here's a list of the assets the Rockets have at their disposal. Aaron Brooks Trevor Ariza Jordan Hill Kyle Lowry Chase Budinger Jermaine Taylor Draft rights to Sergio Llull Hilton Armstrong Rockets 2010 first (lottery pick?) Knicks 2011 (must be swapped with Rockets '11 first) + 2012 first round picks That is A LOT of attractive assets and plenty of different scenarios for Daryle Morey to play with. Houston can package any of those along with Shane Battier and Jared Jeffries (roughly $15 million in expirings) to land a top tier free agent. Houston also has the option to sign and trade Luis Scola ($7-8 million maybe?) if desired. Well played Morey, the 2010 offseason is definitely going to be a fun ride for Rockets fans.
  2. Haha same here, I haven't been this excited for a Rockets for a while now.
  3. I'm pulling for a couple. I'd love to see Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Dirk, Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson at least get one.
  4. Not sure if you heard of this but... http://www.nba.com/rockets/tickets/2009_Capital_One_Contest-304493-34.html You get a voucher if you show up and sign a w9 (nothing big really) and you turn in that voucher for a pair of tickets to one of four games. The four games are against the Raptors, Kings, Nuggets and Grizzlies. The line isn't even long if you can get there early, I went there a few weeks ago and was in and out in about 5-10 minutes. Got myself a autographed Power Dancers poster to boot.
  5. Houston. While Cleveland gave up the least in their trade, Houston managed to squeeze in as many assets as possible.
  6. Wow, Deron was one of the last players I would expect this from. I can't exactly blame him for being that upset either.

  8. Morey was actually talking about possible sign and trade moves during his interview. In fact he revealed A LOT in his post deadline interview. Morey: "What players have you seen give up $30 million? There aren't many of those, if any." Great, great point. Any one of those players can be acquired in a sign and trade and Amare is no exception. I wonder what the bid was though, maybe T-Mac + Landry + someone else? Houston is in a great position to make a decent sign and trade offer, I'm just not sure if it will be Amare mainly due to the acquisition of Jordan Hill. Not to mention, Morey seemed to be intending to grab a big man in the draft (it is a big man draft after all) so I'm not sure if Amare will be ideal. Anyways Houston can package the expirings of Jeffries and Battier along with one of the Knicks firsts or another Rockets player. All in all, I think Houston will seek out other players for a potential sign-and-trade but Amare is still pretty high up on that list.
  9. I don't see any of the top tier guys walking away from $30 million. Even if they did, RD and Travesy made an excellent point in the other thread that there are other teams that seem more desirable for them. After the top tier, the rest of the players either don't make sense for New York or just aren't THAT good. IMO its Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer or bust.
  10. Wow Real Deal has been at the top of his game today. Great deal for Memphis, they desperately needed a guy who can produce off the bench.

  12. I think its time we all admit that Daryl Morey is the best GM in the entire league.
  13. Great deal! Still waiting word on protections on the picks.
  14. ^Haha, some actually believe that Chicago is slowly becoming the frontrunner for T-Mac. This is going to go down to the wire.
  15. From the latest reports that should be all we're giving up. Houston is currently waiting for word on the protection of the picks before they finally agree to it. Reportedly Chicago is making one last run at T-Mac and possibly looking to add a third team to sweeten the deal. Its not over yet.
  16. Rockets, Knicks deal is almost finalized! Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/64758/20100216/t_mac_to_new_york_almost_finalized/#ixzz0flU3PqAI Looks like its happening! Houston nearly took the Bulls offer though.
  17. Good God, can you imagine if New York flops in free agency? Houston would be getting 3 lottery picks just for taking on Jefferies.
  18. -Yahoo We get to exchange picks? Great deal!! I've always been high on Jordan Hill.
