Chris Bosh Suffers Multiple Face Fractures

Recommended Posts

Following their loss in Cleveland on Tuesday, the Raptors announced that Chris Bosh has a "maxilla and nasal fracture to the right side of his face."

Bosh will not travel with the team. He will be kept overnight in the hospital for additional observation.

Also, another quote:

Bosh was diagnosed with a maxilla and nose fracture. He returned to the arena before the end of the game but did not fly to Toronto with the team on the charter afterward, instead remaining in hospital in Cleveland for further evaluation and treatment, the team said in a release.

And just like that, the Raptors’ prospects for post-season play – already perilous – became more so.

Looks like Chris Bosh may have played his last game of the season. I haven't read about any sort of timetable for his recovery, but from what I have heard/read, it is sounding more and more likely that Bosh cold very well miss the rest of the season.

How awful would it be if this picture is the last memory that Raptor fans have of Chris Bosh in a Raptors uniform?

BC better work his magic at the draft and bring some [expletive]ing talent onto this team in one last hope to convince Bosh to stay. He has 12 million in expirings and a lotto pick to play with, get it done.

I still think if we can manage to bring in a legitimate 2nd star or a borderline 20 point scorer at the draft we have a shot at bringing Bosh back, expirings seem to be the going rate for these types of players (Gasol, Jamison, Mo Williams etc), and we have Derozan and a lotto pick to add onto that, get something done please.

Here is the latest update on Bosh's condition.

Bosh had surgery to repair a displaced nasal fracture earlier today in Cleveland. He will remain in hospital there until tomorrow morning at the earliest. There is still no time table for his return to the lineup.

Chris Bosh has had surgery on his nose.

Toronto’s all-star power forward had surgery to “repair a displaced nasal fracture” in Cleveland on Wednesday and will remain in hospital there until at least Thursday morning, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

There was no indication from the organization on how long Bosh would be out.

And, for those of you who aren't away of what exactly Bosh's injury is, here is a picture of what bones Bosh fractured:
