ESPN SC Soccer - U.S. women's coach Pia Sundhage announces resignation; guided U.S. to gold medal and had 88-6-10 record Disappointed, but not that surprised with the news considering it was being discussed during the Olympics.

ESPN SC Soccer - Fulham's American striker Clint Dempsey agrees to deal with Tottenham - Sky Sports Just got the text alert, will edit post once I get to a computer. EDIT - Glad this whole ordeal is over with. Appears as though Clint Dempsey signing with Tottenham was probably the biggest signing of the day. Hearing the deal with Tottenham is three years for £6 million and I also read that the fee Fulham wanted from Liverpool was actually higher than that they accepted from Spurs and Villa. What an interesting way for the saga to end. Time to buy a Spurs kit? http://i.imgur.com/ZdASh.jpg

Xbox bros, Buy.com via eBay has a 12-Month Gold Membership Subscription Card for $34.95. Shipping is free. Limited quantities available though. When I bought mine about 2750 had been sold, so I can't imagine they have too many left. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Xbox-360-Live-12-Month-Gold-Membership-Subscription-Card-/400318261863?afepn=5335869999&campid=5335869999&PID=1225267#ht_2629wt_1318

Damn, vintage fourth quarter Marcus Lattimore right now. About time he gets his carries.

Connor Shaw reportedly has a shoulder contusion and his status is unclear. Not looking good for South Carolina.

What gaming system do you have?

78-yard TD pass from Rodgers to Jordan Matthews. Game on.

Move Arsenal ahead of Schalke and it looks good. Arsenal should win Group B with ease, even without the ability to score a lot of goals.

Rules and Information: - I will select 15 games each week, therefore the maximum amount of points possible per week is 15. - You get 1 point for every correct pick. - No points will be deducted for incorrect picks. - All games are on Saturday unless specified otherwise. - Anyone can particapate. - We will be using a point spread. A point spread is the predicted scoring difference between the two teams in a game. If you choose a team that's favored, they must win by MORE than the spread number in order for you to get credit. For example, for the Hawaii at No. 1 USC game, USC is favored to win by 42 points (-42.0). If you choose USC, they must win by more than 42 for you to get credit for the pick. If Hawaii loses by less than 42 or wins outright, you won't receive credit. If USC wins by exactly 42, the game is a push, and no particapants will receive credit. - If a point spread is listed as "Off," there is no official point spread for the game and particapants just simply pick who they feel will WIN the game. - I will be using point spreads provided by the Associated Press with Thursday's lines serving as the official spread. - If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Week 1: (FRI) Tennessee @ N.C. State (Off) Boise State @ Michigan State (-7.0) Notre Dame (-16.0) @ Navy Northwestern (-1.5) @ Syracuse Ohio @ Penn State (-6.5) Nevada @ California (-11.0) Miami (FL) (-2.0) @ Boston College Florida International @ Duke (-3.0) Clemson (-3.5) @ Auburn Michigan @ Alabama (-14.0) Wyoming @ Texas (-31.5) San Diego State @ Washington (-14.5) (SUN) Kentucky @ Louisville (-13.0) (SUN) SMU @ Baylor (-10.0) (MON) Georgia Tech @ Virginia Tech (-7.5)

With Andy Carroll off to West Ham on a season-long loan, I wonder if that opens up a move for Clint Dempsey to Liverpool. Will be interesting to see what happens between now and tomorrow.

Damn, talk about a group of death in Group D. Being a Manchester City fan I don't really mind though. It's what the Champions League should be about. With all the good teams, it should feature even better matches.
