  1. If the reviews are in the higher 8s then I might consider buying this.
  2. ^Interesting points. I think the plan is to start Ariza on the 2 and Battier will move back up to the 3. Adelman did say Ariza will be 'featured' in the Rockets offense, I'm not sure if that exactly means if he will be our #1 option or not though. I know Ariza had a lot of things opened up for him by Kobe/Gasol but Princeton Offense creates so many opportunities as well. Honestly, I can see Trevor being more than a spot up shooter and getting easy baskets within the offense.
  3. Update: Rockets sign Peter John Ramos per ESPN. No official article yet.
  4. Again, just what the hell has Oden done exactly? I see the potential, he showed us flashes of what he can become but overall he didn't do squat.
  5. I only like the draft and the middle of the free agency period...other than that, I hate it.
  6. Well excluding Jay Williams... 1. First overall pick 2. Third overall pick 3. Fifth overall pick 4. Second overall pick 5. Fourth overall pick Not much different.
  7. Done. Changed to grey. A bust is defined as a player that doesn't meet the expectations of a pick. Just because a player is a bust doesn't mean they are terrible, still can be solid role players to a good team. If you read the post, after the 2006 draft I color coded accordingly to how a player played so far. Greg Oden hasn't shown anything last season that could even upgrade him to grey. Anyways, I used a simple point system (probably defective) to rank the overall picks. 1. First overall pick 2. Third overall pick 3. Fifth overall pick 5T. Second and Fourth overall picks Strange, the even numbers have produced the worst players from the top 5. The real #2 pick is actually the pick right after it, the third overall pick. For more fun I went ahead and used that point system and applied it to the 2009 NBA Draft. 1. Blake Griffin 2. Hasheem Thabeet 3. James Harden 4. Tyreke Evans 5. Ricky Rubio
  8. 2000 1. Kenyon Martin 2. Stromile Swift 3. Darius Miles 4. Marcus Fizer 5. Mike Miller 2001 1. Kwame Brown 2. Tyson Chandler 3. Pau Gasol 4. Eddy Curry 5. Jason Richardson 2002 1. Yao Ming 2. Jay Williams 3. Mike Dunleavy Jr. 4. Drew Gooden 5. Nikoloz Tskitishvili 2003 1. Lebron James 2. Darko Milicic 3. Carmelo Anthony 4. Chris Bosh 5. Dwayne Wade 2004 1. Dwight Howard 2. Emeka Okafor 3. Ben Gordan 4. Shaun Livingston 5. Devin Harris 2005 1. Andrew Bogut 2. Marvin Williams 3. Chris Paul 4. Deron Williams 5. Raymond Felton 2006 1. Andrea Bargnani 2. LaMarcus Aldridge 3. Adam Morrison 4. Tyrus Thomas 5. Sheldon Williams From now on I will color code players according to how they played so far 2007 1. Greg Oden 2. Kevin Durant 3. Al Horford 4. Mike Conley 5. Jeff Green 2008 1. Derrick Rose 2. Michael Beasley 3. OJ Mayo 4. Russell Westbrook 5. Kevin Love Blue - Star Green - Perennial all-star or solid 2nd or 3rd option Grey - Meh solid player, not a bad pick Orange - Bust but not a terrible player Red - Total bust This isn't a matter of who was picked ahead of who, its about how well the pick turned out (apologies to Jay Williams and Shaun Livingston but I'm counting injuries).
  9. I told myself I wasn't going to buy another 2k until 2k11 but after reading that, I don't think I will be able to resist.
  10. ...John Wall was just taken as the #1 pick, who would you want your team to pick? There is no clear cut 2nd pick in this draft, its all based on need like the 09 draft.
  11. To me its between Atlanta and Tampa Bay, but I'll give it to Atlanta.
  12. So Texans get the exact same record after improving in the offseason and with a healthy Schaub? Honestly, I see us getting 10 wins.
  13. Link He does play good defense though he does gamble sometimes but Morey/Adelman must really see something to make a statement like this.
  14. You do realize that last year when Artest joined the Rockets, they formed the best looking team on paper? Two of the top 10 players at the time, two lockdown defenders and a genius coach and gm...yeah sounded great. Rockets fans were thinking the similar things about Ron's role on the offense, experts talking about how this was Ron's last chance at a ring and to redeem himself. February comes by and he doesn't change a damn, he's chucking shots all over the place and still a headcase in the locker room, if anything changed it was that he got a step slower on defense. There was a reason why Morey wanted to ship him out so bad at the trade deadline. Rockets and Kings fans have been saying it over and over during the offseason. Honestly, just how much of a red flag do we have to point out here? Still Lakers fans refuse to listen. I remember Kings fans rejoicing after Ron was traded here and them babbling about how he was a chucker and needed to go. Yeah right, Adelman/Tracy/Yao are going to keep him in check, he's not going to pull anything here...yeah I was that naive. Oh well, you'll realize it soon enough.
  15. Link The buyout seems most likely. Shame he won't be able to carry on the family tradition and retire in Houston, but he is no where near the player we thought we were getting. I could see him making one last stint with a championship team.
  16. ^Yup, its possible the duo might not be dead if they well together.
