Who should the Rockets trade McGrady for now?

Rockets chasing Tyrus Thomas, Jamison and perhaps Jordan Hill. -Yahoo -NY Times -
Suns and Cavs talking Stoudemire trade

Seriously and I don't see the Hickson hype either, he won't be anything more than a decent starter throughout his career. I feel bad for Steve Nash though, he has to spend his last years with a team that has no [expletive]ing clue what its doing. -

Cut the pick out the deal then. If the deal was right then I wouldn't mind parting with Scola. -
Now that's a REAL dunk contest.

Francis was coming along but he injured that knee again, Houston spent a year trying to get him back healthy but eventually realized the guy wasn't going to come back.

Same, at least he was creative.

Kings won't trade Kevin Martin, Iggy is off the table, and Butler is headed to Dallas. Where and who should the Rockets deal Tracy for? The Chicago Tribune reported that the Bulls and Rockets are still discussing a possible T-Mac trade. I'd be happy with a deal like this. Rockets trade Tracy McGrady Bulls trade Brad Miller Tyrus Thomas Kirk Hinrich Bulls future first (lottery protected in 2010) There is always the option of keeping Tracy for the season.

^I know seriously, what the [expletive]? Tracy disappears for half the season, makes a 2 minute cameo and somehow saves Noah. Wack. Also didn't NBC say they wouldn't announce a new season unless Kring's script showed some promise? Maybe I'm just reaching but they must have liked something.

Mavericks and Wizards near completion of Butler deal
Dash replied to Dash's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
Link? I don't see any way that the Wizards would just give back Josh Howard like that. A pick wouldn't have been bad considering the upcoming draft is pretty damn deep...Barea would have been nice too. -

Bud would be going to Washington, not New York. -
You're right, except we're not talking about 82 games. LA has only 28 games left on their schedule after tonight. Rockets had a great, great stretch for 30-40 games before slowly falling out of the playoff mix. Portland has had their fair share of injuries as well but have managed to stay in the playoff picture. Why? Because unlike Houston, Portland has an all-star or two to fall back on in case of injuries. Ron Ron, Pau and Odom have proven these past three games that they are more than capable of holding down the fort till Kobe can return. Each of the three games have been won by double digits and all three teams are in the playoff picture. Odom has been spectacular. Lamar Odom @ Portland - 10 points (4-9), 22 rebounds and 6 assists a steal and block. Spurs - 16 points (6-13), 10 rebounds, 3 assists and a block and steal. @ Utah - 25 points (7-9), 11 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Utah and Portland are two of the toughest home courts in the entire league. Gasol has also had a few monster games and Ron Artest has held his own (struggled tonight offensively). Bynum isn't even back yet...it is amazing that even without Kobe that the Lakers are still a scary team.

I thought the Lakers were nothing with Kobe? With the way things are going, Kobe could opt for surgery and LA would be perfectly fine.

Same, I've been messing with the ESPN trade machine for a while now and I can't piece together a decent trade. I could see David Lee possibly agreeing to the trade but it is unlikely. If it is true that New York won't be resigning Lee in the offseason then it might be best if his bird rights be traded to a team that will be resigning him. Houston could add Chase Budinger to the deal. -
